  You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder that stores the session data.
  When sessionstore.js is deleted, you lose App Tabs and groups of tabs and tabs open and you will have to recreate them, so possibly make a note or bookmarks.

• Phone crashed, the photos have disappeared, phone has slowed to a crawl

  My phone crashed while taking a picture. Now the photos app shows 0 photos (should be) 6000 +, even if the application is still in 8 GB of space.

  I had this happened before and the pictures app would begin to repopulate. Now, this isn't the case and the rest of the phone is barely functional, everything is extremely slow and apps crashing.

  Looks like you're consuming a lot of storage of the iPhone.

  Check the settings > general > storage & use iCloud > Storage manage and make sure that you have absolutely no less than 10% of the total free storage of your device.

  Most likely, the solution will be to restore your iPhone as new and then very selectively add content since your last backup.  As has happened before, you have probably been run too close to capacity for some time.

• Contacts slows to a crawl when creating or editing after upgrade to Yosemite of Mavericks

  Updated (3) days of Mavericks 10.9.5 in Yosemite 10.10.5. Today, trying to create or edit contacts is excruciatingly slow.

  N.B.: I DON'T store my Contacts in iCloud. All contacts are stored on my 17 mid-2010 "MacBook Pro. I don't use icloud drive.

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  This system came with 2 320 GB drives, running Vista Home Premium. After that the primary HARD drive failed, I restored the OS on the remaining disk.  Now, after a few minutes of browsing the web, the browser unresponsive, and the system becomes very slow.  I tried to reinstall the operating system, different browsers (IE7 and 8, Opera, Firefox &), & installation of SP2.  Nothing did.  The system must be rebooted to use the browser again, and restart can take 5 to 16 minutes, if it stops.  Task Manager process shows 2 IExplores, but only one of the other browsers and will not close IE.

  Any thoughts?

  Try to remove Zone Alarm, reboot, and use it for a few days to see if the system is stable. If so, try another application instead of Zone Alarm Firewall.

  I don't know much about computers, my husband installed the wireless c309a.  The printer seems to work very well even though I have not tried the scannner, but after printing a document, my computer is very slow.  Opening a document may take a few minutes.  The internet is too slow.  I get the error messages often on the internal memory is too low.  I have to reboot to get it to normal and can not keep the printer.  Restart takes about 20 minutes for all the error messages which are erect and things are difficult to close.  Help - I'm a real novice computer, but I know that the problem is the printer / wireless.  I had to uninstall it and reinstall, but that doesn't seem to help.

  It is a program that runs in the background that monitors your printer use (always).  It can severely degrade the performance of your computer, especially if you have very little RAM.

  Go to start, Control Panel, add/remove programs.

  Select the HP Customer Participation program and uninstall it.

  Restart your computer.

  To find out how much RAM you have, click Start, right-click computer, and select Properties.

  On this page, it will tell you how much RAM you have.  512 MB is the minimum, one less is good, too little.

  Hi, I'm a photographer and video editor. I built my computer about 15 months ago to work with CS5 and the Mecury playback engine. In recent months it has been slowing down at an alarming rate. During the holidays, I created a video of the wedding of my brother and kept first photos to stop with an error that read something like "Open GL driver failed" add something about 'out of memory'. I had to go into software mode and avoid playing the scenario (to avoid to make each photo, there were more than 100) so I could finish it in time. And now a project that I am paid will no longer reading smoothly. I get about 1 second of video fluid before it begins to blow and gel together. The audio continues, but the image does not work. Here's what I have.

  12.0 GB of Ram

  Windows 7 Pro 64 bit SP1 completely up to date

  NVIDIA GTX 470 w / 1280 MB GDDR5

  current driver. 285.62

  C: 60 GB SSD for the system and programs of 4.64 GB free

  E: 300 GB 10000 RPM 16 MB cache drive for project files VeliciRaptor preview files/scratches discs and this 134GB free

  G: 1 TB 7200 RPM 32 MB cache drive Barracuda for assets 158GB free

  I have 2 other drives, but they are not used in this workflow.

  Pagefile = 36859 MB handled automatically on drives C: and E:, G:

  My plan of energy consumption is set to High Performance.

  I am editing in first Pro CS5.5.2 (003 (MC: 258762))

  The programs that I have running in the background are: Audio Manager HD Realtek NVIDIA Settings, Zone Alarm (security), Dropbox 1.1.45, Spyder3Utility and updated Spybot.

