Venue 8 Android: how to capture a screenshot?

Everyone has understood how to take screenshots using the 7/8 site? I assumed power button + volume upward or down might work, but it didn't. Do I need to install a dedicated application? Appreciate any suggestions... Thank you!

You have a print screen button?  Probably abbreviated. Prnt Scrn

You may need to use the Fn + the print screen key if it is combined with another article on the same key.

  • How to capture a screenshot of the program rather than the entire screen?

You may need to download a photo in a post to help illustrate the question or provide more information, but do not know how to capture a region or a specific program to do this.

The following steps were taken here, but modified to capture a program open instead of the entire screen.

    1. When you view the site or program that you're having trouble with, press Alt + Ctrl + PrtScrn (Print Screen) , usually located at the top right of your keyboard.
    2. Open Microsoft Paint by using the start menu, then programs, accessories and finally choose paint.  For Windows 8, search for painting of the splash screen.
    3. Once you have opened the paint, select 'Edit' from the main menu and click "Paste."  CTRL + V work as well.
    4. Now that your screenshot appears in the paint program, choose 'File' in the main menu and click on "Save as".
    5. In the drop down at the top of the menu "save under", choose to save the file to your desktop or your favorite place.
    6. Name your file "adsense.jpg" or something you prefer, choose "JPEG" format in the drop-down list "Save as type", then click Save.

It should result in a screenshot of the specific program when selected.  It must be the active window or the last window that was clicked on.

Once you have the picture, simply click on the photo icon in your replay to browse and download.

This should help with areas that are smaller than the whole screen, making this important area more visible and easier to view via the forums.

    I hope this information helps.

  • How do you take "screenshots" of my system?

I'm asked by a potential employer to take a 'screenshot' of my 'system '. How to make a screenshot of that?

Press "Print screen" on your keyboard, then open Paint and paste the image (press ctrl + v on your keyboard). Then save the image.

Another method is the capture tool (Type who, in the start menu search) which can take excerpts from your screen.

TIP: Pressing ALT + print screen takes a screenshot of the current program rather than your screen.

By design, as it has always been with all versions of Windows, press copy the entire screen, including the desktop wallpaper, to the Clipboard (iow, in RAM).  By pressing + of only copies the active window to the Clipboard.  To display
the screenshot, open a graphics program, such as MS Paint, then press + V.  This will paste the contents of the Clipboard (your screenshot) in the file open and allows you to view or save it as a file for later use.

In the days of DOS, the print screen button to print the screen. But
in all versions of Windows, it works differently and the name of
the key is now an anachronism. The key is not to print the screen.
PrtScrn captures the entire screen and Alt-PrtScrn captures activate
    window.

Either a capture of the image in the Windows Clipboard. Once it is in
the Clipboard, you can paste (Ctrl + V) into any application that
supports graphics (Windows Paint, other graphics software, even your)
favorite text processing). You can change or add to the image you
    like, then print it out.

This ability to manipulate the image in a program before printing
is an improvement on the original method of printing the whole back.
But if you like that old return facility, there are several

I know that your question refers to Windows Media Player but
the free VLC Media Player can easily capture screen
shots of the video reading course and no cropping is
    Mandatory.

You can set it to save the screenshot to the folder of
your choice in the format of your choice and all what you
    is press SHIFT + S.

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    VLC Media Player (32-bit Version)
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_vlc_32/
(works on XP, Vista, 7, 8)
(the name of the file to download is: vlc - 2.1.2 - win32.exe)

After leaving by clicking on 'download latest Version '.
button... WAIT... and the download dialog box opens.

    Next... install the program...

For the installer for your screen Capture... Open VLC and
Reach... Tools / Preferences / video button / video
