Video on powerpoint (M40X SP)

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite Pro M40X with Windows XP Professional. I have problem with the insertion of the video clip and watch a video clip on presentations power point.
I tried 3 different Microsoft office xp and all versions have the same problem. I took the laptop to the gas station and I was told that there is no problem with the equipment?
Any suggestions or advice?

Hello

One of my friends had the same experience and he told me that all the video clips included in the presentation Power point cannot be opened. If I understood him right the reason has not to do with any specific model of laptop.

Yes, you can " embed " video in PowerPoint.
    Here is the tutorial:
    http://msmvps.com/blogs/tohlz/archive/2007/01/20/embedding-video.aspx

I used the method and it worked.

Open PowerPoint 2007 > Insert tab > object > create from file > navigate to the video file > select > Ok > Ok yet > Animations tab > Custom Animation > right column, under Custom Animation, click Add effect > object Actions > active content > to the starting position, take the option "after the previous.

Try it and see for yourself. Then send it to a friend and ask if the video plays on the computer of the dest.

  • Problems installing video controller on M40X-233

I have a Toshiba Satellite M40X-233 and have the following problem: after purchase, I went on this site to get the latest drivers for my laptop. Installed everything ok except the video controller. After installation of this one (Intel controller), he asked I want to reboot the machine and then could not connect, there wasn't enough resources to load the connection profile. I could only fix the problem by loading mode without failure and unistalling the #$% & pilot. After that, I tried to install the old drivers that came with the laptop, but the behavior is the same... So now I uninstalled and that you don't have any video controller, which is really bad, but well, at least I can work... everyone has the same problem? How to correct?

    Kind regards

    Carlos

    Hello

First of all what I want to know, is why you updated your drivers after buying a new laptop? In my opinion the new book must work properly and it is not necessary to update anything.
Second, the graphics card, you can check in the Device Manager.
What you should know. But I also checked this information on this device one that laptop has a Mobile Intel 915GM Express Chipset AlvisoGM graphics card. In this case, you need a graphic driver Intel.

On this site you will find a driver needed.

  • Save videos for PowerPoint

    Hi all

I ask your help because I want to save a project with several .mts avchd videos 1980 x 1020 and insert the video recorded in PowerPoint. I tried wmv, but the quality of the result was not good. I tried Avi, but I got the same result with the largest file. AVCHD requires hours to export video. The only format that maintains very good quality videos is f4v, but this isn't playing in power point!

No help to save this project in good quality, but less hours-Mo?

Your Windows Media export settings seem to be incorrect for the best possible result.

    1. for now assuming you save 1080i25 (interlaced 1920 x 1080 to 25 images per second and your preconfiguration of the project is the program)

    default PAL AVCHD Full HD1080i25.

    2. When you get to the export

    Publish + share

    Windows Media

    with Presets = 720 x 576 16 9 25 x

We need to customize which preset to be 1920 x 1080 @ 25 fps progressive

Click the button Advanced preset, click the video tab under the Advanced button.

You want to customize the export settings under the video tab as shown below

    screenshot.

To the right of the field Frame Width and Frame Height is a box. If it has a chain link in there, click on the

on the inside of the box to remove it so that you can type in 1920 and 1080 as shown in the screenshot.

The flow is set by me at 3500 Kbps (kilobits per second). According to the first results

We can decide to increase, decrease, or leave the Bitrate value 3500 Kbps.

The produced HD .wmv file has imported in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, through the insert video of this program.

  • How can I configure Mozilla to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web (HTTP) service"?

When you try to embed a video in PowerPoint 2013, the "Sorry we are having some problems of temporary service" message.

In research on the problem to Microsoft. com, the following message is received: Mozilla is not configured to accept connections on port "The World Wide Web (HTTP) service."

Hmm... PowerPoint must use Windows to connect to the internet and not Firefox.

    What method do you use?

    (1) insert > video > video online

Apparently, there was an update this month that allows this, as described in this message of support (see the top of page answer right after the question): embedding video in powerpoint 2013 - Microsoft YouTube community online

Here's how it should work after the update: Insert or link to a video on YouTube - PowerPoint

    (2) developer > control > Shockwave Flash Object

As documented on other sites, such as: https://www2.palomar.edu/pages/atrc/2013/09/17/how-to-embed-youtube-video-in-powerpoint-2013/

  • slow charge of Windows mail

Clicking on a shortcut to Windows Mail does not always brings the program.  Sometimes, a few clicks are necessary.  Other programs do not behave like that.  This computer is used primarily as a repository for email and photos.  There could be as much as 30 GB of space occupied by the saved emails.  Some of the emails have videos and powerpoint files.  There are probably 20 or more folder created in addition to the default folders.  The drive is less than half full and disk maintenance is performed regularly with compaction of message set to run every 10 times.  CCleaner is also commonly performed.

