Verification of updates that Windows 7 takes forever
I know that it's pretty common, but when I try to get updates on my computer, the control never gets anything done. I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium
Set the automatic updates never 'Find updates' and reboot, then try again. Skip KB3073810. Include KB3145739 and KB3153199, however. Links and info provided here:

2. are there any other security software installed on your computer? If you have any third-party security software installed on your computer, I suggest you to disable the security software and then check if it helps.

Verification of updates on Windows 7 just yet to check for updates
This just started happening a few weeks ago. Whenever I go to Windows Update, it shows that the red shield with the x in the middle and said: updates available for your computer.
When I click on check for updates, it never ends. He's sitting there for hours to 'check updates'.
I have an internet connection and can get to the sites Web and e-mail very well so it's not the question. I ran sfc/scannow and has nothing found.
Switch your windows update setting to never check the updates temporarily
Restart the machine
Then you download this from your download folder run from there.
https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/library/security/MS16-039?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
Download the x 86 for 32-bit or x 64 for 64-bit
Install it and restart when prompted too after he did a search of stand-alone for updates that should not
take too long, it took all of 5 seconds, '' If '' windows update settings are turned on forever check
updates before running from the downloads folder.
Once it installs and restarts
You can reset your updates affecting everything you had before default =...
Then check the updates manually.
I think that the solution came from Softpedia and Joel_CS posted on this thread,

I recently had to have Windows 7 installed on my computer because Windows 8 only supports AutoCAD. Now I have internet problems. I can access the intrernet; I can also move quite well in Outlook, send and receive e-mails. My problem is that, while trying to reach a Web site that my comuter takes never before. It is not normal that my laptop three months old. Once I get to a Web site, my computer takes forever to finally open the Web site. Forget trying to select another TAP and go somewhere else on this site. I uninstalled the Trend Antivirus and installed Microsoft Security software and still no change. This could be the cause? I use a LAN or Wi - Fi. I never uninstalled Microsoft Office and re-installed.

Something must be wrong, for example, it will take nearly 7 minutes to empty the trash containing 2 GB!I feel that I did something wrong because my first installation of windows 7 this problem does not occur
Thank you

Hi Zvika,
If running Chkdsk (according to the post of Ramesh Kumar) does not help, you can determine whether this problem is caused by third-party shell extensions. You can use ShellExView from Nirsoft to work.

Updates for Windows 7 take hours to install
I have Windows 7 installed on my new Packard Bell. Download updates takes hours and hours and if I don't download strange things begin to happen to programs - is this normal or do I have a computer problem? I had to restore the system on three occasions already. PC World say to install (50 + updates) for a week, the problem could have allowed.
Hello Chrissie D,.
Time depends on the speed of your computer, the internet connection, the number of updates installed and the time required to download updates of the questions too. Some updates may take some time to install though.
If the installation is freezing, try troubleshooting Windows Update tool before installing the updates.

Updates automatically downloaded cannot be reused. Suggest you open the link "View update history" of the icon of the Windows Update control panel and write updates have been downloaded and installed.
Then download and save them from the Microsoft Download Center .
Just enter the number in the field to Search All Download Center and then click on the "magnifying glass" to start the search.
You can also change the language and geographic location by clicking on the link edit in the top right of the page.

HP officejet pro 8600 has made an update and now it takes forever to print a page.
Windows xp sp3. There are sometimes as long as it cancels out just. The update request has shown on the printer, I pushed Yes. No updates on pc. Any idea on how to get to his car fast?
I bet I know what is happening here. When you set up the printer, you have probably enabled "Ink alerts." The default value for this setting is "Always on", which can cause slow printing on XP systems. You must change the setting "only when I print.» That should speed up communication to the printer. This document is intended for a network connection, but the steps to change the setting are the same. Let me know what happens.

I have a new install of Windows 7. It takes several hours just to collect the list of installed updates and many more hours to download and install those I select Install. What's wrong? I have a fast computer.
Help, please

Windows Backup takes forever to fill
Hi all
Yesterday in the evening, I started a full backup of my system using Windows backup. It was 20:00. At 23:00, it's always 12% completion. At 07:00 this morning, it's 16 percent.
There are two internal drives in the computer: System drive is a WD Velociraptor 300 GB, with about 87 GB of data in it. Data disk, where I moved also directories of users data, is a WD Caviar 500 GB, with about 250 GB of data in it. The backup drive is a WD 1 TB external connected via USB2.
Regarding the backup settings, due to the fact that it is the first that I do after the construction of the machine, I checked all options, so "everything" is saved + image of the system is performed. Why it takes so long? Is - this plausible? It is still in a phase of "slow" in the process, after which it is likely, it will speed up, or I better would abandon the process and try less "aggressive" backup options (or another backup program...)?
Thank you very much in advance,
concerning
Hello
I think I found what happened to my backup:my users files are not in the system disk, rather in a second separate one, all the options for the backup, i.e. the two drives together audit AND users 'collections', seems to create a sort of "loop".
Unchecking the "data disk" backup (in fact, perfectly useless because in order to safeguard this up I better just copy the 'Users' directory on the backup disk!) and unchecking the collections of users did the tour and performed in a few minutes the system disk backup. It seems that I still have to come a long way before I fully understand the implications of Windows 7 is 'collections', 'links' and so on...
I hope that my 'incident' can be useful to someone else...

problem with verification of updates of windows, code 8024402f error how to fix?
When I check the windows updates, it informs that "there is problem updates windows update" error 8024402F code, please help me
Hello with this error
On the page says update recent updates check says NEVER
There is hope
I will paste
If the error 8024402f
And on your update page wrote
These latest control upgrade NEVER says
There is hope
You can try this. It's now all 48 hours because I found a possible solution to this day of 5 on 5 computers using Windows 7 64-bit and 3 of 4 with Vista have been fixed.
I'll paste most of the information abit of a story.note should be on your page to update under control more recent for update said NEVER so then maybe hope.I had this problem as well and tried many recommendations, but none apparently worked. On the update box on my computer has recently tried update was NEVER.
So if you have this perhaps it will work for you I tried a certain path with all have the same apparent result with error 8024402F coming.
It is a such crazy crazy world that we live (murphies law seems to be in control.)
Do the opposite which is logical
First define your update affecting NEVER RECEIVE UPDATES, then UNCHECK the two boxes below if they are checked (a topic everyone can update,) and the other to be informed of the available updates. (That one a box Monte are you shore you want to not be notified etc..)
NOW USING MURPHIES LAW leave all settings for example being NOTHING of WORK SHOULD
NOW CLICK THE BUTTON UPDATE, SURPRISE SURPRISE, NOW, YOU CAN REFRESH. !!!
After update, search for new updates after the first batch.
Then the settings can be set back to normal for example receive updates automatically, check the other two boxes.
Like you, I have Windows 7 64 bit.
I had additional information in the event of no success, but appears that this first part works well -
I'm using Vista - Windows mail 6.0.6000
What is a POP3 account? If so, see if the problem persists if you uncheck the send & receive Messages at startup.
A few steps, you can try.
- Delete the account, restart, and then add it again.
- Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email
http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htmNote that for many AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the option is available.
- Try to compact and repair the database.
