My PC turns off just all of a sudden.

It does not give a reason or for being in custody, BitDenfender and Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't say no virus someone at - it a solution?

  • Firefox is not install/uninstall/turn off/on all addon, although there is a constant message to restart firefox?

I receive the message to restart firefox under Tools Addons. With all the extensions appear below they will be uninstalled when firefox will be restarted. Although they never get as well.

I tried to install flashgot at the same time, that it will not settle, it magically disappears when I restart Firefox.

    Xmarks don't get activated.
Free Download Addon Manager will not turn off.

I double checked that if firefox was closing properly, it closes correctly.
I tried safe mode, all the options checked. Deleted my profile for love to bring health back to Firefox. I even downloaded Firefox 4, but none of this has worked.

A likely cause of this is one of the files that stores details of modules installed has become corrupted. You can delete these files and Firefox will recreate.

First, go to your profile folder using the method indicated in article profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data . Close Firefox and delete extensions.cache, extensions.ini and extensions.rdf, compatibility.ini and if there are extensions.sqlite. Now restart Firefox and see if it allows you to add or remove extensions.

  • How to prevent my monitor turning off if all my power settings are tuned to stay all the time?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Hi Jason,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

According to the description, it looks like the screen turns off automatically after one minute of inactivity.

However, we need more information about the issue to help you better.

Please help me to answer these questions.

    1. what parameters are defined in the power plan?

    2. what diet plan is selected?

    3. were there any changes made to the computer before the question?

Here are some steps that should help you to solve this problem.

This looks like a problem of power options. Let's try the following.

    a. open Panel.

    b. click on the power icon Options .

    c. in power options, see the section "Preferred Plan. You should have a "Balanced" plan.

    d. click the option 'change plan settings '.

    e. in the change plan settings window, click the arrow to the right of the next dialog box of the ""turn off the display "option. "

    f. from the drop-down menu that appears, click the option 'Never' .

    g. now, click on the "Save changes" button.

    h. click Ok.

    i. now check the issue.

  • Satellite A40 turn off once all cases the battery is not connected

I felt that my battery has something wrong and I do not use much. I seconded to work on current alternative. The strange thing when windows or linux or any bootable cd running after while the laptop is turned off. But when I entered under windows in safe mode, it is not turned off.

When I plugged the battery again the laptop works very well. I have the Satellite A40. Is this a problem in my power unit or there is a problem in the video card?

    Hello

It's not easy to say what could be wrong. The fact is that the laptop should work without any problem with and without the battery.
You said that this happens with any bootable CD but that this problem also occurs if the operating system has started?
However, I put t I think it happened because of the video card. This any sense doesn t.
It looks a bit like an electrical malfunction of the power supply. But it's not easy to tell without any trial. I think you should ask Toshiba service for assistance.

  • My fan turns a lot all of a sudden. Nothing has changed. Can't find any help on mine.

Hello.  Use this laptop every day since the purchase.  Today fan started running and it will not stop.  It's never happened before.  I do not have a separate on it cooling fan but this is on a round stand which is raised 4 inches from the base.  Impossible to find info on my own.  It is not a problem of closure.  It's just the race nonstop.

I tried all the options of the computer and several of your Web site.

I want only know why it runs so suddenly and it isn't because it's hot here.  I keep the House at 60 degrees.

Everything works fine apart from this.

Curiosity and do I have a problem or not?

    Thanx

Explorer is required to do something on the PC. Without the Windows Explorer (not to be confused with Internet Explorer), you can't access your files.

I guess you got IE and Spider Solitaire opens when you watched? If this isn't the case, then you have something else pending, such as possible malware.

If you search Google or Bing for your laptop brand and model, you can find a Service and maintenance manual for it that will describe how to get to the fan and the heat sink. If it is too involved (I got a HP DV9000, which had to be completely disassembled to clean), you might be able to use a can of compressed air to blow through the airway to get some build up out of it. If you are back blowing through it, make sure that the laptop is off.

If you need help finding a service manual, post your brand and model here, and someone may have access to one and would be willing to share.
Good luck with it and we keep abreast :-)

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro A10 I've had for about 2 years now. During the 2 ~ 3 days I started to have a problem very serious and boring, and you're doing something to run MS word thro to play to a very high technical game (this game can be played on an old 486 no probs) the laptop after about 20 minutes (may vary) usage turns off just with warning message it immediately restarts without any problems and then after different durations down again and again :, (. everything got a clue what the hell happens, please help. :))

    Colin B

    Hello Colin

Portable described behavior is specific to the overheating of the material. If the laptop is not properly cooled the temperature of the material at the level critical and just turns off without warning.

Solution is cleaning. The device must be cleaned and dust should be removed. After doing this unit can take a new breath and you won't have this problem again. You will see that run cooling fan will also soften than before.

