He got the printer to recognize our internet provider because we have wifi. Whenever we try to print a document, it will print up to now and then disconnect it from the internet.

  The lights on my wifi box go happy flash, and as long as the printer stays on after that the internet does not connect. By the time the printer is turned off, the internet connects very well. At the beginning we thought that maybe there is a problem with our wifi zone, and we contacted Suddenlink on the nature of our problem.

  They sent a person tech to ourselves. He spent an hour trying a lot of different things without success. He admitted he was perplexed, and he said he would have a senior technician out to solve our problem. This man came, said that they had seen once this problem before with a laptop.   SMC routers are "atypical" and have problems with the HP printers (among others).  Here's how we should move forward:

  • Disconnect the internet SMC router by land the cable to the router.
  • The router power cycle (unplug, wait 30 seconds, turn on the power).
  • Power cycle the printer.
  • Run the wizard from the control panel wireless configuration (configuration > network).

  Now, run a Test network configuration to get your IP address.

  Open web page internal printer by accessing its IP address.  Select networking and wireless (802.11).  Under the IPv4 Configuration tab, select manual IP:

  • For the manual IP address, use the IP address of the printer to the existing address with a lag.  For example, if the printer's IP address is 192.168.0.5, then use 192.168.0.30.
  • Manual use the mask subnet 255.255.255.0
  • For manual default gateway, leave blank.  This is important.

  Select manual DNS server:

  • Fill the oil fields in preferred DNS server and DNS server auxiliary manual Manual.  This is important.

  Press on apply.

  Disable the SMC wireless router and reconnect the cable.  Now turn off the printer and all the computers connected to your network.  Wait 60 seconds and then turn on the wireless router and then turn on the printer.  Then turn on the computer.  You should be able to browse the internet while the printer is also on.

  Finish by installing the SW on the computers that you want to print from (if they do not already have the software).  A suggestion more - do not install the HP Customer Participation program.

  No, not back... you have a problem, but it is clearly not the same.

  I am not able to reproduce an error on a daily build, then perhaps you could try to restart with the modules disabled in the Help menu to see if it is an aberrant add-on cause you pain.

  I am under W7 with a TV USB2FM hauppauge tuner. Shows do not register. The event log shows events like this:

  (show) not saved. When the show had to register, there is no TV signal.

  When I initially start Media Center and start live TV, I get snow, which I think is why do not save the show.

  If I press the channel upward or down, I get a station (I see the program without snow) and then I can return to the previous station channel and it all works.

  However, as soon as I stop Media Center, the same thing happpens - I get snow on the first station I set causing recordings to fail.

  -Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
  -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. Use current IP of the printer except replace the last set of numbers avec.250
  -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
  -Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the bridge and the first and second DNS fields.
  -Click 'apply '.

  Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

  After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
