  View VMware point of view I don't think it would affect it.  All you have to do is to enter a valid license key and your then on the system of honor as well as concurrent users.  You can easily enter your premier license key to activate the related clones and workstations for the environment all offline.  You will need to put in place so that no business option has access to the linked clone pools, thinapp or jobs in offline mode.

• Horizon view license constraints

  I was invited to ask a question about the limitations of the license mode by our office team and what they are allowed to run. Currently we have the following licenses:

  vCenter Server	vCenter Server Standard 6 for Horizon
  See connection to the server	Horizon 6 Standard view
  ESXi hosts	vSphere 6 for desktop PC

  They run an environment seen horizon with desktops VDI running Windows 7 on a cluster of blades ESXi.

  They would like to add a new cluster ESXi on which run Windows 7 virtual machines that are not part of the view of the Horizon / VDI, under the same instance of vCenter. These virtual machines is designed to test applications package for SCCM.

  My understanding is that this is not allowed and they would need an instance separate vCenter to manage this cluster of ESXi and VMs. We have spare parts, Enterprise Plus licenses that could be classified in the new cluster ESXi, but I suspect that he could still not run the instance of vCenter "vCenter Server 6 Standard for Horizon".

  Can someone clarify the on the issue? I was unable to find the official wording of VMware on what is / is not allowed.

  Horizon suite comes with VMware Workstation, which can be used for packing.

  In a virtual office environment Horizon, vSphere Desktop can be used to power the virtual desktop, as well as the underlying infrastructure for the VDI environment. Include the connection to the server, server security, active directory, tracking tools and other infrastructure directly related to and exclusive to the VDI environment. Storage servers, for example, would not be included.

  Is it possible to run a view environment 6.0 with a key Standard and Enterprise?  From what I can see that you can enter 1 key.

  We are interested in the use of a standard for the majority of our users license and then use an enterprise license for a small subset of users for RDS access.

  As you have noted, it will accept only a key.   You will need to you enter the key license Enterprise and then equip the checks to make sure that you do not exceed your number of allowed licenses.

  The left column represents the current active connections, so you currently have two people connected on linked clone machines.    The right column represents the number of simultaneous high session you had, that would be 9.

• Number of licenses of view

  We started with 10 licenses of company Horizon view, and later, we bought another pack of 10 users. We have license concurrent users.

  In the display console, I can only enter a license key. The console shows that we are allowed, but does not show for the number of users. How to view licensing works technically? All I see is the use.

  The license key only unlocks functionality and does not govern the number of users.

  You don't need to enter the new license key anywhere, just to keep them safe in case you need to prove that you have the required number of licenses for your users.

• VSphere license and view question

  I am confused with some of the licenseing I. Go to the portal I have a few new licenses that have been purchased but I was unable to get a good understanding on what the finctionality has each license.

  My concern is the following two licenses.

  1 virtual Center 4 standard for view - what is this turn? It seems that the only view was through the connection to the license server. So I added my view licenses 4 Ent and the Prime Minister in the connection to the server. What is the right way?

  You have purchased licenses for ESX and vCenter just for the placement of virtual machines that will be connected using VMware View. Will have the same features as the standard version of vSphere, but you will have a number of VM and not licensed per processor. • Update license key OEM for vmware fusion

  I'm moving from a windows7 (64-bit Home Premium) to a Mac Book. I want to import my old PC as a virtual machine using VMware fusion.

  I am trying to determine what is necessary from the point of view license.

  The original license is OEM so I think that it may have an update - is just a case of getting a new license key?

  A few years ago, we have invested in vSphere Standard license, then thereafter, additional license with a View first add-on vSphere

  Support for vSphere Standard license has expired about 4 years ago

  Support for the package to view expired 18 months ago

  We are examining our options to upgrade to the latest packages (ESXi 6 & Horizon)

  One solution is to pay the costs of recovery, another option is to purchase new licenses and renounce our initial investment in what license is left behind as well.

  We have been informed by a dealer who:

  • We cannot buy the Kit essential Plus, because we already have Standard licenses

  and that

  • (Even if there is no Standard licenses) would have not allowed us to buy essential kit more than once - that is you can only buy it once, as a new customer, and if you want to subsequently scale up to more than 3 guests, you must go to Standard license rather than buying an additional kit for EP.

  Can anyone confirm that these points are fair?

  I'd also be interested to know if we are prevented from restoring our view licenses unless we also restore licenses vSphere that was bought next to her.

  You can buy essential kit more without any restrictions

  The restriction mentioned by our dealer was just regarding the functional limitations to do so (for example, being not able to vMotion invited through various EP groups; vCenter limitations in terms of number of hosts managed etc etc).

  Here, no purchase restriction not based on existing licenses, nor is there a limit to how many amounts of the EP kit you can buy.
