Via InvokeActionItem file sharing appears NFC

The problem I see, is that I have a file with a custom. When you use the InvokeActionItem to share (bb.action.SHARE), I can not everything other then NFC (BBM, email and so on are not available). The file, filename.xyz, just contains XML code that my application handles the opening.

So, how can I fix?

Code:

{InvokeActionItem}
ID: shareIPBtn
Title: qsTr ("share IP")
ActionBar.placement: ActionBarPlacement.InOverflow
imageSource: "asset:///images/share.png."

query {}
MIME type: ' application/xml '.
invokeActionId: "bb.action.SHARE".
}

onTriggered: {}
data = ServerRepository.getServerFilePath (hostIPStr.text); Returns the name of the file
}
}

So the solution is not quite as clean as I'd hoped it would be. When you define a query of InvokeActionItem, the uri must point to a file that exists on the file system. The mime type is then used to determine how the file can be sent via.

It is certainly a requirement without papers. What did my code was to create the file to transfer when InvokeActionItem-> onTriggered() is called. This is because the content of the file depends on what the InvokeActionItem has been used. A sharing would result in another file that sharing B.

Anyway, my solution was to create an empty file just for the InvokeAction query can be satisfied. When onTriggered() is called, then I write to have the file and the file is sent in the chosen language.

What I find frustrating, is that the contents of the file has no impact on what is the InvokeActionItem; This responsibility lies with the mime type. So, I ask you, what's the point to check if the file exists?

  • DB file sharing - why it appear?

    I keep seeing these DB sharing files that appear whenever I create a file in Indesign.

    WHY they appear and clutter my account online?  I guess they are for use of the program, but why they aren't working behind the scenes?  This only happens with CS6.  I've never had happen with CS5.

    I tried to delete an and it makes my Indesign file do not work.  So I pulled it back out of the trash.

    Any way to make it go away in the preferences?

    Thank you!

    That's probably all.  I have the desktop as the location.  In any case, I'll just delete the files and is no doubt, what is the cause, because it is not uncommon for my Mac Pro to crash.  I noticed after the loading of Spotify, it seemed to crash more often... so I deleted who.

  • Local Mac malfunction file sharing

    I am using local file sharing in my house for a good 8 years. I have 2 older iMacs (white 2006, 2007 aluminum) and a new late 2015 5 k iMac that I bought a few days ago.

    For some reason any local file sharing has started to malfunction: I no 1 wifi access point and all computers are to connect to that, but in the sidebar of Finder, tab, sharing only the 2007 aluminum appears. Other computers cannot see other computers except 2007 one. 2007 iMac can see and connect them too. I checked the settings for sharing on all computers, but nothing has changed.

    I tried to manually enter the ip address into Finder go tab, 'Connect to server', but I always find myself with 'server not found '. There is nothing different between computers sharing preferences, but somehow only the 2007 one appears.

    Please help me, I use this feature a lot!

    Thank you.

    Hi pianistemre2,

    Thank you for using communities of Apple support and congratulations on your new iMac! I understand you wanting to continue using the sharing of files between your 3 iMac, but only one is considered by the computers on your network. I know it's a great way to share files between devices, so I'm happy to provide advice to solve this.

    Since you are able to see and connect to the 2007 iMac, it seems as if it were the only one who has fully implemented which files he will share, and with whom he will share the. Make sure that you have followed the steps below to configure which directories you want to share with other users on your network. Also, remember that users can access those files.

    How to share files with other users of Mac:

    1. Open sharing preferences if it is not already open (choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Sharing).
    2. Check the file sharing.
    3. To select a specific share folder, click Add at the bottom of the folders list, find the folder, select it, and then click Add.
      1. The Public folder of each user who has an account on your Mac is automatically shared. To prevent a shared folder, select it in the list of shared folders and click Remove.
    4. By default, any user put in place on your Mac in the preferences users and groups can connect to your Mac via network. A user with an administrator account can access your Mac together.
      1. To give only some users access to a folder, select the folder in the folders list, and then click Add at the bottom of the list of users. Then do one of the following:
        1. Select a user in users and groups, that includes all your Mac users.
        2. Select a user from the network or users groups network, which includes everyone on your network.
        3. Select a person in your contacts. Create a password for the person, then click on create an account.

