• VMware VDI vs VMware View Horizon?

  Hi all

  This should be easy for you, the gurus of VMware

  I have a requirement to expand a network of a single
  location central out for a large company and I am looking to use Thin
  Customers in the new corporate reach in a VMware VDI environment offices
  in the center of data centralized where we already have a full blown 5 of Vsphere
  environment for our servers.

  I was originally looking for VMware VDI via VDA (http://download3.vmware.com/demos/vdi/)
  and was sold on the idea that it would be a good choice given the WAN
  traffic to the Thin Client workstations based on RDP/PCoIP and so
  not particularly heavy.

  However since then looked back to VMWare View and this
  seeks to do the same thing that the VDI put in place and seems to have much more
  information about this.

  I first thought that VMware View Horizon set caching of desktop
  locally (as for a profile of the end user on the WAN) has no sound
  too good to the traffic congestion, etc. so I rejected directly at the exit!

  Can someone tell me if the VDI via the VDA solution has been replaced
  VMware View Horizon? And if so point me a definitive guide for VMware View

  3.) after full opening of the page "right-click" then you can see the source view of the page, click on it to see the Source of the page.

• How many licenses do I take to view Horizon?

  I'm under VMWare View Horizon 5.3.1 generation-1634134.  How can I find out how many licenses I am registered?  I have a license code for a pack of 20 that I also have to add to the server, but would like to visually see how I have before and after I add the package of 20.  I also need to know where to add the license code for the new pack of 20.  I went to the product licensing VMWare Horizon administrator view, view Configuration and usage, change license, then entered the new code, but I get an error message of ' license data could not be obtained for this type of product ", so I don't know if it is when I enter the code or if I should add it elsewhere.  Ideas?

  View just wants to that you have a valid license and does no checking to verify if you are over your concurrent limit.    If you want to enter an additional license, you would edit license screen, but you wouldn't need to do if you need to unlock additional features.

• View horizon 6 HTML error

  I have a Horizon view 6 Server configuration with my RDS Server. I have a pool of offices (has one office in 2012 R2 inside) and a pool installation (just a few test like calc, wordpad and Notepad applications) Application. I gave my own account access (or right) both of these pools.

  When I connect to the display server using the VMware Horizon 6.0.1 client I can see my desktop and applications and when I run them, they launch successfully.

  The problem I have is when I try to do the same thing using access HTML (Firefox/Chrome) I get the following error:

  "You can not access your applications or desktops on the web client. "Please install the VMware Client of Horizon, version 3.0 or later."

  
  

  How can I access my computer from desktop/pools since a web browser?

  Is there some kind of limitation of access to these types of pools from a browser? I am running 6.0.1.

  The error message is correct, it is not supported to access the application with HTML-Access Pools. You must use the Client of the Horizon to do.

  The reason is that hosted Applications not using PCoIP (at the moment) and does not use access HTML (Blast).

• Completely remove sdconf.rec connection server VMware view Horizon 6

  Greetings,

  I want to completely remove the sdconf.rec file downloaded from my connection to the server VMWare View Horizon 6.0.1. In previous versions, it was that I had to delete the Sdconf.Rec of C:\Windows\System32 and set the attribute to EAP-SecureIDConf under CN = < servername >, OU = server, OU = propriΘtΘs, DC = vdi, DC = VMWare, DC = int '0' but this attribute does not exist in version 6!

  Just deleting the Sdconf.REC file does not work, after doing that (even after a reboot) it always says "a Sdconf.REC file has been downloaded" when I check the settings of the connection to the server.

  Does anyone know how to delete this file in version 6? I'm this close just removed the server connection and security together and do a complete reinstall.

  This should be OK. What you did is invalidated the sdconf.rec file. It probably will always exist, but watch to see if it has been invalidated. that is, it should now be much smaller than your original and so not usable, which I think is what you wanted to achieve.

  If you want to just disable the RSA SecurID authentication, which can be made in view administrator.

  Please confirm.

  The "Local Mode" function is no more than 6 of the Horizon and this is why the transferserver is no longer an option.

  If you need to use the Mode you use 5.3.x skyline view.

As far as we know, Cisco edge expressway and highway-core are required for Cisco devices is registered to the CUCM. However, we wonder if the third-party SIP clients in the Internet can join CUCM via Highway-core and Highway? After Google search, could not find a clear answer to this question.   MRA does NOT with any 3rd party (SIP or H.323) device, endpoints only Cisco working with ARM.

  Deepak is just saying that internally, you can register as a VCS - C (and the trunk then to CUCM), and in fact, if they are SIP, x8.8 also allows recording on EXP - C, once again, internally NOT on ARM.

  You say you already save those of CUCM internally, there is even no need registration VCS - C.
