Verbose output for srvctl

DB version: 10.2.0.4

I know that oracle recommends marketing and stop instance/db using SQL * more.
But with srvctl, you don't get to see the messages.
$ srvctl stop instance -d obprod -i obprod1
$ srvctl start instance -d obprod -i obprod1
When I tried the 'Comments' option
$ srvctl stop instance -d obprod -i obprod1 -v
PRKO-2002 : Invalid command line option: -v
How do I view messages (that you get with SQL * more) during the shutdown and startup when using srvctl?

Hello

How do I view messages (that you get with SQL * more) during the shutdown and startup when using srvctl?

I always watch the process of starting and closing of the database using the database log file (alert_ . log), even using srvctl or sqlplus.
This is the best place to identify the problems during the startup and shutdown (for example the Session with the closing of the database, or see a clean boot).

Find your alert.log on background_dump_dest:

SQL> show parameter background_dump_dest

  • PLAN to EXPLAIN verbose output when you ask explain simple plan on SQL

    Hello. In short, I have two questions: first, inability to run EXPLAIN PLAN via SET AUTOTRACE ON EXPLAIN and second, extremely detailed output when I connect as SYSDBA to bypass the first issue.

    Thus, question number one:
    I am trying to obtain an EXPLAIN PLAN via SET AUTOTRACE ON EXPLAIN to a simple SQL query:

    So, first question, why I get this error? Object should be available to everyone, right?

    To work around this I connect as sysdba and get the second issue: the following extremely detailed output
    HR@XE> connect / as sysdba
    Connected.
    SYS@XE>  select decode(rownum,1,'JAN', 2,'FEB',3,'MAR',4,'APR',5,'MAY',6,'JUN',7,'JUL',8,'AUG',9,'SEP',10,'OCT',11,'NOV',12,'DEC')

    Welcome to the forum!

    Every time you post please provide your Oracle Version 4-digit (result of SELECT * FROM V$ VERSION).
    >
    So, first question, why I get this error? Object should be available to everyone, right?
    >
    Your username may have access to object. But you must have dba privileges to access the objects of database views.

    The "ORA-01039: insufficient privileges on the underlying objects of the view" message tells you that the user has privileges to access the BASIC OBJECTS used to generate the view. Access to these basic objects is necessary to generate the plan you want to see. To work around this, I connect as sysdba and get the second question: the following extremely verbose output
    >
    And that's because sysdba has access to objects in the view database. You asked for a plan, and you guessed it. This verbose output IS the plan and all those that oddly named tables are presented in order to satisfy your request are included in the plan.

    Make your query using DUAL citizenship or SCOTT. Table EMP and you will not get the error.

  • How to change the audio output for the metronome

    Hello

    I would like to send the metronome (and speech signals) for monitors to the scene in the ear.

    I understand that I can do this in MainStage using different output for the above titles vs. the rest of the 'Concert '.

    I tried to follow the instructions of the Manual:

    Change the audio output for the sound of the metronome

    1. Choose the MainStage > Preferences > General.
    2. In the section of metronome on the general tab, choose another audio output on the shortcut menu to exit.

    PROBLEM

    1. on the general tab, only the outputs 1-2 are available/selectable (likely, these are also by default for all "Concert")

    2. Why is this process in the manual if it is not executable (without doing something to another additional Set up)?

    3. it's probably among the requirements of setting up more critical even easier for using MainStage with a live band, so why am I having to ask for help at all!

    Rant on (its been a long day)

    Grateful for any help to solve cela. I guess I can send the metronome (such as a click track) and speech signals on the same outputs, which are separated from the rest of the Concert... or should I change the outputs on the other tracks and keep the outputs 1-2 for the metronome marks / voice?

    Thanks in advance for all advice and my apologies for my frustration. JM

    To access the output audio, you need an audio interface with several outputs.

  • How do the last 4 paintings of a loop output For?

    Hi people,

    I'm almost at the end of my home. I really hope that someone could help me please.
    Any input would be welcome. VI attached.

    Explanation of VI:
    I initialize an array.
    The random number generator simulates my entry camera.
    According to which iteration it is, the data are added in one of the four tables of output.
    "x - y * floor(x/y) ' gives a value of remainder of 0, 1, 2 or 3.
    'Case Selector' just add 1 to "x - y * floor(x/y) ' for case 1, 2, 3, or 4.
    Pictures 1, 5, 9 etc. are added to table 1 (case 1).
    Photos 2, 6, 10 etc. are added to table 2 (case 2).
    3, 7, 11 etc. are added to table 3 (case 3).
    Shots of 4, 8, 12 etc. are added to table 4 (4 cases).
    Average output displays the average value or total divided by the number of photos stored in this table ("Set (IQ + 1)'").

