• No chance to collaboration between Verizon and GPS?

  It would seem that the stories about what will come of this problem are everywhere, "be it resolved in 1.4.1.1," (who never became reality) "it will be never fixed and Verizon is to get rid of Palm".  So my question is, should we just start watching the droids for GPS or anything is really going to be done about it?  Y at - it something end of Palm that can be done at all?

  The responses that I receive on the Palm anti-capitalist site on the 'left' or 'right' is just a lot of people think this issue is not important and we should just deal with giving a lower quality phone so that we sold.  Honestly, if that's your attitude, I'll probably have to leave Palm after ten years of dedication.  I was very happy to have the Pre with GPS having satisfied the Windows Treo 750.  This is such a better phone, but new I was looking for may not work properly on Verizon.

  I'm not interested in the workarounds and hacks.  I want to know what Palm/Verizon plans to do.

  Verizon management reminded me today and patched me thanks Ben.  Ben was a brilliant man, who had a brain and does not simply repeat the same old shit.  It would seem, the GPS works do not is known by Verizon and they have authorized their network as causing a problem.  At this time, it is considered to be a software problem and sent to the manufacturer.  He was officially released at Palm on 24 April.  Today has been a month since Palm was handed the issue to address of Verizon.  Now if Palm, VZ Navigator is the problem (they probably have to prove all their stuff works without messing with VZ Nav), and NIM is going to have some problems with Palm and Verizon.  I hope that it is something of the way the Palm software is and we could have something sooner than later.

  The official solution is the VZ NAV 'kickstart '.  I was told that more than one person with knowledge of this problem, which now runs on the bowels of Verizon.  No purchase is required to do this, just launch VZ Nav and let him do everything in the background and does not respond.  While it is not acceptable, nor does he let it run (it will expire with my experience).  It is also not released anywhere via a public document that this is "official", nor did Verizon public acceptance documented this issue, but for some reason, I trust Ben.

  It was a pleasant conversation.  We went through some of the claims forum and messages on the central site (not Palm) are right on the wall.  Verizon is on the issue and has been for at least a month.  The ball is in the Court of Palm right now, but I don't think that that is, frankly, where is the problem.

  At this stage it is still person to blame.  In fact, in the agreement that Verizon has with the FCC for the 4G network to come, they can't block access to what in the same direction (so the big brother has full to you if you wanted to or not, but that's for another post).  So it would be quite difficult to prove an intention it.  Palm has no reason to be in that boat either.  Has anyone heard of NIM on this subject, yet?

• Verizon and blackBerry Passport

  If I want to buy a passport, but have and want to stay with Verizon, I just buy the passport and see if it is compatible with Verizon, then return it if it is not compatible?

  Well, the difference is that Tmobile and ATT have GSM networks where they use SIM cards. While Verizon and Sprint use CDMA and do not use SIM cards.

  So everyone with Tmobile can use an ATT phone and Vice versa if its open. Or one can use Verizon with Sprint or vice versa, if its open.

  When the iPhone 4S was outside, I bought version Verizon do not know the difference in trying to use Tmobile.

  However, some phones today (which are the high end as the iphone 5 and upwards, S4 and S5 Galaxy) can go from a GSM and CDMA. I'm just not sure if the passport do you need to know.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Verizon and Colombia

  It is perhaps a stupid question made up, but...

  I use Verizon and I don't want to switch to another provider.  I spend half my time in Colombia, South America.  The work of the torch on the Verizon system AND the Colombian service, Comcell cells?  Can I switch between the 2 as simply as a switching SIM card?

  Torch is not compatible CDMA using Verrizon. It is GSM only (uses SIM card)

• Download the signature using the API and pre fill the signature

  I use echosign api to display forms to get the candidate (which comes on our site). We show the form of widget. We use more than 40 forms. It is difficult for candidates to sign all forms. Is there anyway I can get the signature of the candidate and pre fill out the signature using the API?

  If not, is there another way to do this?

  By default, it is always required by the signatories to give their signature any document esigning. Even with the API, it is not possible. If it is a single widget with several fields of signature, once the signer signs a first field, and then when he clicks on the second field of signature, the signature is automatically populated in it.

• Had a project done with first elements 11.  All media files and PRE files were in the same folder on an external hard drive.  Received a new computer, loaded first items 11 (which of course doesn't recognize not all previous projects as it is)

  Had a project done using first items 11 (the file exported and posted on youtube).  All the media files and PRE files associated with this project were located in the same folder on an external hard drive.  Got a new computer, responsible for first 11 elements (which of course doesn't recognize not all previous projects because it is a new installation) and now cannot open the original project to make some adjustments (connected to the external hard drive of course)...  Even tried to open the last saved auto program as well, no luck.  Just get a shell of the original project, but no real media file is passed in. Then get a prompt asking you where the file "rendering-3090026..." (20 More digits) is located.  Looking for C drive and external hard drive without success. Help!

  Which operating systems are involved - old and new?

  The external drive has the same drive letter on the new computer as it did when it was used on the other computer?

  Where are the video preview and the old led, Audio preview files compared to new? See Edit Menu/preferences/Scratch discs?

  Are all the place where is the file... messages just to render files? If all are for rendering files, what happens if you click ignore for their

  messages? Can you enter into the project and render it again if necessary and proceed with the project?

  Please see the bulletin. With the above information, we will decide which way to go? It seems that a media disconnect situation has developed in

• Use of Verizon and MMS data connect? Help!

