VI suddenly increased file size

I got a main vi file size of about 160 KB for several days now. All of a sudden today after (maybe after slightly changing my sub-VI-not sure about that), the size of the master file of the vi has suddenly turned up 18MB! Why is this happen and how do I get that back to normal (if normal is fine)

In general, this happens if you set a value of contol to have a default value that contains a lot of data.  If you have a table control and set to have a default value that has been a very large painting, for example, LabVIEW to store everything that data within the VI.

Another possibility is including images on the flowchart Panel or front.

    Hi Vicky,

Yes, you can... you can even delete the alert.ora file that has the database open: Oracle will recreate it just the next you will need to write to it.

  • What I discovered suddenly increased in size

I closed the lid of my computer laptop last night, and when I opened again later all the icons, fonts, windows and everything was great. I went the DPI setting and it is said this is the default format, but it's not.

I tried the system restore, but I got the following message whenever I tried: System Restore has failed. Your computer and setting file system did not change.

I also uninstalled the game, I had installed the day before. But between the time I installed the game and when this problem started I had turned my computer on and off several times and no problem occurred.

I also tried to customize - shows the settings and change the resolution bar but just everything is too small, including the text and icons and everything all square and unpleasant to look at.

How can I get everything back to normal?

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

3 Malware will stop at the system restore:

If the above does not fix it:

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

    Then:

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

  • Deleting a group to a TDMS file increases the file size

    Hi all

I was searching for information on how to delete a group in a TDMS file. Apparently this is not a simple task as I thought because firstly, it is necessary to convert the TDMS file in a TOC file, remove the group from the TOC file and finally convert the TDM in PDM file. There is a sample project really nice here (I have attached it in the post anyway!).

This project works very well. Indeed, I am able to remove the group from the PDM file. However, I realized that perform the deletion process increases the size of the file (about 4 times). If you are viewing the PDM with the PDM file - file Viewer.vi you realize that several strange properties have been added to each channel of all other groups. I assumed that this is partly the cause of the increase in size.

Anyone know why this is happening?

I'm using LabVIEW 2014 and I downloaded the project for 2014 LabVIEW.

Any help is appreciated to higlhy.

    Best regards

    Diego Ballen

The old way was to read each group that you want to save and write to a new file. The fundamental problem is that TDMS format has been optimized for speed and no memory efficiency, which can cause a lot of complications when you seemingly simple things - like the deletion of data, or reading the data of the file.

That is why NEITHER came up with these new features. If you're stuck with an earlier version, you can always write your own function to do the same.

  • Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file. This process may be denied requests for some applications.

When I start my laptop I get "your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file. This process may be denied requests for some applications. "and my laptop takes forever or does not open my programs. any help? Thank you.

    less than low disk space,

What seems to be the case, it's that your windows is having a hard time resize its file for virtual memory.

my suggestion is to remove "auto" at that time, and then set a custom format.

I recommend that you set the initial size of 2 and max at 1152.

  • Printing win 7 guest, the printer queue maintains a loop and increases the size of the file

    Hi all

That are running Windows 7 enterprise and on another professional machine, same results:

I share a "laser" on the USB printer, the printer works very well under windows prgms...  (all as administrator)

    Open CMD window:

"net use LPT2: \\hp1\laser / persistent: Yes" command complete and looks good in "Net view \\hp1".

Now, I open the print queue window and try printing a text file:

"print test.txt > lpt2" command appears to complete.  (Same results for copy, etc.)

I now see the file appear in the print queue, flashing, saying: rolling/printing, repeating & loop, and each Flash increases the size of the file!

I tried to change the Port LPT1 and 3

Nothing prints, because I have to stop the spooler, delete the file, start the spooler to clear.

What happens on two different machines, I'm totally stuck!

    Help appreciated!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I increase the maximum file size allowed on the media?

Whenever I have record video using the video camera, after a very short time it will stop recording and gives a message 'maximum size of the file reaches. I've adjusted the settings to save in 'Normal' mode, but while recording appears in last a short time, the result file size is way too big to be able to easily send to contacts. When you use the MMS mode the recording time is much too short. Is it possible to increase the maximum allowed size of the file so that a resulting video would be about 3-4 MB or less?