    My problems are:

    (1) I would like to output only the last 4 sets of data from different average output files, 1, 2, 3, and 4 to 4 (i.e. under .csv what is displayed on the screen in indicators "average output was 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the end of all iterations.)
    Where should I put my file save the diagram disabled so that it does?

    Put outside the main loop with automatic indexing on gives me a file with all previous data. (This is not feasible under my number of shots should number in thousands)

    Put outside the main loop with automatic indexing for off gives me only the last data series. (I need the output for 4 tables, not only the last run)

    Inside of the main loop to put (as shown) gives me the same number of files as the number of iterations. (Once again not possible due to the large number of files that will be generated and slow down the camera capture)

    In order to capture fast camera, I wish that these 4 files output only once the entire image capture are over.

    2) would preferably name the file once and for the program to add "(1)', ' (2)', ' (3)' and '(4)' file name tables"output on average"but appropriate file path controls are an another big headache for me.»»»

    3) PS is the initialization of an array enough not to use the memory manager? Or should I initialize 4 Bay?

    I am using Labview 2010.

    Thank you very much
    Charlene

    Hi Laura,

    I assume that you want to store the 4 x 4 table of average production for the last 4 iterations (correct me if I'm wrong). If so, I've set up the example as shown below:

    So, basically, what I did is I created a comparison group to check if the iteration is the iteration total last 4, you have defined. I have included a number to each of the business structures to set in which case it belongs to. The comparator will pass a Boolean result to the structure of the housing that contains the algorithm for writing a file. Since you mentioned that you want to create a file for each of the case, I created as a way to build to create the customized for each case file name. You will notice that there is a concanate string.vi that allows me to customize the name of the file. Since the common file must be exit average, I take the digital constant from the structure of the deal and convert it to a string and concanate to make it in e.g. output average 1. Please note that you need to put a basic path such as in my case, I want to save in the folder named ' New folder (3) "to my office.

    The writing on the case folder occurs only if the condition is true (that is, the last 4 iterations of the loop for)

    Once done, I created the header and write it in this text file and followed by data from spreadsheet on the next line.

    I enclose the code for your reference. I would like to know if this is what you wanted.

    Thank you

    Warm greetings,

    Lennard.C

  • I am trying to use the speakers on my midi keyboard as the default output for Windows 7 device

    I am trying to use the speakers on my midi keyboard as the default output for Windows 7 device. I have a midi keyboard Casio CTK-3000 and you want everything to sound out the two speakers on the keyboard.

    You can not.

    You can exchange midi data between the keyboard and a PC via the USB port. But not strong like the keyboard is not an audio device and therefore doesn't have the proper drivers.

    MIDI is not good in itself, it's just that a series of statements sent to a electonic module that transforms these 0 and 1 for sound samples. This isn't the same principle as an audio card/device.

    See you soon,.

  • How to check if "PO output for communication" uses XLM or OracleReports

    I need to change the purchasing document "Exit IN. for communication", but I must first identify if it uses XML Publisher report or reports of the Oracle.
    How can I check that using the client?

    Any help is welcome.

    Rodrigo

    Hello

    OK, here's what I did to customize the presentation of PO:

    1 create new templates in BI Publisher:

    1.1 Please download the original models:
    In my evolution, I used the original models of Oracle as a starting point. If you get their first:

    Logon with respo XML Publisher administrator and navigate to 'Models' > search model whose name "Standard purchase order Stylesheet" and click on it in the result of the research. Click the download link to download the file .xls on your local drive. You can repeat that for all other models that I mentioned earlier, depending on which layout you want to change.

    I do not recommend to change the original files. In case of problems you can always return to the original version of Oracle.

    1.2 now to create your own templates:
    In XML Publisher administrator, you can create a new template. As model name, use a meaningful name with a prefix such as "XX" or something that you usually use for your own developments.

    The rest of the fields in the template definition must be equal to the standard models (so just copy & paste the values from there). And you can download the original .xsl file to the beginning.