    OS X El Capitan: share your files with other users of Mac

    These steps are specifically for OS X El Capitan, but should be similar for earlier versions of Mac OS X.

    Once you have added users to the network or the correct groups on all your computers, you will be able to access everything again.

    See you soon!

  • WIN8 - password file sharing does not turn off

    all.

    I just bought a win8.1 Tablet and have hit a problem with file sharing. Since yesterday the Tablet worked perfectly on my network and I transfer file between her and my PC without any problem. But now it will not work. I'm on a WiFi network.

    When on my PC (Me - PC) attempts to connect to the Tablet (Me - Tab) via my computer/network it appears that error message from the device is inaccessible.

    When on the Tablet, I go to my computer and then I can see Me - PC network. However when I try to connect it appears a connection window asks me to enter my username and password to connect. The PC doesn't have a user name or password to connect. I also noticed that this newspaper in the window trying to use a domain called "Me-tab."

    My network doesn't use areas, all PC's are on a working group called simply at HOME.

    The PC (Me - PC) is set up for the RECEPTION of working group.
    The Tablet (Me - Tab) is put in place for the RECEPTION of working group

    On the two I put:
    Network type is 'work' on the Win7 PC and 'private' in the Win8 tab
    Discovery - Network SUITE
    File sharing - SUITE
    Public folder sharing - WE
    a 128 bit encryption - SUITE
    Password sharing - OFF
    Let windows manage the homegroup connections - SUITE

    It seems to be stuck on thinking, it's in a field called his own device name, is there a way to reset completely all network settings? I said the tablet to "forget" the wifi connection, rebooted and reconnected several times without result.

    Can someone offer advice before turn me this table

  • Server 5.0.4: Too many users connect to file sharing

    Hello

    First of all, here are my current profile:

    Mini Mac server (end of 2012)

    OS X 10.10.5

    Server 5.0.4

    Lately when I am looking at the list of users connected to the server via the tab sharing files I noticed more and more users who connect to Time Machine to back up at the same time. When there are so many users doing this that it slows everybody back down.

    Is there a way I can strangle the number of users connected at the same time?

    I don't believe it.

    Perhaps you should consider setting up more than one time server Machine and distributing users between them. It would be probably exaggerated, but in theory, you could have two or Mac connected to a San to share a storage pool and each being then a time server Machine. I'd probably use independent storage for everyone in this case well unless you already have a SAN system.

    You might also consider bonding of two or more network interfaces on the Mac mini to give it a faster network connection or more money there today Thunderbolt 10 Gbit/s Ethernet adapters.

    2 x 1 Gbit/s = 2 Gbit/s, or 1 x 10 Gbps is clearly going to be able to support more network traffic and so more users than just the single integrated to 1 Gbit/s Ethernet port. You need a network switch that also supports Ethernet 10 Gbps, or LACP aka. 802.3ad as the standard of channel binding depending on the approach you have chosen.

    Trying to file on network share local wifi between MBA and iMac. Both on Yosemite.

    MBA sees the iMac on network:

    However, this same combination usr/pwd is rejected for sharing.

    Password sharing is somewhat different to the local password on iMac?

    Any ideas?

    OSX 10.11.1 (B 15, 42)

    Hey SaltSeaShark,

    It seems that if you try to connect to your iMac for file sharing on your local network and trying to connect using the user account name and password for this iMac, but it does not allow you to connect. Is this fair?

    One thing to check here would be to see if the iMac is configured for file sharing, because it is not enabled by default. Follow the steps in this article - OS X El Capitan: share your files with other users of Mac

    Note that you can set up file sharing for all users of the iMac or select specific users. Do not forget that you have configured the correct or users to share.

