Vertical lines on the Photos using HP Photosmart Plus

I just bought the HP Photosmart Plus last week.  The 1st photos I printed, using the paper supplied with the printer (HP Advanced), went well.  My wife bought "Printworks' 4 x 6 sheets of brand.  First of all, I had a paper jam.  I don't know if it's relevant.   The photos I printed had 12 visible vertical lines.  He seemed separate from 12 vertical strips sewn together.  So, I went out and my HP Premium Plus paper.  It still looks like 12 vertical strips.  There are noticeable verical about 1/2 in. lines.  I also think it seems grainy.  The photo was taken with a Nikon 10Mpixel, so resolution is not a problem.  I printed out as some other pictures and they had the same problem.  I was careful about settings, choose the premium more paper and choosing the best quality.  I also cleaned the print heads.   Any ideas?

I finally had time to shoot the print head and cleaning it.  This seems to have solved the problem.

I understand the frustration that this must be for you. Looks like there are two separate issues. When the printer clean print heads and not properly align itself, this indicates that there is a problem with the cartridge, the print head or the line break. For vertical lines, it is usually independent for cartridges and print heads (not being is not a print quality problem). The paper type and print settings might be the problem.

  • I'm getting a vertical line in the middle of the page when I use the ADF on my Officejet Pro 8500 a but

    HP Officejet Pro 8500

    Windows XP

    No error message

    No changes to the system

Scan using the ADF puts a vertical line in the middle of the scanned page.  This does not happen when I scan from the flat screen

Brian, this is going to be a pretty easy fix. What you're going to need to get is a lint cloth (as a microfibre cloth or a filter coffee) and get just a wet touch. Then, open the top of your printer to reveal the glass. There are two sections, one large, and that is a thin strip of glass on the left side. If the line makes its appearance in the ADF scans/copies only - clean this thin section with a moist, lint cloth.

    This should help you!

  • Qosmio G10 has vertical lines on the screen

I have a G10 which I use for the last 15 months since I bought it.
However, there are now 4 vertical lines on the screen, 2 Purple (magenta?), 1 yellow and 1 cyan. Other than these lines there are no other problems, it never fell down or something like that.

The lines are still there, they do not change in any way and are always in the same place. They appear on the screen at first power up, before the Qosmio logo lights up.

They have not all appear at the same time, they all appeared individually in the past two months. I've seen the last of them disappear briefly, then stay on.

I guess that my screen is dying slowly, I guess to be an expensive item.

Any advice thrown my way would be greatly appreciated!

I took a picture of the screen you will find at:

    http://www.imagebucket.NET/images/lldata/displaylines.jpg

Note: the photo was taken with Media Player full screen on a black image, just to clearly show the lines)

    Hello

I suggest you connect an external display to check if it's a graphics card or a display problem. If cela pipes appears also on the external screen then it could also be a problem with the graphics card.
If these lines do not appear on the external display while the display of the laptop has a malfunction.
However, this does not change your situation. I recommend you contact the Toshiba ASP to solve this problem.

  • Vertical line in the HP 7510 scan document

I'm a unique vertical dashed line in the analyses using the documents on HP Photosmart 7510 charger. I get a good scan if I place the document on the glass. This is consistent with all pages in the document feeder.

    This can be corrected?

I'm sorry that you have vertical lines on scans.

You can try to clean the roller in the ADF.

You can also clean the glass rectangular small band when it is open to the top of the printer.

Here is a link that can help you with this problem.

  • ProBook 640 G1: Vertical line down the left side of the screen

I have a vertical line on the left side of my screen on my G1 640 Probook - model number is T1C08UT #ABA.

I've seen other similar posts and the suggestion was to plug an external monitor. I did it and the line does not appear when hung outside. Someone at - it any other ideas? I used product Wizard and all my drivers also show to date. It is under warranty, should I just through HP warranty repairs? Thanks in advance.

Yes, thank you. It was under warranty with HP, so they fixed it. It seems they replaced the raw Panel and she came back that all fixed as good as new.

  • Qosmio G15: Green vertical lines on the screen

All started an ordinary day, when I was playing music on my iTunes.
All of a sudden my screen went black and the music stopped, but my power button is always blue. Since then, whenever I try to start it, it goes on the Qosmio screen and Windows XP screen and plays the startup sound, but there all those green vertical lines on the screen. And then it goes black and tsays in this way.

I was able to use Windows VGA (whatever that means) with lines all over the screen, but I am not able to start normally. Does anyone have any suggestions or have had the same problem? Please help me!

  • Satellite M60-104 - vertical lines on the LCD

    Hello guys,.

I have a Toshiba Satellite M60-104 and in recent months, I noticed vertical lines on the LCD screen. How can I solve the problem?

    Any response will be useful,

    thanx

    Hello

First of all, you should check if you have the same problem on an external monitor. So you can check if the problem is the graphics card or screen.

However, I think that the motherboard or display needs to be replaced. To do this, you can go to an authorized service provider.

    Welcome them

  • Tecra S1 - vertical lines on the screen

    Hello people,

IM new to this forum so first all the Hi everybody ;-).