You can download any software video conversion on the net. just try this one "Freestudio".

  • Increase the size of the tablespace: which of the data file for the tablespaces ine that I have to increase?

    Hello

I need to increase the size of the tablespaces in EBS R12 Database 11.2.0.3.0:

    APPS_TS_TX_IDX

    APPS_TS_SEED

    APPS_TS_TX_DATA

But they all have multiple datafiles:

    Example for APPS_TS_SEED:

    [data oracle@ebs122dev] $ of the hs - a_ref0 *.

    1, 5G a_ref01.dbf

    1, 2G a_ref02.dbf

    508M a_ref03.dbf

    2, 0G a_ref04.dbf

    2, 0G a_ref05.dbf

    2, 0G a_ref06.dbf

Many of the datafiles should I resize to increase the size?

    Thank you

    Luis

    Hello

It does not matter what file you resize.

Personally, I prefer to start with the first file and reach the largest file size and resize then the following.

In addition, having the files with a size that is a multiple of 1 GB is a good practice for me.

Another option is to activate the autoextend for data files option.

You can set the maximum size of 4 GB for example all files in storage areas that are growing rapidly.

    Kind regards

    Bashar

  • I want to increase the size of the image icons in the palette to open the file, see them much

I need to increase the size of the image icons in the palette of open files, see them much. Used to be a slider, wasn't there?

Open files dialogue is controlled by your operating system.

If you need more great icons and you use 10 Windows, the dropdown Options is in the upper right corner.   See screenshot.

What is the slider that you are looking for?

  • Electronic signature PDF file increases the size of the file about 3 MB

We use our Smart badge certificates to sign electronically PDF documents.  This action adds recently ~ 3 MB for each file for each signature.  It is a recent phenomenon.  It didn't last month.  When you do that, you might have multiple signatures on a PDF of 1 page and the overall size of the file was very small, like the size of 200-300kb.  What could have been changed and the suggestions on how reset it?

In fact, I found a possible solution:

    Edit / Preferences / Signatures

    1. Design & appearance: uncheck "include signature's revocation status.
    2. Audit: Uncheck "Require the revocation of the certificate to succeed..." »

    See the screenshots below:

Note, this is Adobe XI and uses certificates from a SmartBadge.  It seems that fairly constant file size (not dramatically increasing the size of the file).,.

  • TIFF LZW file size increased?

I'd like this handled by my expert colleagues of imagery. Created a very large TIFF of a painting that I photographed. The final tiff file without any compression was 645 MB (16-bit Prophoto RGB file). When I saved the same file for my client, this time adding compression LZW tiff file, everything the same, it's around 850 MB.

I do this on a Mac, the latest versions of Yosemite and Photoshop CC 2015.

I never noticed that by selecting compression LZW would increase the size of the file. Then... I'm deliver the file to my client without compression, because the file opens faster this way (and it's smaller!).

Anyone has an idea why LZW would increase the size of the tiff file?

    Scott,

I think you can refer to link below for compression LZW in Photoshop.

Re: Recording TIFF with LZW compression results in larger file size.

  • Multiple instances of the same audio clip increase the size of the file?

By example, if the same audio clip is placed on layers separated five as opposed to one (5 v 1)?

    Does not Flash "dedupe"?

No, they do not increase the size of file significantly.  That is to say, the assistance of 100 cases of a noise could increase the file size of 1 KB on a single instance because noise of no added 100 times at the end of file, just the necessary info to indicate where it should play in the timeline or in your actionscript code.

  • How to link images without increasing the size of the file?

I have this book that I am designing that uses the same image on all other pages. Like I did the changes to the image and the restoration of the links/update links, I noticed that the size of my file went from 30 to 102 MB. At first I thought that my image is too big, so I tried to reduce the size in Photoshop. But it seems that just rebinding time and again increases the size of the file. Anyone know how I can get rid of the additional data/information that is saved in my InDesign file? Help, please!

    Thank you!

Increase in the size of the file that you edit because ID is to store data changed in the editing for you session can use cancel. The data stored in the file, also, unfortunately and becomes heavy. A Save AS will remove all data undo, as will crossing IDML.
