  I'm not sure you'll find too much documentation on the exact details.
  If you go to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/bi/hyperion-supported-platforms.html
  It should give you an idea of the minimum specifications for each version.

• Migration of older Version of Hyperion 4 to Hyperion 9.3.1

  Hi all

  One could you please provide the promotional path for the 4 Hyperion 9.3.1 migration planning.

  I mentioned some of the read me docs and understood the path below. Am I missing or please suggest.

  These are very old versions, don't know why you want to only go to 9.3.1 as which has long since disappeared.

  In any case, it's the path correct supprted, if required, it may be possible to spend 4 to 9.3.1 by upgrading the application.

• How to install the last Version of Hyperion

  Dear all,

  IAM facing problem to install Oracle Hyperion 11.1.2.3.0

  I downloaded under files.

  (1) hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Foundation Services

  (2) all specific product at the bottom of the source files.

  after unzip all files, still, I am not able to sees installtool.exe file.

  Please suggest what part is missing here to be downloaded.

  Is the host name (of the system where oracle is installed) is Oracle ?

  If all the components, including the database are on the same system, try with localhost.

  If oracle db is on the remote host, first check if its power of ping by command prompt > oracle ping

  Also, make sure your environment with static IP addresses.

• Mobile version Hyperion Planning - list empty reports

  Hi, Experts!

  I have test the mobile version of Hyperion Planning (11.1.2.3.500). I ' v has everything, but not reports,

  I tried different ways: accorder grant permissions in Expolrer, copy reports to users, log in as administrator.

  but the list of reports is always empty!

  There is no "no Reports" tab as 'Tablet access'... He has only lists of tasks, forms and approvals.

  Any body explain what can I do to get access in mobile planning reports?

  launch of dynamic reports in FUSE/Tablet UI is not supported in 11.1.2.3.500. Only a snapshot of report/book can be launched from the FUSE mode.

  You will need to provide what version of Hyperion (and Smart View) you are on for people to answer this question precisely as each version is different.

• Configuration of Hyperion Planning-

  Installation on my laptop via VMware.  Following procedures by J. Turrell. Everything is fine until I'm planning configuration.  When I try to configure the SS database, I get the following message: "EMPCFG-10368: unable to connect to the database."  Check the database connection information'.

  Database is SQL Server 2008

  Couple quick questions to start:

  Version of Hyperion Planning? What OS are you installing on? The box can speak for itself (Microsoft Loopback adapter, input tables ip if some flavors of Linux). Is there a firewall in the way? Is the database that is top and listen?

  Since it's SQL Server - you have enabled TCP/IP?

  Some other positions:

  E.M.P. 11.1.2.2 Config Error - EPMCFG-10368: unable to connect to the database.

  I searched - but cannot find - all the information about what Oracle will do with Hyperion Web Analysis Studio and I was wondering if anyone in this forum knew it is planned to strengthen still Hyperion Web analysis Studio... or not.

  Alternatively, expected, publicly announced to gradually stop supporting\enhancing Studio Web Analytics in the future near\far?

  Cause
  
  The effdate.dat file is missing in Hyperion/BIPlus/data/ES1_hostname
  
  This message is displayed many times in the logs: "com.sqribe.transformer.PublishLogEffectiveDateStorage.getEffectiveDate: Error while reading "/Hyperion/BIPlus/data/ES1_hostname/effdate.dat". null"
  
  Solution
  
  Copy effdate.dat from /Hyperion/BIPlus/data/RM1_hostname to /Hyperion/BIPlus/data/ES1_hostname and restart System 9.

  I heard that the next version of hyperion planning (11.1.2.3) will introduce exciting new features among them: the ability to load data and metadata through a new user interface.
  
  I know that it is also possible to load data using the Essbase administration console, but there are certain rules to follow in the example of the use of special formatting for members that contain numbers, special characters of dashes, all these members should be put 'A - 100.

  Chrome is not supported at this time in any version of Hyperion (via 11.1.2.2).

  Firefox 3.5 and above all is documented to be supported. Some time that I actually tried to use Firefox with the following - in previous versions there are some quirks with certain products and/or pages.

  The best way to prove how it works to test. If you do not have a 11.1.2.1 environment you could launch an Amazon with FRIEND image are available (see my blog).

  There isn't any direct way to integrate HPS. You must use Scorecard Import / Export utility.
