slow charge of Windows mail
Clicking on a shortcut to Windows Mail does not always brings the program. Sometimes, a few clicks are necessary. Other programs do not behave like that. This computer is used primarily as a repository for email and photos. There could be as much as 30 GB of space occupied by the saved emails. Some of the emails have videos and powerpoint files. There are probably 20 or more folder created in addition to the default folders. The drive is less than half full and disk maintenance is performed regularly with compaction of message set to run every 10 times. CCleaner is also commonly performed.
Computer is Vista Home Premium. It's a little light on with only 1 GB of ram, but it uses a key as dedicated 2 GB Ready Boost. Microsoft Security Essentials runs in the background, but not much else.
It is the large volume of emails that slows down the loading process or can be - something else? Any suggestion is appreciated. Thank you

Slow charge of Windows 8 Apps and restarts after a few minutes
I would ask on the loading times on some applications of windows 8. I just bought a new Sony laptop with windows 8, I was waiting for it about a year ago. Some applications, like mail, Skype, store, skydrive, takes a long time to load, sometimes it shows just 'points of return' or the 'great application icon"in the middle of the screen. A few times, it took 1 minute to start. Is this in relation to internet bandwidth? No matter if it is just started windows or aired for some time, it's always like that.Another thing is that these same apps, almost every 5 to 15 minutes to restart. A few times he just get "refreshed", sometimes it take a minute to load again. As you can imagine at this point, I'm not a person is fluent in English, so please excuse me.Hello
Thanks for the reply.
Did you check the screen resolution?
If your PC does not respond well or do things as fast as you think it should, you can try some of the tools provided with Windows to improve performance.

In addition, about half of my 8,000 e-mails are unread. Thus, the fact of having 4 000 unread emails in my mailbox Windows (Vista) slow down my computer more than if they were 4 000 read emails?
If so, is there a quick way to mark all read emails as read in Windows Mail (Vista)? .. .in windows Live Mail (Vista)?
Even if these unread e-mails degrade the speed, is there a quick way to mark all read emails as read in Windows Mail (Vista)?... .in windows Live Mail (Vista)?
I also regularly get an alert Norton of 'Use of disc high by Microsoft Windows Search Indexer.' Gravity is the next, and what can I do to fix the problem?
Finally, I have a lot of folders: would have 2,000 emails in the Inbox Windows (Vista) slow down a computer more than if 2 000 mails were one or more files? This change of response if the e-mail is unread vs bed?
#2: the Inbox is accessible by your computer whenever he asks new messages. The fact of having 1,000 messages in the Inbox slow it down? I have no personal experience, since I never have more than a dozen or messages in my Inbox, but it is so likely. If you have lots of free space on the hard disk, the messages would be better in another folder (s). Even if you create more WinMail's local folders and move messages to them.
I would also say this. Try to compact and repair the database.

Hello, I have a laptop with Vista MS operating system and Windows Mail. Since I got the computer, I noticed that when I go to create a new email, the new message box is delayed and slow to open. And, often, once that I enter a contact in the line 'To', it also seems to be slow in filling. No idea why this is happening. The old OE always worked smoothly. Thank you.
original title: Windows Vista and Windows MailContacts are managed differently in Winmail in Vista and many can be what slows down things. You can try to reduce them, and see if that has an effect any.
See here for background information (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm), although it seems that the link to contacts has been removed. See here for information on contacts: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Managing-your-contacts

Windows mail-Slow response to any command
I use Windows Mail and have experienced incredibly slow response to each order. It loads OK, but always takes for 'Create a message,' 'reply', etc, etc. If I try to "force" the issue by clicking on the window which is actually really difficult to load, I get a "not responding" quickly, but has finally done what I wonder.

Windows Mail - the scrolling is jerky (slow delay) when electronic reading
This problem seems to have slipped on me, an update of the system is perhaps the cause, but I can't identify any changes that might have caused the it.
The problem is that in Windows Mail. When you read a mail, scroll upwards or downwards by undergoes post half a 1 second delay between the action of scrolling and scrolling of the message. By scrolling action, I mean using the previous page or next page, by clicking on the scroll bar or by using the mouse wheel - all of these actions are exactly the same jerky scrolling.
I almost emptied all my messages while I just in my Inbox, all the other folder is deleted after the export of messages. My contacts have also been reduced to 22. I have compacted the database on a stop of messaging. None of this has made all the difference.
I'm out of ideas because it is not possible to reintall Windows Mail only. Strange that I can't find anything in the forum. Do you want?
Try to compact and repair the database.

Hello
1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
2. do you get any error code or error message?
Time to send an attached file is determined according to the size of the file. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:
Temporarily disable the security software and check if it helps.
Disable the antivirus software:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Warning: If you need to temporarily disable the security software, you should reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Method 2:
Try the steps in the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.

When I open Windows Mail, I now get the security certificate that could not be verified
I swithched to Verizon and set up my 3 pop forwarding. Everything is in working order, except that now when I go into the windows mail I get an error saying:
The server to which you are connected using a security certificate that could not be verified.
The CN of the certificate name does not match the value passed
Do you want to continue
Yes No
What is everything? I called GoDaddy and they said it wasn't their share. Then I talked to Verizon and they said that it is not them but Windos Mail. So what is the answer to get rid of him?
Thanks for all the tips. I finally thought to it myself. Their teak gave me bad 3 incoming pop attack if it still worked very slow and I had to check the ssl certificate. It works fine now. Thank you all.

How to recover eMails in Windows Mail

Windows Home Premium.
Thank you in advance!
How do you save the files? The original path to the e-mail of the user was:
C:\Users\(User Name) \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local records

During my good computer for the service, I have created an e-mail account on a Toshiba laptop under Vista Home and Windows Mail, what email client I've ever used before. I have a slow connection, so I normally go to the site of the ISP and organize email before downloading - delete spam and move large in a folder messages until I can visit a library with a fast connection. But this computer sometimes starts download of e-mails before I give "approval". Today, a great message started download in one window, while I was moving it in the large file on ISP in another window. Now I have the progress bar that claims to be download this message. It is frozen and I can't get rid of it.
I tried the email of closing client and reopening without success. I think that if I turned off and restart, I can fix it, but where is there a setting in Win Mail to let me decide whether to download and so prevent this problem in the first place? Thank you.
Tools | Options | In general. Uncheck: Send & receive messages at startup and check for messages every X minutes.WinMail close and open and I hope that the problem will be resolved. If this isn't the case, you must delete the message from the Inbox on the server. -
How to get rid of the message of Windows Mail wishing to compact the message store.
Original title: messsage compact store
How can I get rid of the box that appears whenever I go out from windows mail wishing to compact the message store?
You must let compact and then it ask again another 100 closures of Windows Mail. If you don't let not compact, the result will be that the database grows big and bigger and bigger and finally is corrupt and Windows Mail no longer works. In addition it will slow down Windows Mail because it becomes larger and slow down your system. So when he asks to be compacted let compact. It only takes a moment.

Windows mail "not responding".
Since last week, when I click on the icon of Windows Mail, the program is very slow to load (30 seconds) and then mode "Windows Mail does not ' for another 25-30 seconds, until finally he connects to the server and get my mail and runs correctly. Does anyone know what causes this happening and what can I do about it? Appreciate any help!

Problems to e-mail in Windows Mail
I get the following error message when you use Windows Mail:
Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR-timeout ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC90Please notify.Thank youGraemeWhat's the exact error message? If this is the case, the most probably cause is analysis of the e-mails. See what is in bold below, and you're better take this option immediately.
Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email
http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htmNote that for many AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in custom Mode and uncheck e-mail scanning when the option is available.
