  Hello
  I have a problem with the keyboard trying to enter text. While typing I put funds, or emails or any where on the computer typing stops.
  I have to re-click in barely end I'm typing.
  It happens every time I have press the SPACEBAR key tab and enter the return key.

  All third party software is supposed to be compatible with vista. I had real problems with Qosmio G20 for 14 months, which eventually led to me have replace it with this machine.
  Other than typing I havnt had any other problems yet.

  I don't want to go back but can't seem to find a lot of online help

  I just purchased a Qosmio G20-108 of ebay and the seller said that the laptop is ok but I had a virus previously and it wiped the HARD drive. The DVD player has so replaced it by a new one, but he couldn't just load the recovery of Windows Media Center.   If the DVD player is replaced, you are 100% sure it works well then you probably have a problem with faulty HARD drive.

  If possible, try to get one for testing purposes. It can be used. Replace the HARD drive and try to install the top OS. Check if you have full access to the HARD drive.

  I have a Qosmio G20-108 with BIOS 1.2. I've set a scheduled task in Windows to run at night and wake up the computer to do. This only happens when the cover is open, if it is not closed, the task is not executed. Does anyone know if the reactivation of the BIOS will work if the lid is closed? Update the BIOS to 1.4 make windows work power the machine on the lid closed?

I'm not used to slapping just the latest BIOS on a machine if I have the problem, I want to know what is in the update, what are the features it has and what suits it contains!   Just recently my Outlook Express from Microsoft has denied me the ability to delete emails with inevitable consequence than my (already) crowded hard drive clog up and die! My machine is a * Qosmio G20-108 *.

  Of course you can do it. On this Qosmio laptop TV tuner works on the same principle as usual TV. You can watch movies on Qosmioplayer or using Media Center Edition VHS. In both cases start movie VHS and let Qosmioplayer or MCE sweep all TV channels. On one of them, you will see the picture of VHS VCR.

  All that s. I tested it with Qosmioplayer and MCE too. It works without any problem. I also tested recording option. This also works. Later, I edited material recorded and created DVDs.

  With short words: with Qosmio G20, you can do whatever you want. It's really good multimedia laptop.

• Problems with Qosmio G20 and SuSE Linux 10.3 installation

  You see, it s a problem since your RAID controller is not correctly recognized by some kernels/distributions.
  I have no perfect solution for you, but I propose to try another distro (since there are hundreds of them) who could probably work with your machine.

• Weird problem with Qosmio F50-108 - power power button

  I have strange problem with button / stop on Toshiba Qosmio F50-108 - pressing the power button won't start the computer. Now, the computer starts only when I press the first button to the right of the power button (Toshiba button Support).

  It's as if the buttons have been activated. The power button is still able to stop the laptop or put on standby when you press on, but it no longer starts. Recently, I had my laptop on the service, but I put t know if it has been opened or not. Is it possible that the problem is hardware related or is - this serious just of system configuration?   The problem is that this graphics card is not extendable part. That means t, you can exchange it with another model because it s fixed/soldered to the motherboard and nontradable.

  I bought Qosmio G20-106 with XP Media Center and other cool stuff in Vienna a few days ago and it houses (Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina) presented yesterday and turned on for the first time. It worked perfectly for the first 10 hours. After that I constantly get the message on 'Cooling system problem' and to repair my laptop and click OK.

  My CPU temperature is 57 ° C most of the time, and it raises up to 70-80 ° C Max I hear also cooling fans walk from time to time.

  The system slows down sometimes, but most of the time it works very well and quickly.

  There you can find a partner to service approved in Sarajevo. Try to contact them and explain this problem with your Qosmio. I hope they can help you. If this isn't the case, you should exchange it one day a dealer where it was purchased.

• Qosmio G20 - 139 problem - won't turn on no-help

  I had my Qosmio G20-139 since early 2006 and have had no problems with it so far.

  About a week ago I started having some blue screen error, I installed the latest driver updates etc and assumed that would cover all the problems. Today, however, my laptop goes off and I can't get it to power upward. The lights on the front, showing the power and battery etc, are lit, and when I press the power button it lights up usual blue, however, nothing else happens. No other light (eg. screen remote wireless, indicator hard disk etc.). The laptop seems to just unable to power on.

  I guess I wonder if there is a fix for this, or if I have to send the laptop.

  My main concern is that few of my files are backed up and I have a lot of photos and data, that I can't really afford to lose.

  Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Even if someone would guide me towards a solution to recover files.

(Jack mini jack RCA Red/white/yellow) But I find no way to connect it to my laptop, not the manual or all online resources talks about it. The problem is that I need to capture video from my VCR to my laptop and normal TV antenna comes with a lot of noise, so I have to use video in the cable. Any ideas?

  For the use of toshiba (stripping or Mirroring) RAID, you must have two identical drives. Your G20-108 model comes with 120 GB (60 + 60), two hard drives. If you bought a 100 GB hard drive, certainly it will not work.

  Try this, and you will have no problems:
  Make sure that the disks are identical; You can use two different brands, if they are the same size and speed, but it's a BAD IDEA, just get two new hard drives, same brand and size and you make life simple.
