very large image hard

Hi all.

a question about vmware Esxi 4.1

I install vmware with 1 TB HDD and I create a computer virtual windows 2008 server.

all my files on 2008 virtual server are 50 GB

When I try to [copy - backup] this virtual image of windows Server 2008 this copy all the 1 TB file hard but my files are 50 GB.

is a way to leave this virtual disk up to 1 TB , but to back up only the files that are used inside?

Thank you

Welcome to the community

Here are 2 ways to do this

1. use of VDR to save this virtual machine, it will be only backup storage used - VDR is free

2. set your discs to thin provisioned (under license)-, this will make the 50 GB in size, but available from 1 to vmdk

3 backup VM natively through Windows OS

Please allow points to useful/correct answers

  • Georaster: Import very large images with sdo_geor.importFrom

    Hello

What is the best way to import images of very large (> 50 GB) (GeoTIFF, TIFF, etc.) in a table georaster. Actually I don't have the image in a single file, but in raster 1 GB files.

    Approach 1:

Import each image 1 GB with sdo_geor.importFrom block into small tiles (block settings) within the oracle and merge 50 rasters then into a large raster object using SDO_GEOR.mosaic. It is a recommended method?

    Approach 2:

Create the actual tiles of all images with GDAL. Is it possible to import directly the tiles with meta-information into a table of raster data?

Thanks for your suggestions on this matter.

Yes, for Linux, you will need to compile it yourself. I did it without too much trouble on Centos.

But the most straightforward approach is to download and install the latest QGIS for Windows. The grouped GDAL is up-to-date and includes the hooks of the OIC.

  • The large image

    Hi Sir / Madam,.

I need to print a very large image size is 945 x 5906 in resolution 70dpi.

    (1) is there a limitation of Adobe photoshop software?

    (2) what is recommended the image size should I get for printing?

    Hello

Maybe it will be digitally printed on adhesive mylar or similar subtract. A façade of building of this size will be many windows separated with frames, so the printer will have to cut your Art to define segments to apply to each windows.

Me, I'll probably work with a size of rational PS document, such as a ratio > 6.25:1 as a file PS 75 inches X 12 inches with good/high resolution, or almost. (or the opposite if it is a vertical concept)

My workflow as a designer/Creative Director of A to Z, is always from Z (get the final work submitted to my clients), then proceed with Art/Design.

And let the guys rip printer to see how deal with it (and deliver to the customer), is based on architectural and technical of the façade of the building.

  • Rotation are not smooth on large images - no work around?

I found that Premiere Pro does not have large images completely smoothly in some cases. It adds a slight wobble, maybe a somewhere rounding error. It is easily reproduced, if the image is large enough so that the GPU can not handle. (The problem will show up with small files if the GPU is disabled, or it is not present).

I know that a small swing would not be a problem for some projects, but it will appear on a movie screen, so the problem is very obvious. Thanks for any help.

Usually the problem shows with images that are 4000 x 4000 or more. The problem occurs on the scale of large images or smaller images that were converted on the first. The larger image the worst the wobble.

This happens in first Pro CC 2015.4 on Mac, but also 2014 CC.

Here's a video that shows the problem that I saw the first time:

    http://Adobe.LY/2ccktQR

But the problem shows with projects much simpler - what you need to do is turn a large image such as the following, which is 4800 x 6000. My processor graphics NVIDIA Quadro 4000 has 2 GB of memory, and at 1080 p will force the first use of the CPU and show the problem:

    http://Adobe.LY/2bA5kE9

The following video shows the picture above, made first with CPU, second with GPU, then super-imposed near each other to show the difference:

    http://Adobe.LY/2bWlc67

Notice the slight wobble in the stars on the left. (To obtain the version no-do not wobble, I had to scale the image up to 2200 x 2200 source externally first - this is the smallest size that can turn entirely into a window of 1 080 p.)

Has anyone else seen elsewhere, or have ideas for the solution of workaround?

    Thanks in advance.

Try After Effects for it.  Void pixel technology (? whatever his name) may be useful.

Is in all cases to do the test.

  • Was one of my PSD file placed in Indesign export to format PDF is small but the other is very large. WHY?

    Dear all,

I am facing an unknown problem when I export the PDF file from indesign. I check around all the Images, I found that when some of the PSD files has been placed in indesign and exported to PDF format, the file size is very large. Please see the joint (large_size).  But some are normal, please see the joint (small_size). And you can see that the PSD file is no difference in Photoshop. And PDF output setting is the same, please see the other clip.

What is the problem of the PSD file? Why the result is a huge different?

    large_size.png

    small_size.png

    Export PDF setting.png

Really? If I open "S6_edge_gold 2.psd" and in the layers palette, right-click "Layer 1", "Duplicate layer", select New destination and save the new DSP, the DSP news is only 5.8 MB. Placed in an InDesign document and PDF export is no longer made a bloated file.

  • Size very large, even though it is only black and white

    Hello!

I have a small question. I m of the Germany, I hope that you understand what I mean.

Is it normal that the size of the image is very large, even if it's only a black and white image?

I created an image with the 1920 x 1080 for my Web site. I created two variants.

Alternative B is the one that I want to use. I created the A Variation to test, if the size is smaller.

    Here you can see that:

    http://content.screencast.com/users/Heizpad/folders/default/media/16151f15-C38F-47a4-a3ac-73e8793d2773/big%20Size.jpg

Isn´t it's very strange, as the picture on the side left (alternative A) is lower, although it is one that has a lot more detail?

