    What OS do you have?

Normally, you can copy videos on the HARD drive first and then try to burn on DVD using Nero or CD Burner XP.

If VLC can't play the file, it can be owner or damaged. In addition, VLC should have no problem with a standard DVD playback.

You can always try to convert it.

Freemake Video Converter is one of the most recommended video converters to help users to convert their SOURCE of videos in WMV. Freemake Video Converter is extremely easy to use, but there are a few ' opt-out ' the software provided with the installer that makes the user nervous. I created a post to illustrate the process of downloading the application, installation step by step, explaining what options are optional. I have also provided some screenshots on just how it is easy to convert your videos into WMV.

  • Several video projects on DVD

Compressor Ver 4.2.2 have the ability to burn two or more FCP video projects on DVD, assuming that there is enough space?

Compressor Ver 4.2.2 allows to burn a DVD with video to iMovie?

I have an iMac, mid 2011, OS X El Capitan, worm 10.11.4.

    Thank you

Compressor (like FCP) can only create videos of single track. If you need to do more, then I would combine them into a single FCC schedule. You would copy and paste several chronologies to a master timeline - probably incorporating title clips and chapter markers for easy navigation. (I guess that iMovie can do that too, but I'm not sure). What is certainly true is that you can export a video from iMovie, and then bring to the compressor to create a movie. (This is to combine several videos into iMovie, that I'm not sure of).

Post back if you have further questions on this.

    HI Fanny,.

Any graphic activity will tend to make your laptop run more hot and therefore sufficient cooling.

Make sure that your airway through the CPU radiator is not clogged with dust and debris (a lot of discussions in this forum about this) and also ensure that there is sufficient air under your laptop knife get in the fan air vents.

You do not have to convert vob, DVD Authoring
software that will do it for you.

Windows XP cannot burn a video DVD, you need
    DVD Authoring software.

Perhaps the following freeware will help you get started:

Original title: not a wiz here pc... How can I copy video to a DVD on my hard drive... I have windows XP?
need help please... thank you in advance.

If the DVD is "not" a commercial copy protected DVD...
the following steps may be worth a try:

When you insert the DVD in your DVD player... close
all the windows that can open and then go to... Start /.
Computer... right click the icon for the DVD player
is located in, and then select Explore or open to view the
    Directory of the DVD.

The files you need from the DVD are the. VOB files.
You will find them in the VIDEO_TS folder. Copy them
in a folder on your hard drive. Or you can copy the
    full VIDEO_TS folder.

First... just try to rename one of the. VOB files to
. MPG or. AVI and see if it will matter in Movie Maker.
If import works... drag the file to the timeline and
Economy/publication it to .wmv or .avi format. Then...
Re - import new video from .wmv to for editing.
(Note: in Windows 7 you may be able to import the)
VOB files in Movie Maker just as they are)

(FWIW... you can probably play the files renamed
in Windows Media Player to be sure that VOB
    file to edit)

If you are unable to import the files they need to be converted
another .wmv format would be a good choice.

There are many programs that can do conversions...
The following freeware is an example...:

    Format Factory

    (the 'direct link' is faster)
(the file you want to download is: > FFSetup260.zip<>
    (FWIW... installation..., you can uncheck
('all' boxes on the last screen)

First, you will need to decompress the file or just open the
Drag FFSetup260.exe out of the folder
and drop it on your desktop. To install left click.

Next, after the download and installation of Format
Factory... you can open the program and
left click on the toolbar, the "Option" button and
"Select an output folder to" / apply / OK.
(this is where you find your files after they)
    are converted)

Drag and drop your video clips on the main screen...

Select "all to WMV" / OK...

Click on... Beginning... in the toolbar...

    That should do it...

A .vob is a type of video file DVD, which, as well as other types of files is used for standard DVDs. This is a special type of file video mpg, and a single .vob file will play on just a few players. If you have installed other players, first see if it will play on one of them. Depending on the OS and WMP you have, often you can do a video .vob file play on WMP by changing the extension .vob to .mpg. The player may ask you if you want to try to read the file, and if you answer Yes, it will play then. If these two fail, there are many programs that can convert a .vob to .wmv, .mpg or other formats that WMP will play. This program is free, but pays a lot those who give you a free trial, that could be enough to get you to your current problem.

  • My saved Windows Movie Maker Project open with video clips in the Audio editing panel and vice versa (NOT as it was created). Can I move them back where they belong?

After days of the creation of a filmmaker 'project' I 'saved project' one last time, then reopen and publish a movie.  All my video Clips (phtotos) now appear in the Audio editing / music along the bottom with only a video clip standing in line of the video of this 'slide show' of 90 minutes.  Is it possible to move these clips to which they belong without having to recreate the whole project?

What happens if you try to read the project in Movie Maker?

Looks like your project .mswmm file is corrupt (starting
Perhaps more than the best approach). The project can be as far
too big and too complex to publish (save) with success as a
    video file.

I suggest that you create several small projects
and publish (save), each of them in the. WMV video format
and then re-import the collection. To combine WMV files
    in a single movie.

You can also import collection. Clips WMV to DVD
Manufacturer and each clip, would have become a scene (chapter)
    on the DVD.

I did a movie and released a dvd. Then, I moved my files from movie on an external hard drive to store files and free up space on my computer.