    2 let know to use your own XML Publisher templates:

    connection with a PO administrator/super user responsibility:
    2.1 (by purchase) > Setup > organizations > Options purchases > control tab > set "Output PO Format" = PDF
    2.2 (by purchase) > Setup > purchases > Document Types > find the 'Purchase order - Standard' Document Type > define the presentation of the Document Type = "XX purchase order Stylesheet" (put the name of your custom here template!)

    Repeat step 2.2 for other Types of documents, such as agreements to cover and if necessary press coverage.

    3. test:
    Now try the PO output for communication. If everything has worked, you should see a purchase order as a PDF with the same layout as before. Now it's time to start customizing the layout.

    4 customize the page layout:
    You must change the XSL templates. You need some knowledge of XSL - FO, but with some programming experience little, you will have the concept quite easily. In fact, the XSL - FO offers many possibilities to model your page layout.

    BUT: Change the XSL template to change your "LAYOUT" only, not the data of the report part. Of course you can text coded hard and calculations in your XSL, but dramatic changes of the portion of data are not really possible with this.

    If you want to do, then search on Metalink, there is a document that explains how to customize the data for printing of PO. I don't have the Note in his hand right now...

    BTW. XML Publisher is the former name of the product, Oracle has renamed it BI Publisher. In EBS, it is still often referred to as "XML Editor". You can see the two names as synonyms. You pay more attention to the version of BI Publisher, which is integrated into EBS is different from what you can have as a stand-alone versions.

    Best regards
    David.

  • Echo verbose prompt for Labview

    Hi all

    I need a direction return verbose progress in the windows command prompt.

    I run AVRdude with labview to perform updates to the firmware. AVRdude is an executable that communicates with the bootloader on the chip to download the binary. the process may take a minute or two depending on the size of the hex file.

    During this time, I want to display a progress bar or some wordy dictating the progress.

    I know how to run the labview executabel, but I can't get the result at the end of the download process. which is different when you run the process manually. If I manually run the same command, I can see progress on the cmd window.

    Here is a screenshot of the result, the code I used is attached.

    and here is the result I get at the end of the process:

    Thanks for your help and your advice.

    I doubt that is possible using the system Exec VI.  That VI is just like any other VI you can write, that the output is not available to the terminals until the VI completes its execution.

    If the code that you call the command line was written by you, you could the detailed data in an output file and read it through Labview.

  • How make for the image path full output for recorder/console

    Hi all

    I'm just starting getting my hands dirty with the lr sdk and could do with a little guidance.

    For a part of a plugin, I need to retrieve the path complete to each image, and well I can achieve what I want I fight to print the path to the console log / and can not understand why.

    Here is a snippit of code to illustrate things:

    for photo in exportSession:photosToExport() do

         filename = photo:getFormattedMetadata( "fileName" )
         outputToLog( filename )  -- Works as expected
         folderName = photo:getFormattedMetadata( "folderName" )
         outputToLog( folderName )  -- Works as expected

         local path = LrPathUtils.standardizePath(photo:getRawMetadata("path"))
         outputToLog( path ) -- Output is always blank

         -- and yet when passed to exiftool the path is correct and works as expected

         LrTasks.execute("exiftool  -Copyright=\"Imaginary person\" \""..path.."\"")

    end

    Basically, I can get the path and use them as part of a command, exiftool, but cannot work, how the path to the log console to output debugging purposes. Am I missing something simple, or is it a voluntary limitation?

    Any help much appreciated.

    I don't know what the problem is. What camera you're out in?

    i.e. have you tried logger: enable ("logfile") - that works for me in OSX to save to a file.

    Here is the code I use:

    Self.Logger = LrLogger (logName)

    function local logToFile (msg)

    local f = io.open (self.logFilePath, 'a')

    If f is nil then

    Debug.pause ('failed to open log file', self.logFilePath)

    return

    end

    f: Write (LrDate.timeToUserFormat (LrDate.currentTime (), "%-% m-% d % H: % m: %s"), "", msg, "\n" ' ")

    f: Close)

    end

    If self.verbose then

    -self.logger:enable ("logfile") - check all in the log file.

    Self.Logger:Enable (logToFile)

    on the other

    local = {}

    -debug output is removed when you don't sign in details

    trace = logToFile,

    Info = logToFile,

    warn = logToFile,

    error = logToFile,

    fatal = logToFile,.

    }

    Self.Logger:Enable (interventions) - remove trace & debug.

    end

  • Digital Coaxial output for audio/video receiver - does not

    I connected my LCD TV to my office from HP (9340f) using the S-video output on a Nvidia 9800GT video card.  The video is awesome, but I can't get the sound to work on my Harmon Kardon AVR146 receiver.  I plugged the exit at the back of the HP to the coaxial digital input at the back of the digital coaxial receiver.