Alternative B is only black and white with the black/white-filter?

Can you give me an answer please, why the size is so important?

    Thank you! Best regards!

    -Max

    Yes, it's what I wanted.

If you want to make the file smaller, try file > save for Web as a jpg file and explore the options.

Be aware of the change in quality that you reduce the size of the file

  • How do I pan through a large image?

Hello! I use first elements 13 on Win 8.1, 8 GB of RAM.

I have a large image (2712 x 896, 96 DPI, jpeg-1.56 MB). I would like to add to my movie (1920 x 1080) and move it into the image. So I would like to than the video to begin to show the left side of the wide image and move slowly in to show the Center, then the right side of the image, more than 15 seconds or more.

So I add the image on my calendar. I checked the image file is right-side-around the top outside Parliament, but by default, it appears rotated 90 degrees to the left forward. If I use the window effects applied to Rotate clockwise by 90 degrees. Then I click the Pan tool and Zoom. This tool shows my new image rotate 90 degrees to the left, so it is facing backwards in the video (see attached screencap). He wants pan to the bottom of the image to the top, and I see no option to rotate the image in the pan/zoom tool. Is it possible to orient my image the correct way for panning?

I tried to set a framework for the development of pan in 'down' of the image (that is, the left side of the image, where I would like to begin the Pan) and a framework for development at the "top" of the image (i.e. the right side of the image). In this case, the preview window displays the image right-side-up top, but it always from a height from top to bottom. So, I see a lot of black (from the "border" well below the image), then the center of the image slides by (properly oriented, but moving up and down) and then I see more black of the border above the image. If PE is very confused about the image. :-)

    Snap5.gif

First, you'll need to rotate the original photo using Photoshop Elements. Don't just apply the Rotate property in Premiere Elements or other settings won't make sense.

You say that you have insured that the photo is correctly oriented outside of Premiere Elements, but simply turning it correctly in the Organizer does NOT change orientation or rotation of the image. You must change the original photo in Photoshop Elements.

Once your original photo is correctly oriented, it's as simple as using keyframes in Motion or the tool panoramic and Zoom pan through it.

  • Make a page very large slide to the left

I have a very large page in my site and I wonder what camera I use so that the page slides to the left. I want that it move gradually rather than in stages, as an anchor tag would do.

Similar to what this homepage did, although this is a slide show. My page contains a series of blocks of text and images.

Is there such a thing in Muse? I forget something obvious?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hey bud,

You can do this by creating a wide page. Increase the width of the page properties page.

After what you have to place your ankles you move to the right on the page and then create objects that point to them for the page transition occurs.

  • Thumbnail images, more large images and text PROBLEM

Unclear title, with a problem difficult.

What I am wanting to do is, when I click on a thumbnail image, I want to have the content of the DIV to display the image and the thumbnail information you just clicked the right to change accordingly. I use Dreamweaver CS5 on MAC:

-J' have a page divided into 2 vertical columns. On the left, I have 6 thumbnails in their individual DIVs, all wrapped together in another DIV container

-on the right side of the page, I assigned a large DIV to display a large image with a description below what the project was etc...

I know that you can attach a behavior to the thumbnail to change the big picture on the right, but I have a short paragraph of the text below the big picture too, and I don't particularly want to make the image and text a huge image. I want to keep the text, text.

How can I do? Is it a simple thing? or y at - there a lot of coding to do this with JQuery, Javascript or something? Is there something to do with the data record sets involved?

Is it possible to do that when you click on the thumbnail it can charge the relevant image and text in the div on the right?

Sorry if it did not clearly explain, do not know how do it, so don't know if I'm describing correctly.

As always, all the help and advice very welcome.

In the right column, you would-

    Legend legend legend

    Legend legend legend

    ...

    The CSS would be-

    {of signs

    display: none;

/ * Add other styles as needed for the caption * /.

    }

The thumbnails would each of the following behaviors:

    * onclick set the desired right column div to "display: block" using behavior ChangeProperty of DW.

    * also onclick set all the other div of the right column on ' display: no "DW ChangeProperty behavior.

Be aware that how to apply this behavior for inches is one) first to wrap every inch in an anchor null () and then apply the behavior to the anchoring of the packaging not to the image.  Alternatively, you can apply the behavior to the image and then using the behaviors panel, change the behavior of "onClick" event to " onClick.

  • Tile or cut large images in the tables? Completely outdated?

I'm working through the tutorials on Lynda.com XHTML

The instructor did a demo to decide a large image with sections that have animated connections. He slices the static parts and slices the lively parties and then combines them into a 3 x 3 slice slice table.

He said "I'd rather do with tables, since that's what it was designed for.

I know tables are outdated, but I don't know if it is in all respects. As if I was going to do a table of data, I would definitely use tables...

I'm not sure when this video was made, but it is still in practice and a good practice?

It then shows a similar demonstration to reconcile slices using CSS. Is - this too outdated? Are people still decide large images?

Unlike print design where everything is static and immutable, web pages must be flexible and web accessible for all users, devices, and displays.

Slices of the image have their positive and negative points.  Occasionally, you may need to create a flexible container that resizes the content.

3 slices in a CSS image formatting ~

That said, you can add visual interest to web pages without a lot of images using CSS.

design of web pages 2-image ~

Finally, take a look at the CSS Zen Garden , where the power of CSS is demonstrated.

Each page contains identical HTML tags but with very different styles.

I hope that it will inspire you to move away from tables and use CSS for primary layouts.
