An internal error occurred during the installation of the Service Pack (SP1) 0 x 80073712
I can not install Service Pack 1, the error that I get when using the standalone installer is 0 x 80073712, an internal error is produced so that installation of the Service Pack.
I tried a few times and tried in safe mod etc, everytime the same result.

Vista - Error Code: 8024200d (could not install Service Pack 2)
I have tried to download service pack 2 for Vista for months and cannot operate. It will always fail. I also downloaded the stand alone and it does not work too.

I already have Service Pack 1 on my computer and Vista. I'm trying to automatically upgrade to Service Pack 2 and the error code: 80093102. I'm not in a position to know what means this error code. When I try to manually install Service Pack 2, I said that I don't have Service Pack 1. So I try to install Service Pack 1, but tells me that it is already installed. I go back to try to install the Service Pack 2 but tells me once more that I don't have Service Pack 2. Sounds like a Catch 22. Any suggestions?

XP Service pack 2 Installation problems
I recently had to reformat my computer and reinstall XP Pro on it. I have already validated my windows. Whenever I try to get service pack 2, however, it gets to the point on the installer where it says 'check product key' (which is almost right at the beginning) and everything goes ever further. No matter how long wait he just stay here on this message. Help, please!

There are 3 steps that we have to do to get SP2 installed.
The steps are:
(1) please go to the CMD prompt (start / run--> cmd.exe)
(2) then type cd /d %windir%\inf and make sure that we are in this directory.
(3) then type ren oem*.inf oem*.old, he goes back to the command prompt after
giving you an error (don't you worry about this)(4) then type ren oem*.pnf oem*.old1, he goes back to the command prompt after

the folder.(6) then find by name INFCACHE.1 file and make a backup of it on the desktop

Problem with windows update and Service pack 1 for Vista 32 bit.
A screen will appear that says I need to download the Service Pack 1 for Vista. He also says that it is more optimal to download the much smaller file, through Windows Update, rather than on the site. But when I check the Windows Update, it did not for me to download. Update verification that history does not display it has been downloaded before, even if the other Windows updates have been. Do I need? SP2 error: "the Service pack installation cannot continue.

Hope someone can help with this.
When I try to install SP2 I get this message "the Service pack installation cannot continue - is missing one or more components of the system which requires service pack."
My computer is a Dell Studio 1737 laptop came with Vista Premium 64 bit OS. Received 3 months ago.
Last week, I got a blue screen while making a rescue disk (I know, it's ironic), computer was slow, so I tried to do the system restore. System Restore does not work (I installed SP2 in fact at the moment, no problem). Looked for the solution, only thing I could find was to re - install OS repair mode (upgrade).
Found some info on VLite (knew, it has not been accepted by MS). Did the repair installation with VLite, added updates and drivers, took only some of the great language files. Load and run fine, ran all updates to windows. When I tried to install SP2, I got the "Service pack installation cannot continue - one or more components of the system that requires the service pack are missing. Looking for solutions, concluded the MS 'this may be due to the installation of VLite"only resolution is to re - install with OEM disc.
If that's what I did, re-installed, (repair - upgrade), once again. Load and run fine, ran all updates to windows. When I tried to install SP2 I got the "Service pack installation cannot continue - is missing one or more components of the system which requires service pack"-NEW.
I have:
-tried several times
-uninstalled VLite (of fat)
-Disabled antivirus, Norton 360
-Downloaded the standalone KB948465 - X 64
-guarantees for KB955430 and all updates were installed
-Ran "reset windows update components.
-Re-installed "Windows updater.
-We searched MS forum and Web site for help, can't find anything on the message of"missing components".
-Ran "System tool" KB947821

