  • WMP 12 plays 2 songs at the same time. If a piece is played and I spend almost another song, the second song starts to play and the first

A frustrating problem with wmp on my new laptop of ASIS Windows 7. During playback of an mp3 file, if I hover near a second file, the second file starts to play in the first.

The system is used for dance classes, and I need to have the ability to choose a second track spontaneously.

This does not happen with the previous version of wmp (11).

The problem would be the touchpad on the laptop?

    Hi Charles,

The description of the problem, it looks like Windows Media Player plays 2 different songs at the same time when hover near a second file in Windows Media Player.

You can run the troubleshooting Windows Media Player Settings Troubleshooter & check if the problem persists.

  • Firefox 16.0.1, videos youtube freeze after 2 seconds. FF injuries.

Videos YouTube freeze after that 2 seconds... audio game continues for 5 seconds on it. The whole browser stops responding and I have to ctrl + alt + delete at the process level to close FF16.

After that I uninstalled my customized version, so BONE STOCK FF16 is miss you, this is a new installation. I tried the current version flash 11.4 and 11.2 flash version to get my problem is solved.

NO ID CRASH. No formal don't crash in itself, just a browser totally unresponsive.

By the way... Chrome works youtube without incident. WTF.

In addition, this problem does not exist on my installation of Waterfox... a variant of 64 free bits of 15 FF. Maybe I have a sort of x 64 issue. I think that maybe that's the problem with the standard 32-bit version of FF16. Ask me again why this happened in the first place.

I run McAfee OAS Business Class A / V, never had a virus or something in 4 years.

SOLVED. Watefox is the only way it seems. Needs of Firefox to fix this flash on its own it seems.

  • Audio book takes 10-15 seconds to start

When I scroll forward or backward, it takes 10-15 seconds for the audio book to start.  He used to take a few seconds.

This happens if your drive is formatted with small groups (which Windows XP will do).

Try to reformat using the command Format of devices and charge books.

  • Flash videos (youtube and vimeo, incorporate or not) do not play even if the controls indicate that playback is in progress.

As YouTube and Vimeo 41.0 videos do not play even if the video controls show that reading is current. True to embed, Facebook and YouTube pages. On Youtube, video will buffer to 100% but will not play again. First frame of the video is visible at a time, but remains a fixed image. FlashBlock is installed but disabled.

On YouTube, if you click on the pause button, and then click the play button, the video then play? (I have not checked on Vimeo yet.)

If so, you can have the autoplay disabled HTML5 videos. From 41 of Firefox, it's more effective than in previous versions because reading is blocked, but there is the strange display of the pause key and the buffer file.

    To check this setting:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the media and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) if the preference media.autoplay.enabled is in bold and 'game of the user' to false, you can double-click it to restore the default value true and see if that fixes it

  • T450s startup takes 35 seconds before displaying the splash screen. (wake up 11sec)

    The following are my problems:

    1. when starting the machine, it takes about 35 seconds before the first activity screen (screen of Lenovo). After that, it starts normal.
    2. when waking off mode 'sleep', it takes 11 seconds before I see directed power stop to 'breathe' and wake up the screen.

It feels like it is a hardware/bios on the issue, as (so far I know) hdd/ssd is accessible only after the bios has loaded and completed its audits of material. When you paste into a bootable usb it starts only flicker after the bios was loaded on the screen.

    Question:
Anyone have an idea why my laptop waiting so long to start or wake? I don't mind wait a bit, but in 35 seconds + startup time normal is really boring. Especially with the fact that the laptop shows no sign of life for 35 seconds after ignition briefly the backlight on the keyboard. Alarm delay is also very annoying since even my 7 year old laptop BSOD to wake up faster, and I use a lot "sleep" mode.

    Some origins I think about:
-Verification of the material during the initial start-up of equipment does not yet recognize a dedicated GPU card. (POST: Power On Self Test)
-I don't think it's a problem with my software because the problems occurs before any media playback.

    I already tried things:
    -Reset the bios.
    -Start in legacy mode.
    -Update the bios
-rebuild MBR (although I think that's the problem.)
(- Refreshing installation of windows, even if I do not expect that's the problem.)

This problem was already at the beginning (with origenal material):
From the first time I started the laptop (with HARD drive), I noticed that it took a long time to start. I remember repeatedly pressing the button ON / OFF and think I did something wrong, when all of a sudden the 'Lenovo' screen appears.

I hope someone can help me!

    My problems were solved!

An engineer contacted me that they received a mainboard replacement and they wanted to make an appointment. I gave them the address where I worked the next day because I'm very mobile, and an engineer came by the next day. It appeared to be a qualified IBM engineer and test my machine and came to the same conclusion as me. He then did some tests to see if the problem was caused by something else, then the motherboard but eventually replace my motherboard with good care.

After the replacement of the startup time and wake up was normal as it should be. I'm very happy with the service that Lenovo ThinkPad gave me.

I have to add that when I called for the support that I got someone on the line who couldn't really understand me, neighter, Dutch or English. But it was also duo a bad connection, it seemed to me... But after that call I really didn't expect that it would come to a good end. I then really suppriced isn't 5 days later a Dutch engineer Chief called me for an appointment.

  • Video Flash on a web page takes a long time to load before starting playback

I just create a standard file to flash to play a video on my web page and it takes several minutes to load before starting playback.

I use progressive downlaod and the file is in MOV format and is 84MB in size. Initially, that seemed big to me for web playback, but I thought he could handle because I thought how progressive download is that she start playing the first image immediately and play gradually other frames as they download. However, this seems to be downloading all folder first (or a significant part of it) before you start any reading at all.

Y at - it some sort of setting I am missing or is my incorrect understanding of the download and the file size is too large?

    Vital signs:

    -J' using Flash Pro CS5

-To create my flash file, I used the video wizard block import and selected a file that is "on my computer" and 'load external video with playback component' and then I chose one of the standard skins.

-To deploy the vidoe on my site, I have three files:

    (1) swf file containing the FLV component

    (2) the swf file, for skin

    (3) the actual video (84 MB, mov file)

-Web page includes / includes reference to the swf file

As the video is a QuickTime .mov file, the problem is probably that the MOOV atom is at the end of the file. It is an index file that contains a measure of the size of the file is. Given that this index file is at the end, the entire file must download before the player can say what the file size is compared to how much is already downloaded.

Use a program like Index Swapper to move the index file at the beginning of the video file:

  • Videos YouTube refreshing automatically after 3-5 seconds. The quality of resolution options also disappear when it arrives. What is the cause?

After having clicked on a youtube video, it will play for 3 to 5 seconds. Then the video will refresh (not the entire site). The device that allows to change the quality will always be there, but when I click on it, all the quality options disappear. Then the video plays well, but I'm stuck it watch in 480 p. It happens not on chrome or even when I play a youtube video in a private window! It started to happen about a week ago and it gets really annoying to watch 480 p videos and listen to the first few seconds 3 to 5 of each video twice.

    Hello Maria,.

Did you ever end up installing Silverlight or Flash?
You can download and install the latest versions of both these sites:
  • Firefox takes about 20 to 45 seconds to start?

OK, I have (just useful for me) extensions and firefox takes at least 20 to 45 seconds to start, I tried the preloader and it did not show a difference! Help, please!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You must close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

Have you checked the volume mixer; reinstalled Flash; system reboot; Firefox restarted with the new profile, disabled modules and allowed the cookies/cache.