Computer is Vista Home Premium.  It's a little light on with only 1 GB of ram, but it uses a key as dedicated 2 GB Ready Boost.  Microsoft Security Essentials runs in the background, but not much else.

It is the large volume of emails that slows down the loading process or can be - something else?  Any suggestion is appreciated.  Thank you

Compact the database with my Windows Mail utility (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and see if that helps.  Under settings in MSE, disable the eml file type are analyzed.  See point 3 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

See if this speeds up things upwards a little.

  • Media Player will not play mp4 or mpeg1 files. When I try the system crashes and it goes to the blue screen of death

I'm running a quad core with 8 GB of windows 7 with office 2013 RAM.  All are clean installs.  When I try to play a video file on Media player my system breaks down and made a memory dump.  This also happens when I try and put a video in PowerPoint.  I am able to play these videos on QuickTime on the same machine.  The videos play fine on another machine of Windows 7 office 2013.  We use this system for presentations churches.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

    1. Do you have an error message when you play this video?
    2. What Media Player do you use?
    3. Did you recent hardware or changes to the software to the computer before the show?

I suggest using Windows Media Player, then try the following steps. This problem may occur because of codecs. A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use codecs to play and create digital media files.

You can refer to the suggestion made by Rohit Chettri in the following link and check if it helps.

  • Toshiba 24D1333B - powerpoint video wmv - not looping

We just purchased a Toshiba 24D1333B/24D1333B2 24 inch high definition LED TV with DVD player built-in to our Museum Show videos constantly running on the USB.

Even if I select the video loop, it isn't always - he could play for a second time but then stops.
I am using videos created by Powerpoint so that they format wmv which is supported.

    So why doesn't it loop?

    > Then why doesn't it loop?
Maybe you should edit your PowerPoint files and put in place a presentation to loop.

    How?
    1. on the slide show menu, click set up show.
    2. Select the loop continuously until 'ESC' check box

If you want a presentation to auto run, for example, at a trade show booth click viewed on a Terminal (fullscreen) in the set up show dialog box. This causes the presentation to loop and also restricts users from changing.

  • Portege R500 - Powerpoint and dual head video card

Urgent! I have a presentation to do tomorrow.

Anyone know if the Portege R500 has a dual head video card so that Powerpoint can be used in presenter view. That is to say, the notes show on laptop and external display or via a projector presentation?

I put t know what you mean exactly with dual head video card but the Portege R500 may be connected to the projector too.
You could extend your desktop on the projector by using the FN + F5 key combination and could spend the PowerPoint on the extended desktop.
    This should also work.

Since the purchase of the satellite M40x-230 in 2005, he was never able to play online or off connection permanently in the video, the video stops to load a few seconds to a minute, about 10 to 20 seconds. In this case you were using itunes, windows media player or winamp.

I downloaded the latest version of Adobe flash, but I'm not sure that there is an error with the laptop itself. The operating system has been reinstalled several times but the problem remains. I don't have this problem on a new netbook from toshiba.

    The information system are:
    Windows XP SP3 operating system,
Intel (R) Pentium (R) M processor clocked at 1.86 GHz,
    512 MB of RAM.

    Hello

I put t know which videos you look, but perhaps that you have to install a new codec pack. Just use Google to find these codec packs.

In addition, I recommend VLC media player. It s a freeware player that can play most audio and video files. It s freeware! :)

    Check this box!

  • P50 of Lenovo's PowerPoint does not play the videos embeded extended screen mode

I am using Lenovo P50 (i7, Quatro M1000M), Win10 - 64 bit and Office 2016. When you use Powerpoint in Extended projection mode embeded videos don't play. However, when I go to double projection mode it works fine, as expected.

The drivers are up-to-date - verified by Lenovo System Update & Microsoft Update.

    No idea how to fix?

    Thanks in advance

The same problem I had: to force the Nvidia to run. You can do this by disabling the iGPU Intel in the BIOS.