  It is more than one type "what should I discuss with my service provider" of the thing more than any other issue. For the moment, my service, Verizon, had ceased any use of data in my phone. Mainly, I wanted to just internet disabled, because I really don't use it on my phone. This was done because when we signed up for this at best buy, instead of 500 texts for $10, they made the internet contract and when the Bill came that month, that it was not planned, so we cancelled internet and data incoming/outcoming. Now, I'm trying to see where MMS comes into play here. I usually get a couple FWDs or friends photos try to send and I can't because of the use of the data, I think it was part of the plan to send SMS that more would be free among users of Verizon.

  So my question is, how could I go talk to Verizon to do what I want my phone to do... be able to see the pictures, clips, audio, small, FWDs without active internet. I want just the txt and MMS through which I guess doesn't come because of the use of the data. Can anyone clear this up for me or what I should do? I would appreciate an answer, because I am so in ignorance of this whole process.

  MMS uses the internet connection. So you can talk to Verizon and see what they can do, but I think that you need a data plan on the device. The best talk to them. And see if you can find someone more high where they can customize accounts for customers.

  What do you mean you can't find how to create a job? Go in the Administration tab, on your right, you will find a link called jobs. Click above and go forward.

• I accidentally entered my password in the field 'user ID' a website connection, and pre-populating it now appear in the list of suggestions for that field. Is there a way to make the pre-fill 'forget' a specific entry?

  While connecting to a secure Web site, I was typing too fast and accidentally included my password in the field ID used while connection and press enter before I realized my mistake. I then connected properly, but now Firefox include this false entry (with another entry accidentally misspelled) in the list of suggestions of pre-filling every time I go to this page. I prefer not to cut completely from pre-filling, but obviously I don't want my password to be specified. Can I delete the wrong entry in the list of suggestions as pre-filling watch somehow? (I use Firefox 6.0 on Windows 7)

  Select the entry in the drop-down menu and press "DELETE", Mac users, press 'Shift + Delete '.

• Network of Verizon and Avast problem boot

  I have a COmpaq Presario, SP3, AOL as ISP, Verizon Wireless Router.  Recently, a technician uninstalled my AVG and avast.  After a cold start the Avast symbol rises, turns and then network icon comes up with an 'x' in it, and made my aol.  After a few minutes, he let go, and then I can sign.  But if there is an update Avast upboot upward, the network icon remains frozen and can't get on except if I reboot the router or repair the router.  Don't know what could happen.  Have you contacted Avast, not really to help them.  Thanks for any help.

• I had verizon for e-mail service. I now use yahoo. However, when I try to send an attachment by default to verizon (and verizon will not allow it to be sent)

  When I try to send an attachment, my computer by default from verizon. I want to send through yahoo. is there a way to make the tour of verizon, in addition to creating a gmail account just for attachments? It's very frustrating and I'm trying to teach my husband email, & it is too complicated for him to understand other aid of server (gmail) email... Thanks... • Visual Voicemail for blackBerry Smartphones Verizon and Priv

  Tried to put in place of Verizon, visual voicemail on priv. Verizon said it is a problem of Blackberry and Visual Voicemail does not work on priv. Is this true? Has anyone on Verizon visual voicemail on Priv?

  I called Verizon today. They said THAT VVM is an option on the Q10, Z10 and Z30 but not the private. too bad, I think it is very convenient especially when I'm in meetings.

  had both, but verizon has been more expensive in terms of the tariff formula.  I also have a better sprint than verizon company discount.  Get a set much more with more cheaper sprint - as sprint example allows a navigation, email, internet, tv, unlimited SMS with a 450 voice plan minutes most nights start at 19:00 for 69.99 while verizon gives you email, internet, unlimited SMS and more a package of 450 votes for 99.99 and nights after 21:00.  Sprint lag a bit slower than verizon in terms of speed of the internet and of online applications, but barely noticeable.  I got all the companies and verizon internet is the fastest and the sprint just behind.  at & t and t-mobile are not so great.  the only thing is that sprint towers exist not everywhere like verizon.  I live in the NYC area and cover is great.  other places may have horrible service according to how far you are from these towers or antennas.

  I use an Intel I3-540 with the onboard video and 4 GB of memory. I am running Windows 7 (64-bit).

  While everything works fine, I was wondering if a video card would improve performance edition?

  If so can you recommend a Nvidia or ATI card?

  Can somone also provide a link or information on how and when the 8 PRE uses a video processor against the cpu?

  While a good video card can give you access to some of the effects more upscale, you cannot use otherwise - most of the time a video card has little effect on how quickly or efficiently the program accomplishes. In fact, it won't change the speed or the effectiveness of the program at all.

  The real factors are your processor speed, the amount of RAM you have, what type of camcorder, your video is coming from and how often you return your timeline while you work.

• CS5 Capture problem with SONY HVR - M15U FW800 and pre-roll

  Well, so I'm running with first CS5 on a MacPro4, 1 (2.26 GHz 8 Core Intel) with the GTX 285 card. I'm saving my money for the AJA cards, but so far, I use my trusty bridge MVR-M15U of SONY HDV via FireWire 800. It has served me well in Final Cut for the last two years, but with the first, it is as if he cannot capture anything.

  The problem is that, while the bridge is put in position for the pre-roll advertising, it's like he can not figure out how to slow down the advancement of the image and he tries constantly to make fast forward position and at the point where the band stops, he drove past that 10, 15 or even 20 second pre-roll position. So when he tries to save, he pulls back even further and it goes back like a tennis ball until it gives up.

  With Final Cut I tested it and it works fine on a framework of pre-roll 10, 15 and 20 second, so I'm capture with Final Cut and editing in first, but it would be nice to capture both in the first. :-)

  It's the same thing on DV or HDV footage so far only on miniDV cassettes as I have no DVCAM cassettes to test with.

  Any ideas?

  The problem is that all tape based cameras and bridges ONLY use FW400. There are no cameras or decks with FW800 anywhere in this galaxy, or nearby.