My girlfriend bought a Tecra S1 second hand and after a few vertical lines of the month displayed on the screen. When I asked around the power button pressure lines have disappeared. But after a few minutes, the lines are back. So I thought that it was probably a problem of video and e - bay, I bought a second hand motherboard. I installed it and now after a few months I get vertical lines again. (It also happens on an external monitor).
I opened the laptop and with only the motherboard in front of me I plugged it to a monitor outside, put a little pressure on 1 side of the motherboard and the lines where go! Would that be the case?

I know that on ebay and other sites where they offer second-hand computers laptops MANY people have the same problem.

Did someone had an idea? I hope that I can fix it!

Thanks for your time and sorry for my English.

    Greetz Mark

    Hey Mark,

I doubt that people often have this problem. I put t read often about this problem, as far as I know it s thread the first on this subject.

In any case, I think that it s not unusual. I mean you bought a motherboard of second hand on eBay, so who knows how old she had and often it was used in the book. Second hand spare parts that s another story in my opinion. You're more or less luck with these parts.

I would recommend so buy a new mainboard with a provider of services authorized. It seems that you can change it yourself and so you can save a lot of money. On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of ASP.

    Good luck! :)

  • HP 8740: Vertical lines, while the scanning & photocopies

I bought a new HP8740 about three weeks ago and everything worked well until today.

Now I have black vertical lines down the scan or photocopy.

First of all, I turned off the printer for 30 seconds and put the plug directly into the wall.  It did not work.

I turned off - unplugged for 5 minutes - but still has the black lines.

Can someone please suggest something else I can try.

Hello @gouldian, thank you very much for your answer.

The only difference between the analysis of the dumpster and using the ADF is where scanning occurs. Uses of the ADF Strip glass (1 "wide) toward the left side of the pane of glass for analysis. Cleaning if ideally white scanner ADF lid and glass ADF scanner should have solved the problem.

I suggest you to do a blank copy on ADF, keep the page in front of you and carefully clean the place, you get the line in the band scanner & the white plastic strip.

If the issue is always I suggest you to clean the ADF mechanism itself. You can watch a video of HP http://hp.care/2bYt7Qu that will help you to do this. The video is made using the Officejet 8600 printer, but it's the same for your printer as well.

Please let me know what happens. Thank you!

    See you soon

  • Blue vertical line on the screen

    Hello

After a day of use, I have a blue vertical line on the screen. Defective LCD screen? Tried to reapply the latest firmware, but that doesn't change anything. Other things to try before a sent an RMA?

I dunno if Newegg "corresponds to" Amazon product replacement policy is defective products: Amazon will cover the shipping costs for the return (via a pre-paid return label he sends you) but also send a replacement free of charge.  You might want to check with Newegg, if your Clip has been purchased recently.

Apart from Newegg, if you need to take advantage of the SanDisk warranty directly with her, SanDisk (at least in the United States) covers shipping as well as for the replacement that is sent back.

  • Action/Script Photoshop to place the vertical line at the center of the Image

How to create an action (or a script) in Photoshop that creates a vertical line in the center of the page?

Here is an example of what I'm looking for.

    001-002.jpg

First go to view > rulers, then right-click on the rule, and the percent change units.

(so the action registers per cent and will work on different size documents)

Then drag a vertical guide at the Center, drag one to the top of the image and the other down.

(the goal is so the online tool is aligned with the top and down and you know where is the center of the document)

For action, you can use the online tool and just save lines from the top of the image down along the center guide.

  • CC of 2015 rubber-band layers and vertical lines in the timeline

    Greetings,

Like many others, I feel many troubling issues with AE and first in this CC 2015 was last updated. I have a lot of problems with friction audio, audio response slow keyboard, wacky playback with a loop and being insensitive to the entrance and these preview. All of you who are on the known issues page.

Another question I had is when I make keyframe adjustments or time to layer (by clicking and dragging them forwards or backwards in time on the timeline) they will often leap after releasing the mouse button. I can't get this repeat with regularity, but it happens... every few minutes or sometimes several times in a row. Sometimes when the timeline panel displays a different portion of the timeline, as if I did scroll up with the mouse and then wheel jumps to what I was working on a second later.

I also have a problem with vertical lines in the timeline on playback. In this case most of the time.

    After Effects Timeline Vertical Lines.jpg

    Here are my system specs:

    First Pro CC 2015

Win 7 64 bit (up to date)

    3 TB internal

    12 to RAID 5 via USB 3.0

    USB 2.0 and 3.0 readers

Audio device FireWire (M-AUDIO FireWire1814)... even if I'm not using it for reading. It is connected.

Images is the H.264 files, JPG Stills, solid and no third party traffic.

These issues are scheduled to be fixed in the update for AE which is supposed to come out in less than a week.

  • Flashing of the vertical lines in the tab bar?

There are small vertical lines in the tab bar. They appear after the closing of the tabs. They are flashing, then change places when I place the cursor on any Firefox buttons or bars. And sometimes, they are flashing and the text cursor in the address bar of mirror.

Disable all modules and themes does not affect them.

I'll try to add a screenshot of the problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
