Hello
Check this answer by Marilyn O - Engineer Support Microsoft answers:
It's a solution that has been suggested by walderwambat in another forum:
I have the same problem but mine tied down to difficulty there utilities that have been downloaded. If you have difficulty the solution seems to be to run Fix it, at the top, select 'Settings' then 'valuation', then 'Recovery Commander' on the left on the lower top toolbar. Uncheck 'detect when an implementation program is launched... "and that should fix it.
This can help you if you can't find the right program to uninstall with normal methods. I can't guarantee that I have not tried this suggestion.
Sincerely,

Windows Vista failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause...
Leader: \Windows\system32\config\system
Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: Windows could not load because the fileis system missing or corrupt registry

Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.
Restore point:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
See you soon.
I use a mac pro 2x3GHz. I don't know what I did, but since a few days I was not able to play videos from web sites like youtube. Can you help me?
Hello joebat,
It seems that some of your plugins (Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102) might be buggy or obsolete. To check for updates, please visit the plugincheck page. If this does not resolve the problem, try to start Firefox with the disabled modules and see if it helps at all. If so, delete the Shockwave Flash plugin and maybe reinstall or uninstall Firefox and do a new clean install.
If that is not yet solved the problem, try the following troubleshooting steps: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.htmlThank you for your patience and please let me know how it goes.
It is a gateway M6866 laptop running Windows Vista 64-bit.
The computer does not start up--gives "BOOTMRG is missing" error at startup. I'm trying to boot from the 64-bit of Windows Vista recovery disc. I clicked on the "repair your computer" option, and it shows the computer loading files. Then the "System Recovery Options" box appears and asks me to select the operating system to fix it. The problem is that nothing has listed. It is said that if your OS is not listed click Load Drivers. I did, but it is said to insert the device installation media, and then click OK to select the driver. I clicked on OK and then opens a browser window to select the file.
I don't know which file I'm supposed to select here. I searched online for an answer, and someone told him to go to the computer manufacturer's website and download the driver for RAID controller. I tried to go to the site of the bridge to find it, but it doesn't seem to be one for Vista 64-bit.
Please please help! I have to at least be able to extract the files to the hard drive before reinstalling windows.
Hello
· Have you Configure RAID on the system?
If you have not configured then RAID on the system, I suggest you to disable the RAID/eSATA (SATA improved) in the BIOS. Once you turn off the RAID/eSATA on the system that your basic hard disk should be recognized by the system because it doesn't require any drivers, it will act as an IDE. Once you have disabled the RAID/eSATA then booting into the recovery environment and build the Bootrec and check if the problem is resolved. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below to rebuild the bootrec.
Rebuild the BCD store by using the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment. To do this, follow these steps:
a. get the Vista installation DVD and pop in your drive.
b. then restart your computer.
c. press a key when you are prompted.
d. Select a language, a time, a currency, and a keyboard or another input method, and then hitNext
e. click on repair your computer
f. click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next
g. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt
h. type bootrec /rebuildbcd and then press the Enter"" key.
· If Bootrec runs successfully, it will present you with the installation of a Windows directory path. To add the entry in the BCD store, type Yes. A confirmation message appears that indicates the entry has been added successfully.
· If Bootrec cannot findany lack of facilities of Windows, you must remove the BCD store, and then you must re-create it. To do this, type the following commands in the order shown below: (remember to press ENTER after each command)
bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup
Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old
Bootrec /rebuildbcdi. restart the computer.
Hello! I got a Dell Inspiron MXC061 Windows Vista Home Premium laptop and recently, I figured out that the micro does not work... If I plug headphones the headphone is ok, but the MIC does not work... I already tried to use the headset in the other pc and it works well, so is not the break-in cover that has a problem... and I tried to check and adjust the microphone on the check of its menu - recording - microphone/line (Sigmatel High Definition Audio CODEC)--> is the only player that is on the menu for registration and it says work... I have already also check the properties - levels are already up... but when I try to set up and go to the speech recognition he can't hear me when I try to talk... I don't see the moving bar or the micro displacement level while I am speaking... If the microphone does not work Green right move?... I don't know if it is vista, taken mic or perhaps incompatible things... or do I need to install another driver?... is it possible?... I really can't understand... someone can help me on this!...