    Also, in System Preferences > Panel sharing > file sharing select the Options button. In the next window, you should at least have selected share files and folders using AFP . (Windows users would normally connect via SMB).

    How to connect with the file sharing on your Mac.

    Advanced options

    If you want to restrict the protocols can be used to connect to your computer using file sharing, click the Advanced Options in the sharing pane. You can then select the protocols are used by your Mac. By default, OS X Mavericks and later automatically enable SMB and AFP for compatibility with Windows, Mac using the Mavericks and Yosemite and Macs computers with older versions of Mac OS X.

    After ensuring it is properly configured, use the steps in this article to connect to shared iMac - volume OS X El Capitan: connect to shared computers and servers for files on a network

    Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

  • How to password protect my files shared on my network?

    I am trying to share a folder on the network and the have password protected. I use Windows XP Service Pack 3 Professional. I have disabled in simple file sharing files Options. All my computers are in the same workgroup. For the record I would like to share, I have the following settings:

    On the sharing tab, I 'Share this folder', filled in the maximum limit and the share user name. The "Permissions" button, I deleted "Everyone" and put in a username I've created specifically for the sharing folder connection and he gave total control. Everything is left to him by default.

    For the Security tab, I just like default except added the user account, I created and that you have authorized for total control.

    When I look at from any computer on the network, I can see the computer and shared folders in the working group. There is a default folder "SharedDocs" I open it. But if I try to enter the folder that I created, I get the following error:

    "You are not allowed to access \\MYCOMP\SharedFolder. Contact your network administrator to request access.

    If I do all what I said above, but instead of adding the user account, I put "Guest" or "everyone, then the file can be found on my other computers without the error but no password is invited. What should I do so that when I try to enter the folder, it ask for a login and a password.

    As a side note, my other computers do not have this problem with their shared folders. When I click on the computer under 'View workgroup computers '. Rather than open a list of shared folders, it opens a prompt for a login and a password, and if they are correct, it will show that all shared folders and files shared to that user. If the password of the specific folders is not possible, should what settings I change so that it works like this instead?

    My apologies if this should have been in the files, records and research topic.

    When you connect to a network share, authentication proceeds roughly in this order:

    1. If the user on the remote computer is connected with a user name that exists on the machine sharing the passwords match, while the user is authenticated as himself without another guest.
    2. If the user on the remote computer is connected with a user name that exists on the machine of sharing and the passwords do not match, then this as seen user denied access to the computer sharing without prompting.
    3. If the user on the remote computer is connected with a user name does not exist on the machine of sharing, an attempt is made to authenticate the user "guest".  If successful, that the user connection looks like it is 'guest' on the machine of sharing user.
    4. If the remote user is unable to authenticate as a 'guest' on the sharing machine, then a name of user and password screen appears to provide authentication.

    It seems to me to make it work as you want, you want to make sure that step 3 above does not occur.  This can be accomplished by disabling the "Guest" on the machine sharing account. (This forces everyone to authenticate on the machine)  Two ways to do as an administrator on the machine of sharing:
    (A) bring up a command prompt window (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:
    NET user guest / active: No.
    (B) right click on 'My Computer'-> manage-> system tools-> local users and groups-> users
    Double-click "Invited" in the right window-> Put a check in the box "account is disabled".  "OK" your way out.

  • WRT610N/RT31P2 Internet OK, no file sharing / print

    After a pass to a Linksys tech, Internet access for all 4 computers connected to the WRT610N works.  VoIP phone service works.  The only thing that doesn't work is not is the file sharing and printers on the network Windows.

    All systems running versions of Norton Internet Security (as they were when he is on the cable network) and the Windows Firewall is off.  The four systems show in the table of DHCP reservations, but none of them can see themselves as part of the working group.

    Problem solved.  New versions of Norton require that each individual computer be labelled with full trust from the view of the network card rather than enter a range of IP addresses of trusted network.
