  Both Oracle 10 g 2 and 11g RAC are supported for RedHat Enterprise 5 on versions 32 and 64 bit. It's really some information that should be available outside metalink (for people like you who are not yet customers).

An update does not break backward compatibility with the same version and introduced fixed bugs, security patches, and may introduce additional features. It is possible that a product requires a minimum version and the version of publication of update, however, if a product is certified for Oracle Linux or RHEL 7.0, there is also picked up and certified on updates later release. Of course, this does not apply to upgrades of major version, such as 6.x or 7.x, for which there is no upgrade path taken in charge anyway.

  Usually the CPU upgrade not is not supported by Toshiba... but if you use the CPU of the same family of CPU (i5 - 520 M, i5 - 540 M), then you should have a good chance that the laptop would be compatible with this CPU... but I would not recommend these updates.

  If it has an optical drive it can support a caddy to drive hard drive and you can put any 2.5 inch SATA SSD in there. However, it will not be bootable and the interface is slower than the main SATA interface, so it is really a waste of money to put a SSD in there. You already have an SSD or are you thinking that as a way to make your laptop run on an SSD?

  It will not work to give your laptop the speed of an SSD market. It can only be a storage drive I'd actually recommend getting a big HDD slow to put in there like a 2 TB 5400 RPM. You can run the videos and music from him but it is not good for stuff like editing which has fast speed of output video.

  Yes, there are two versions of the Board of Directors. We're with nVidia GF 630 M and the other with 650M. The 650 M using memory DDR5 but only DDR3 of 630 m there is dfferent to dual core and quad processor boards but the chipset remains the same.

  Use the certification tab in support.oracle.com. Select the product and release (IE. Database Oracle, 11.2.0.3.0) you want to check, let 'all' selected under the platform, and then click search. The results will be grouped for you. If you expand the Group of operating systems, you will get a list of distributions/versions for each supported operating system.   TAF so nothing to do with the underlying and is storage architecture 'argued' with your choice of asm, raw devices, cluster file system and NFS. NFS is supported on some platforms. For more details, check the tab certifies in metalink. Some information can be found here

  TAF will be available on any rac installation, but not all drivers support it (thin jdbc for example)