    When I open the properties for audio devices and test the audio from Realtek, I can hear the sounds (piano?) of the speakers connected to the receiver, however, when I play video through windows media, or play a video game there is no noise at all.

    Any suggestions?

    have you gone to control panel-> Sound, then verify that the digital output is enabled.  No speaker ouput.

    (If you are using Vista, you should see a green check mark next to it)

    It is always useful if you tell us what operating system is installed. In this way without guesswork... I think maybe required ESP.

  • Satellite P200-1EE: DVD player HD Toshiba "video output for external device cannot".

    Need help!

    My P200-1EE won't play HD DVDs. At startup the HD DVD software with an HD DVD in the drive, the drive displays on the screen, and after a short time returns an error. The message is ' + Toshiba HD DVD Player - impossible to output the video to an external device. Please change your display device by pressing the FN + F5 keys after the end of the application ' +.

    Problem is that I do not use any display on the screen of the laptop. Only the screen of the laptop is available when I use FN + F5 suggestion. It does not cure the problem.

    Drivers are up to date as far as I can tell.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    I searched this forum for similar issues and I think I have a solution.
    It seems that the Realtek audio driver causes this problem.

    According to this Toshiba document a new soud driver installation will help you solve this problem of HD - DVD.

    Check it;
    HD DVD title does not play ("unable to output the video to an external device")

  • Graphics card double output for the motorway A58

    Hi guys,.

    Work just gave me a Lenovo A58 SFF and while I don't have the serial number, I don't know what follows-

    Lenovo ThinkCentre A58
    Small form factor
    Intel CORE 2 QUAD Q8400
    4 GB OF RAM
    Hard drive 320 GB

    The machine is used only for work (spreadsheet, processing and internet) and I would like to run two monitors (both with VGA, PCI and HDMI inputs), but Lenovo A58 LTS offers only one VGA output.

    I did a quick search for graphics in this forum, but suggestions seem to be a little out of date as the machine is a bit long in the tooth now.

    As I work for a small business, we do not have a 'IT Department', so it is left up to me to sort.

    If you could please provide me with some options, it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you

    Chris.

    (1) the onboard graphics on the A58 can support 2 monitors. The card is in fact the second connector for the integrated graphics card.

    (2) limitation is that to do with graphics performance, you can not play on it. But Office apps will work fine. normal movies will work as well.

    (3) it's a true second monitor, you can expand the view to make both monitors independently managed.

  • How to delay and trigger output for redeclenchables DAQ

    I make redeclenchables data acquisition based on the technique described here and that my departure point couple year I used joint comes with LabVIEW example.

    What I realize now is also already done that I need to delay the recognized outbreak and output as a trigger for any other device signal.

    How to make a simple diagram:
    Trigger is recognized-> DAQ [which works perfect already more than a year]
    -> wait 100ms-> exit the trigger [to be added]

    Using Windows XP edition family, NI PCI 6110

    I thank you in advance to anyone interested

  • No audio out headphones don't connect the output for self-powered satellite speakers or headphones

    The laptop of ACER3680 has and the service through the audio output headphone rare opportunity, but seems to have standing to close. Goes same for self powered satellite speakers that worked at the beginning when new, but as with the helmet seems to be permanent stop. The devices(headphones,speakers) were attached to another laptop and work very well here, but not on the 3680 Acer with Windows XP Media Center Edition. The other laptop where they work is an Acer 5315-2681 with Windows Vista Home Basic. I suspect a driver issue, but multiple downloads have not solved the problem. I was told that there may be a conflict between Acers and Windows embedded audio settings, but I don't know where to look to remove the conflict, help me pleeeeeeaasssee.

    Hi Raif1945,

    You receive an error message while you try to use your headset or speaker amplified satellite auto?

  • Video output for PXI embedded real-time?

    I plan to buy a controller PXI real-time Embedded for security monitoring.

    Is it possible to use the video output of a controller PXI running RTOS to display a LabVIEW RT application messages? According to the literature, it seems that the use of the video output is more possible for Controllers PXI running Windows XP.

    Is there a specific application with LabVIEW RT?

    Thanx.

    H.L.

    Well, it works using the IMAQ RT video Out VI: images are displayed properly via the video output of the RTOS PXI controller running.

    Thanx.
