• Sequence of file version conflicts - TS_EngineNewExecution

  I have programmed a stand-alone application, which can execute sequence files. The CVI application is programmed with CVI 7.0 and Teststand API 4.0. You can select a movie file and run the application without the SequenceFileEditor...

  My movie file is programmed under Teststand 4.1 and uses the sequence file library functions, which are developed with Teststand (stored in files of different sequence) 4.0.

  I can run the file in sequence Teststand 4.1 (SequenceFileEditor) without any error message. My own application cannot run the file in the sequence. The TS_EngineNewExecution function returned with an error message:

  I can re - register the sequence to avoid this message. My own application can run the file in sequence after re-record. The library is now saved to the Teststand 4.1 format. But it is not my interest.

  Are - that you standalone application using the controls of the Application Manager UI? If this is not the case, your application should call TS_EngineLoadTypePaletteFilesEx() after you create the engine. The Application Manager does for you, but if you do not control of the Application Manager then you have to do it explicitly. If the type palette files are not loaded, you will get what version of types were last record for the movie file and not the version shipped with the version of TestStand you use. I suspect this is the problem that you see based on the error message you are getting.

• Dreamweaver CS6 version conflict

  I got creative cloud since it came out and love it. However, Dreamweaver CS6 in the following Creative cloud has no support for Coursebuilder exit to SCORM 1.2 and the apparent manufacturer, etc. So, I had to buy e-Learning Suite which includes CS6 Dreamweaver with Coursebuilder, etc.. However, after you downloaded and installed, there was a conflict between the two apparently. I was told to uninstall the creative cloud s/w, then run a patch for the Application Manager and re-download all the s/w. I did it. Now I am unable to start the Creative Cloud Dreamweaver version to turn it off because I was told to do. I get an error message and it refuses to start. At the moment I'm downloading a version track on Adobe.com. I see two problems here... it's most likely a problem of Adobe service between suites and it affects customers who need to make e-learning. I paid a great price just buying the extensions that I have to publish on SCORM. Now I have spent days trying to get the s/w to run even. I don't need duplicates of Flash, Photoshop etc I have as a result of Cloud and certainly no need of the Captivate unfinished and buggy. All the products I need are in the rest of the cloud, EXCEPT that I can't publish on SCORM. Does anyone know how to solve this conflict. The only thing I see is to run a second machine.

• Updated restoration 3.6.24 then 8.0 then system which causes version conflicts.

  I updated t0 3.6.24 and created a restore point. Updated to 8.0 and had problems with the add-on and couldn't fix so I restore before updating to 8.0 and suppose I would to 3.6.24. Always had problems to Add on so I restored to the previous day. If I check troubleshooting on the help tab. It says version 3.6.23. When I go to it says 3.6.24. How to find out the correct version. I want to go back to 3.6.23 because 3.6.24 screwed to the top of my modules and 8.0 screwed to the top of my old PC. I am running WinXP SP2 with 4G memory and 3.8Mhtz.

  Your current application has a code upgrade 12000000, not 12. Put 12000001 in the code upgrade, rebuild the app and it will download very well.

  I got an error saying Hudson needs Ant 1.7 and WebLogic loaded Ant 1.6.5 so I put prefer-web-inf-classes to true in weblogic.xml

  When I solved this problem on one of our machines, I uninstalled the package dependencies of parameters of Lenovo and the App Metro of Lenovo's, rebooted and two of them installed directly from the driver Matrix page. In addition, I ran the update of the system to enter everything I missed. Not sure if you have tried this method, but it can be useful a go.

  First, you must install the driver. I guess that you don't have the installation disc. You need to download a folder of your choice or to where you can find it, it may come as an exe file or a zip file. Install the driver and restarts. • Distribution of LVOOP/FPGA-based application on several possible projects?

  SITUATION: I develop a large enough project that relies heavily on LVOOP: I encapsulated material-interaction and functionality in the classes of LV that are loaded at run time. I have different types of plug-ins that are interacting with each other in the first level VI. These types of plug-ins are made in more generic classes defining their interfaces that are used by the top-level VI. Plug-ins actual instantiated at runtime classes are child-classes of matching the more generic classes (dynamic distribution).

  PROBLEM: The Labview project file is now big enough and takes forever to load/save. Also, I regularly get crashes or other very odd behavior of Labview himself. For example, Labview stalls when loading the project file, except when it is loaded through the list 'recentlly open project' in the start menu in Labview.

  POSSIBLE SOLUTION: I would like to make an individual Labview project file for each plugin real. This would have the additional advantage that they could be indivually developed by different developers without cause version conflicts.

  The PROBLEM WITH THIS SOLUTION: First tests show that it would work in effect plug-ins that do not target FPGA use. However, many of my plug-ins use the FPGA screws, which are still features some plug-ins (i.e., some plug-ins can use an FPGA VI, while others use it an another VI FPGA: a single FPGA VI will run both, however). For this reason, I would like to put these FPGA VIs in Labview for the plug-in project only, but not in the top-level Labview project. Because otherwise, I would have to update the project level higher every time that someone has written/edited a plug-in that uses an FPGA VI.

  Unfortunately, Labview generates an error when executing in the first level VI a method of a class of plug-in that uses an FPGA VI: "1498 error in Get LV class by default Value.vi. Possible reasons: LabVIEW: library has errors. Correct the errors before performing this operation. "Complete the call chain: get LV class default Value.vi top_level_vi.vi.

  In fact, it not even help to add to the project LV level the target FPGA including the FPGA VI which will be called: the error message remains the same.

  QUESTIONS RELATING TO THE:

  I discovered that you can access an FPGA VI without adding all resources FPGA (for example the FIFOs, i/o etc.) for the respective project by obtaining the FPGA VI reference via bitfile VI (unlike obtaining by the path of the VI). Exactly what I needed. I now have a project containing the FPGA resources and live FPGA. And in all the other projects that I can make use of the FPGA screws without adding resources FPGA, just by opening the bitfile FPGA VI related references.

  The idea of encapsulating the FPGA VI in own LabVIEW class is also very useful. In combination with obtaining the FPGA VI reference via the bitfile it allows me to charge flexibly different screw FPGA running (according to the settings in the configuration files), again without having to add any combination of FPGA resources to the project.