  The project is a short 10-12 min video documentary type. It is especially interview with various B-roll interspersed. The main scenario that I use is 4 video and 4 audio channels. The fourth layer both stops to hold things. There is not much in them. Layer 1 is pieces of another calendar. This scenario consists of 2 layers of interview with 2 angles with a third audio track of the zoom recorder all in sync and color corrected. I set the opacity here to choose what angle of camera to use, but cut this whole timeline in my scenario main to minimize synchronization issues and added stage of color correction.  In the main timeline, video layers 2 and 3 are B-roll. audio layer 2 and 3 include a short sound effect and a few pieces of music. Part music has been slowed down or sped up to fit the necessary time. First renders quickly as sound when I start the project or make changes to these files in the timeline panel.

  All the sound elements are MP3 or WAV files.

  Most of the video's images of Canon DSLR (5 d mkII, 7 d and 60 d, I think). All 30 1920 x 1080 p (24 p a couple by accident) there are some files JPEG, TIFF and PNG file. Many of the images are kept at the void chronologies with 2 layers. one with a moving image, and the other with a Gaussian blurred version in the background to fill the frame. There are a few timelapeses that are of different sizes, but nothing smaller than full HD 2 are MP4 videos and the rest are quicktime.

  All of my calendars are preset for a DSLR movie at 30 fps 1920 x 1080.

  Almost all of my calendar has the small yellow line above it indicating that we should be material made these images.

  A few things about how I worked with this computer. I built it for CS5. When I started using it, it was great. Lately the computer has slowed down, a lot. last week, I uninstalled a few foreign programs and twisted somethings. Almost everything on the computer is now equal to running back. First is not. It's also the point that I can't edit, and edit a new project is due this Friday. When I started to use this computer I had some noise GPU and CPU fans when I load an intensive service project. This makes sense he was doing computer work. Now I have almost no noise from a fan and the thing works like shit when I'm editing. It's not logical for me. If something has changed with a first update that changes the way she builds on the material, cause I does not seem to do this at all. Or could I have knocked down without knowing a switch somewhere that has changed this leverage effect. In the project settings , made video and reading is always set on Mercury Playback Engine GPU accelerated. On the same line, I have noticed a lot less noise from the fan when rendered with Media Encoder. I can't say I've seen a huge success in it, but it seems not be taxing the GPU as previously.

  Thanks a lot for your help. Here's my solution. Although I never really discovered the problem.

  I couldn't do anything in the works, so I did a clean install of windows and all of my programs. A lot of fun, but part of the reason why I organized my computer as I did with a small SSD as the root of the drive for windows and programs should quickly be albe wipe and start over with mining of the minimal information off the drive backup I wipe. So after reinstalling and updating almost all first runs very good once again. I say very good, not amazing. But I admit it's a bit detrimental as my initial astonishment at how first ran when I first built this computer must have been greatly influenced by how much better it was than my old rig.

  First is now running at the height, especially with more simple projects. For the complex project I was working on it turns out that we had to go back to piracy and share history with the edition of raw, so to do this, I disabled the color correction in my nested sequence that keeps running nice and smooth. I can quickly re-enable later once we get the lock of the photo. But its good to know that the work is done.

  On a side note, while I reinstall windows, I checked some settings in the bios and noticed that the CPU (intel core i7 950) was operating at 90 degrees Celsius. Way hot. apparently my stock heatsink of heat began to fail. And I think, but I can't be sure, which may have contributed to my slow in performance. So I installed a new CoolMaster and took the opportunity to dig into the area to add more than 12 GB ram.

  I'm back on and have been for a few days after the last wave of messages. (I got some catching up to do). Thank you all very much for your help. I have a question finally. I did the re - install windows several times in my life and have gotten good enough to get the required information before I have format to get programs up and running again afterwards. I forgot in my haste to save my preferences/presets in my Suite from Adobe. Is there a quick way or simple way to backup/export your presets and setting in the Master Collection CS5.5 so when something like this happens, I should not rebuild all of the little things?

• Safari has slowed to a crawl.

  Not sure if it started with updates of Yosemite or the latest version of Flash Player, but it seems to be deteriorating. It is especially noticeable when I try to check my email (www.mail.com). It is designated as my opening page, but if you connect brings me to this page, access my email takes forever. The same is true if I type in the address of the server manually.

  Firefox also recognizes my login immediately, information while Safari makes me keep trying again and again.