  • Satellite Pro L650 turns off after start; DC In and Power LEDs blink on stop

A friend Satellite Pro L650 having worked well until yesterday, all of a sudden turned itself off. Now, at startup, it lights up normally for about 10-15 seconds before turning off suddenly. Turned off, the DC in white/blue LED and the orange Power LED Flash on a broad set of intervals of approximately one second. This extinction happens if I leave Windows or press F2 to enter the BIOS setup.

I guess this blinking is intended to serve as a kind of diagnostic code, but I have yet to track down what it means. Can anyone help?

To avoid confusion, power without the product stack the same, sudden stop experience, except the two LEDs remain solidly lit this time. With or without battery, trying to turn on again immediately after that a shutdown produced no response at all. Remove the power cable and immediately it reconnect again and turn then produced a brutal power off, but in less than 5 seconds. More wait between attempts to market seems to give a little longer powered on State, but without fault, the machine turns off just suddenly. With its short time 'turned on' we are talking, there cannot be any kind of thermal protection?

I had an old Satellite L450D lying around that uses coincidentally the same AC PA-1750 adapter, but use it made no difference. Of course, the battery does not have the L650!

The only previous numbers, that I am aware of this machine have been intermittent case of Windows reporting "Plugged in, not charging", but as my friend use it exclusively on the network, it was not a problem.

Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated...

    WTF?

    What is an unmoderated forum?

Can someone help with my problem?

  • T41 turns off suddenly

    Hi all

My T41 got some big problems as below:

-When the charger is plugged in, I could turn it on and then unplugged the charger, the phone was still on (the battery was good). But if I do not connect the charger, I could not activate it, just some lights flashed when press the power

-When starting, no matter, he started the BIOS or operating system, it suddenly turned off just 1-2 minutes after switching on. I tried restarting several times but each time all the same (it can go just BIOS for 10 seconds, then turns off)

Please help me what is going on with my laptop

    Thank you

It's not going to be the CMOS battery. Most likely guilty is the Council itself.

    Try this old trick:

Disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery, hard and media players.

Press the button "power" ten times now button for ten seconds each time, and thirty seconds the last time around.

Plug the adapter - but nothing else - return and try to power.

    Good luck.

  • New HP G72 turns off at random times about once a day

My new G72 at random times on average about 1 time per day (on a few days twice on others not at all) will turn off just the middle of me to use it. I have to wait for it to turn off completely. Then when I press the power button it will give me the departure of NDS "Recovery windows" message upward again normally (programs I had place works after I click on my user profile) and operate normally until the next day or two later when she repeats the cycle. Any ideas? Suggestions?

I discovered that my laptop can avoid the exit ramp once per day if I raise it slightly out of the office so that it is led may well get rid of heat. In the week since I put my laptop on a small pedestal (and old calcualtor) and raised the bottom a little more than one inch on the desktop I did have one stop. Try THIS if you encounter a similar problem out there in TV land. Has been a suggestion of a friend who I thank profusely. I would put this issue as resolved down.

  • Monitor turns off after 5 minutes & password protect when he wakes up. View properties - > screen saver "Wait: __minutes" and "on RESUME, Password Protect" checkboxes are grayed out.

    Help, please!

I'm on a processor to work, so I've limited the administrative rights on the computer. My work function requires that I propose on the desktop to help others with professional assignments.

THE PROBLEM: After 5 minutes of inactivity mouse/keyboard of the monitor off on the processor to work, she does not even go to a screensaver first, the screen turns off just in standby mode. When the mouse is moved or a key is struck, the screen lights up with a name/password user. I am developing carpal tunnel / repetitive stress syndrome having to retype my username and password so darn times per day, at the expense of some administrative setting of BOGUS Microsoft Windows... SHEESH!

When I click on Start-> settings-> Control Panel-> display-> Display Properties-> screen saver , the "Wait: __minutes" and "On resume, password protect" checkboxes are GRISEES OUT [you can't edit these settings] . In addition, the default screen saver is set to void and no matter how many times I change it to something else and click 'Apply' return empty by default.

    TWO SERIOUS CONCERNS:

Un When I'm away from my desk for more than 5 minutes, if someone arrives at my office, looking for me, it seems that my machine is completely off, so that co-workers can get the impression that I am out of the office when I could very well be just down the Hall.

Two The Office I'm implemented in a motion sensor energy saving lights in the office, if the lighting turns off automatically too, so if I'm missing in the server room or help someone at their work station for an extended period of time, if someone comes to my office, looking for me, my machine seems to be completely off AND turned off the lights in my room , so it's as if I has not yet come to the office that day there! PEACE

    Hello JDG_SF, welcome.

These options are very likely controlled by your GP (Group Policy) settings on your domain. Due to the nature of the work of rights how administrative, there is no way to work around this problem, unless you have access to change group policy settings that affect all the machines on your network.

You would need to access or to change the settings of GP or find someone who already has access.
