Versions Linux support Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g

Hi all

I want to just a list of Versions and flavors of Linux that supports Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g.

Thank you
Josiane

Use the certification tab in support.oracle.com. Select the product and release (IE. Database Oracle, 11.2.0.3.0) you want to check, let 'all' selected under the platform, and then click search. The results will be grouped for you. If you expand the Group of operating systems, you will get a list of distributions/versions for each supported operating system. I hope it's clear enough for you.

    Hello

Suppose there is an application of part 3, which will generate Oracle queries with notes. I will not be able to access the code. Is there a way to disable query indicators in the Oracle database?

    Thank you!

Be sure to test your application. Hidden settings should not be used in production without validation of Oracle support.

  • Forms 10g / 11g in Servlet mode vs. shooting mode.

    Hello

We are trying to push to the top of oracle forms 10g / 11g performance due to network latency problem. I read that we can also run Oracle Forms 11 g / 10g in the current shooting mode which uses 40% less bandwidth, but it comes together with EBS R12. ( http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2009/06/which_is_better_forms_servlet_or_socket_mode.html )

I want to know that can we run that Oracle Forms 11 g / 10 g in socket mode. In the affirmative. Please provide the configuration forms11g / 10g in socket mode.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Noman

Be careful here - performance problems may be the result of many issues - provides a little less network in terms of physical bytes (bytes can be physical?), but which does not always improve performance. You also have other potential problems, for example, if you have any firewall or proxy on your network.

Bottom line is that for customers not apps you are not supported to run in shooting mode - and even once, even if you were, he could not help you.

  • Browsers supported oracle developer last version?

    Hello

Please provide me a link for the browsers supported oracle developer last version.

    I searched in vain.

is there a restriction for browsers such as 10g and IE 6 or netscape?

or I can run it on any browser?

-I want to use the latest version, but I don't know if there are some people here can support me with tasks or problems with it,

because I don't know if there are many people who use it or not?

    Thank you

Yes, there are, I think you have not simply to look properly.

If you open the spreadsheet of certification that I pointed you to:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/es/middleware/docs/Oracle-Forms-111220certmatrix-2087910.xls?ssSourceSiteId=otnen

and then go to the tab called 'Client', you will find information about the supported browsers.

The view is a table of the components in the part.  And the fact synonym refers to the view.

    Hi Charlie
    Take a look at

After the upgrade the management of identities of 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.4.2 INTERNET_APPSERVER_REGISTRY. SCHEMA_VERSIONS is invalid (Doc ID 557591.1)

You have improved your IDM to 10.1.4.3 so (although the title speaks about 10.1.4.2 (I think that the problem addressed in the document of support applies to your situation. In short, the invalid view can be ignored - and goes the same for the synonym... IAS_VERSIONS... I think it is a synonym for the view - and therefore is too marked as invalid.

  • Question about the ADF Version supported Oracle database

    Hello

One of my client's situation trigger this thread, they have a few Oracle 9.2.0.6 inherited instance, which turns out to be that a version of database not supported for JDeveloper/ADF 12.1.3, in this case, supports an earlier version of the ADF is the only choice without upgrading of database to 11.x for them?

And I'm also interested to know why JDeveloper/ADF confined its support to some version of database Oracle, thank you

    -Liang Yi

    Hello

If I'm not wrong then the Oracle 9i database is out of support since juil.-2007. JDeveloper and ADF certifies and supports the unsupported database versions or operating systems. So I hope that answers the "why". The real solution is to upgrade the database, because that's the reason that will block you for what your client is to move forward.

OpenSuse is not certified with 11 GR 2. even as Centos, Ubuntu, Fedora...
According to the literature, SLES is supported and certified.

    Well said Aman.

    @OP,
We can not campare database to another database which is just useless.
If you really want to know about the product, then 'Buy' and 'start' using this product, so you can understand what is the pro and cons of each product.

In short, if you want to know then software Oracle is on top on the market for the database.

    Thank you

  • Linux and oracle database installation best practices windows

can anyone recommend the guide of best practices for the installation/design of windows/Linux oracle database servers.

Microsoft, sql Server, provide a number of useful resources on the evolution of the default parameters that can die of hunger the operating system of resources, where to and where not to store the data in files/logs etc etc, but I've yet to find a similar guide for Oracle. Research on best practices during the installation/initial design in order to avoid the risk of recovery/redundancy later on any line, reliability, availability, performance. Guidance most welcome.

    (1) there is no certification for Forms 10 g exam.

    (2) in order to learn 10 g makes Oracle University courses (or self-study CDROMs) is probably recommended, however some may be able to study by the Documentation provided by Oracle:

I suspect that what you have found your information, is that the institutions of the WDP are now doing their training sessions for the formulas rather than form 9i 10g... However these versions have a high degree of similarity and the same certification exam is taken at the end.

    /////
Going a little off topic... but try to explain why your formulation is making me tear my hair out...
    ....
Please be aware that "I did my cert" is NOT the same "I got a certificate of Oracle" (Please note certificate not review pass report).
... And that a review going on in the "review of the history of Certview does not mean certification... but made a Certification in"Certification history".
(For example in Certview I have an exam pass (23 December 08 1Z0-402 Enterprise Linux Fundamentals) in the history of the exam... but my history of certifcation shows not Oracle Enterprise Linux application specialist ... so I have not an Oracle Enterprise Linux implementation specialist certification until it arrives or happens in the post).
    ....
The reason why I watch for these words, it's that sometimes posters on this forum have used formulations such as yours to represent themselves as certified when they are not (either because they did not have a verified oracle education courses (and develeoper certifications do not need these so far) ran out of requirement for review (or used oracle several trials of Id)). They take they Word very unauthorative my (bigdelboy) say (Oracle...). An extreme example is someone who passes 1z-043 and calls themselves an Oracle OCP.

  • Laptop supporting Oracle 10 g on RHEL 4 Update 2

    Hello

I am struggling to find a laptop supporting Oracle 10 g on RHEL4 update 2. If the HCL Redhat shows some laptops... those are all outdated.
Now I find phones supporting the workstation RHEL 5 version. Is Oracle 10 g, taken in charge by this version of office? Kindly help me to find a laptop for personal use.

I'll even though it is Dual boot with Windows Vista / XP but who also want to if ensure that he takes in charge the OS as well. Please help me find such a laptop computer!

[PS: the search for an alternative other than VMWARE Windows]

I have a Dell Latitude D830 running Oracle Enterprise Linux 4.5 and 5.2 very well. OEL is equivalent to Red Hat Advanced Server in the same version number, so I don't expect a problem.

Since I also run several different fedoras, OpenSuSEs and Ubuntu on this machine, I suspect that the D830 also workstation Red Hat.