When I scan for Windows Vista Service Pack update (published 4/2009) comes in,
I redid my computer a few months ago restore to factory settings and restore my files from a backup disk. Everything seemed to work properly. A few weeks ago a full scan found a worm & some virus which I removed. Now, I have a problem with the updates. When I scan for Windows Vista Service Pack update (published 4/2009) arrives. When I click to install it, it is saying it is correctly installed (in 30 seconds) and yet he continues to come when I'm scanning for updates. Should I restore settings again? After looking for info on the forums of windows, I did the System File Checker to check corrupt files. Several corrupted files appear in the details of the SFC. But their fixation is "over my head". Hi, my OS is Windows Vista Home Edition 32 bit Service Pack 2 - installed on XP by the owner without first unintalling XP. Although my Device Manager lists the mini-map Dell Wireless WLAN 1395 as working properly, what Windows says that it has stopped working correctly because the driver installed is not compatible with my current operating system (just one of the many questions). Although I can get online wireless most of the time, IE and Google Chrome often freeze and there are a few minutes, I got a blue screen - not for the first time - that shut down Windows. I note the other error message information that a fatal error has occurred that required Windows stops, so am not sure that the two problems are related or not. I tried to find a compatible driver for what I assume is a WLAN Mini card for the original XP OS on the compatibility of Vista site, but there is no driver is listed for the Dell Wireless WLAN mini-map 1395.
I have the Vista installation CD, but not the verification code necessary to reinstall. It will appear somewhere on this computer under the program or the ancillary system (information) available to administrators?
Just out of curiosity, there is a feature of rectangular white USB printed with the name "Biogear" attached to one of my ports, although he is not listed among devices on my computer since the computer laptop original owner died and I can not ask what is its purpose or what program it was meant to facilitate. I tried to remove it and it came out (the envelope detached the part inserted into the USB port) without affecting my ability to access the Internet wireless. If the original owner installed Vista on XP, you need to reformat and do a fresh install of Vista or you will continually have problems multipling. If the original owner is an update from XP to Vista it is OK. However, the problems that you're seen suggest the original owner installed Vista on XP. Verification code (if found on the computer) will not be for Vista but for XP. As long as your operating system is installed, you can retrieve the key with Free Key finder software, do a search and you will find them on the internet. Also if you have the CD and ask for a new key to Microsoft you will get it at a very low price, I don't know no current tax, was $ $10,00. Since you are not the original owner (and the first owner died) both of these options may not be totally legal, unless you can provide proof of purchase or the person deseased was a member of the family.

What is the proper sequence of steps to get Windows 7 SP1, updates, MS Office, 3rd the party games (ex: WoW, SC-2, Diablo 3, steam), McAfee A / V, etc., installed clean so that my PC run smooth? I have the original driver/utility DVD that come with motherboards and I have the updated drivers downloaded from the Asus site. Each drive has 2 partitions. Partition-1, drive C is for Win 7 OS, and it is marked as active/bootable. Partition-2, drive D is where the updated motherboard drivers. Both partitions are formatted with NTFS file systems.

We have progress! Found 112 updates and I started the download. Thanks to André and J.W. Stuart. It took like 5 to 7 hours to produce a list of the updates after you install the update rollup. Either way, I found the following article, shortly before I met the answers here:

After reading the article and the responses, I thought the rollup was the right path to take and ran with it. I installed the battery update before the update rollup. No errors were encountered during the installation of these two elements.
Finally...
1 - Microsoft needs to get their Tech chat based personal support off this dry and outdated script they use. They need to know about the method of rollup. However, the tech. I met in a chat session before coming here, was quite distraught and kept asking to do a remote desktop session, even if I refused 3 times. A tech polished, very persistent but distraught. The chat session was not my home PC on a PC at work.

3. he does really not take 5 + hours to produce a list of the necessary updates. The Windows Update client should really be changed to show some real status beyond this silly green bar. I think it is that a Client of Windows Update request is sent to Microsoft, and this request is pending. The queue is probably priority based with Windows 10 get a higher priority on Windows 7 (Microsoft bias?). Even if my theory of priority queue is correct, turn around time on the application is properly synchronized in a world of Gigabit Ethernet, 5 G WI - FI and cheap access broadband I have-net.
4 10/Windows... too many questions/gripes to speak, but I leave it on the table. Win 8/10 looks blocky with less of its border, for windows/AC tablets. This isn't a modern user interface. The user interface is dumbed-down and is reminiscent of Windows 3.11, or as it is a cobbled together collection of JavaScript in the browser user interface. The menu start alone is a huge waste of time resources CPU and memory. Windows 7 semi-translucides borders please. No cost and no hassle.

In the last 2 weeks, I realized that I was getting emails on my desktop and not on my "BOLD".
Emails usually come in the long (1-3 minutes) before on my "BOLD" when they appear on my desktop.
I solved the problem of "return service packs" of my camera. After that, the e-mails come and everything goes well for a week or so... i have done that now 3 times.
Is this a common problem and something that I have to get used or malfunction any?