  I don't know how long contributions to open later, because after what looks like a reasonable length of time, if I switch to Mozilla Firefox, access to my mail is immediate then, after a quick check for new messages, if I go back to Safari, it is finally open.

  I already started to remove items (such as cookies on the sites that I visit rarely... passwords that I use more... and the story that is more than a year, but none of this seems to help).

  I don't know if the current update of browser everything is better, but after my experience with Yosemite, I'm hesitant to try.

  I've been a Mac user for quite a long time to remember when you remove plists was an easy fix for most problems.  Had all but forgotten about it until I read an answer to a MacUser who recommended as a solution to a specific problem, but which have delayed looking for and removing Safari plist to what I don't know that it will not worsen.

  Restart Safari by holding down the SHIFT key. If you still have problems of Caches empty (Safari menu > Preferences > privacy > remove all data from the Web site.) (This will also remove the history) If the problem persists, download and run MalwareBytes.

• My computer slowed to a crawl

  Since yesterday my computer acted odd. The startup time of the computer's idle and if I get a game launch it works fine. My problem is when I go to start a program. For a program that takes seconds to start I could wait up to 30 minutes, or it can choose from starts do not at all. This isn't the only problem. When I go to click with the right button on some programs in my menu start it will freeze in fact my windows Explorer forcing me to restart it or wait ten minutes to thaw it. I ran two different anti analysis antivirus (Norton Full scan) and Mcafee Stinger two of them gave no results. When I look at my resource monitor, the RAM is a bit high about 2.5 to 3.0 GB and CPU usage is around 0-2% of the disc is about 1 MB and writing is about 2 MB. I have no other programs running other than my Antivirus (Norton) and the catalyst. I even turned off all my startup programs. My HD has spread only about 170GB 1 TB, but it's more than usual. My fragmentation is only 6% at the moment and is done on a weekly basis.

  For a quick summary of the problem. I can't launch the programs and those who take a long time. Right-click in the Explorer Start menu crashes. Open computer in the start menu takes a ridiculous amount of time while navigating in other folders is instant.

  As test, try another (free) browser like Opera or FireFox. How they run, fast or too slowly?

  If you run a speed control, what is your reported connection speed. Test something like speedtest.net

  I recently had to use other browsers as IE has been slowed to a crawl after update to IE 10. Another browser has been downloaded 52 + Mbps and IE was eaking at 3.68 skinny MBPS download speed. It took a Microsoft certified expert 4 solid hours to find that I had to go back to a previous edition of IE and remove two updates to return to normal. After hours scouring for infections and registry errors, it is that after the removal of this worked evrything updates.

• This morning Lightroom slowed to a slow crawl, making it unusable.

  Any body else having this problem?  Slow to the point where it takes 3-4 minutes to load a thumbnail, or one or two minutes to change one tile to another.  Unusably slow.  Any suggestions?

  Windows 8.1, 24 RAM, I7. SSD.  Everything is updated.  No change of computer in the past two days except Lightroom has slowed to a crawl.

  Thank you all for your comments.  None of these elements are relevant.  No new external drives, people or add photos screen was not enabled.  Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling and that seemed to work as I am back to normal again.  No idea what it was, maybe a registry error?

• Firefox reset done worse; is slow, it crashes, will not open web pages, what should I do?

  I had Windows 8/1 on my desktop Dell XPS 8500 with 24 GB of memory; a fast machine. I have a strong internet connection through my phone company Qwest; still works perfectly. Firefox worked fine. Then, last week or so I downloaded the upgrade of Windows 10 and since then, I continue to have problems. Firefox has slowed to a crawl, when it works. It often breaks down, web pages, I'll often does not open.
  I tried to re - set my modem; no improvement.
  I "asked" Mozilla how to fix and the answer I got online didn't make any sense. My Firefox - which is the last - had none of the places the answer told me to go.
  Line 4 icon does not open as the answer say in 'options '.
  Obviously, I'm not an expert, but I'm not a fool. I can follow the signs except the indications that I received was irrelevant to everything I could find on my Firefox to my display screen.
  When I re - configure Firefox I lost too much of what I had saved. I won't do that again.
  Is there a problem with Windows 10 and Firefox? Like I said, on 8.1 everything was exceptional.
  Is there a conflict with software I use?
  Where should I look to find answers?
  Also, I could NOT access the Firefox health report. Directions to find it, I received are not
  correspond to anything on my Firefox or my Options page.
  I don't know what to do. Please, I hope you can help me.
