• DW acting strange - does code view

  My Dreamweaver CS3 started acting strangely since I've upgraded to a new version of CS3 studio.
  I worked with CS3 for a while now without needing too much adjustment of DW8.
  However, I just bought a new computer and I had to reinstall all my software.
  
  
  On the new box, DW is very strange:
  
  (1) when I'm in page layout mode and click on an item to go to the corresponding line of the code of the item that is no longer, it goes to the line. However, it does when I right click on it. It's a bit embarrassing because it also opens the context menu at the same time.
  
  (2) when I'm in mode code (which is 99% of the time) and I click on an item, it shows me is no longer the corresponding CSS rule in the CSS pane. Once again, if I click right sometiomes it works, but it is not reliable in any event. Sometimes it works if I double click, but most of the time it isn't.
  
  
  (3) the icon of comment in the toolbar code is often dimmed. No reason so that I can see and every so often he work wil on the same line of code where it did not a minute before.
  
  I've raked the preferences line by line, without success.
  On my old computer I never had problems like that. I find it very strange and it's crimping considerably my workflow. Did someone knowing theis behavior or how to fix it?

• Keyboard started acting strange on my laptop satellite

  I have Toshiba Satellite and its working fine, but recently my keyboard started acting strange (he has a period). I play NFS undercover (Bioshok, GTA) and keyboard works fine, but when I m playing WarCraft 3 Frozen Throne I have a terrible lag (0.5 ~ 1.5 sec).
  Please help me.

It was very irritating at this point and I was not able to find anything that helps anywhere else. I tried to restart my computer earlier, but without success.

  This kind of behavior is usually the first sign of a faulty keyboard.  Try another keyboard plugged into a USB port to check.

  If yours is a desktop computer, replace the keyboard.  Certainly simple and cheap

  If yours is a laptop, you will need the services of a competent technician with the RIGHT part.  Beware, there are several laptop keyboard parts which are similar, but not the right ones.  This will probably cost you more than $100.  You should consider a solution much easier and less costly - buy and use an external keyboard.

  You can do that in the Data Modeler.

  Your options are:

  (1) tables used to display definitions are listed on the bottom to see the presentation on the diagram

  (2) you can create a subview with objects used by using "Create subview with related objects" in the context menu to view the diagram

  (3) If you need lines then you can open Report Builder query of the view dialog box and can organize the diagram there

  Views materialized hold the data and updated periodically based on the definition of the query.
  view otherside is virtual and executes the query definition whenever they are available.

  We use Oracle 10.2.0.5.
  
  I've noticed some strange things for a couple of materialized views:
  
  If I query object like this:

  select * from all_objects where object_type = 'MATERIALIZED VIEW' and status='INVALID'

  then some records are returned. However, queries on these materialized views are still functioning.
  
  When I do:

  select compile_state from all_mviews;

  the compile_state for these materialized views is "NEEDS_COMPILE".
  Manually compiling these works very well, but why they become invalid in the first place? And why do queries on these still work even if their status is INVALID? Oracle should not compile them on first run?

• keyboard acting strange from time to time

  I don't know if this was due to the recent update of microsoft, but at least the problem started occurring after that I installed the latest patch for windows 7 (Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB980182)).

  My keyboard works as usual, but sometimes the keyboard starts acting very strange, typing letters on its own or does not at all or even be stuck in letters. For example, if im playing a game or by typing all of a sudden the keyboard starts to type ' | '. 5' and stuff like that I know that I press.

  IM using a HP HDX16-eo, updated 1300 all useful drivers from their homepage as well.

  Everyone knows that before or after the last update? I couldn't find anything about it.

  I reinstalled the operating system today and the problem is still there, I don't know how to solve this problem, I'm guessing that the hardware is damaged and I have to send in for repair?

  Looking for any advice on the best options...

  My client is running 11 g XE for a fairly small type of finance application...  It everything works fine except for a number of reports of overall budget executed on-demand by senior management.   The problem is that reports aggregate budget information for the entire year based on summarizing information from about 3 main tables (containing between 100 k and 500 k records each) and a number of smaller tables of reference.    Its takes 5-10 minutes to run...  They expect the information immediately.

  I thought that creating materialized views for these reports would be a great solution, however, it seems that the creation of materialized views is not supported on XE? I can't create anything without a view log, and view log replication advanced needs...  I think that the progress of replication are only in Enterprise Edition? (can you create effective materialized views in standard edition? I might be able to convince the customer to upgrade...)

  So Im a little stuck...  The alternative in theory, would be some sort of solution based trigger handmade, or refresh work based, but it assumes quite awkward to put together compared to... also materialized views, I need to ensure that the data are pretty up to date at any time in time...

  The other factor that may be relevant is that a significant amount of information is probably the dormant months. i.e. most data changes occur in the current month, and contains all the previous months generally static information... She still need to aggregate the information, but database by previous months have changed...    (not sure if or how this could help or affect any particular solution..)

  Ideas, or input would be much appreciated...

  I'm trying to replicate ABC table in the database of D2 using dblink.

  So, I tried to create Materialized View ABCMV of database D2 using the dblink. But cannot create because of the CLOB data type.

  Yes, thought of creating discovered first in database D1 and then create Materialized View in the database D2.

  But, the problem is that if I do, then the materialized view cannot be "refresh quickly" because he has materialized view log. Now, as this materialized view is supposed to rest on the view to D1, where and how can I create materialized view log.

  Adding a MV rewrite does not alter the raw performance of a cube. The only reason to add - it is if you want to write your SQL queries against relational base tables and the database have rewrite your queries on the cube. If you are able to query the views of cube directly, so there is no particular advantage to a rewrite MV.

  Adding a refresh only MV has benefits even if your queries using views of cube. A refresh only MV following the lapse of the cube and allows you to run updates of 'fast', which can be useful if you are only changing a handful of lines in your fact table.

• Excluding views materialized to a data pump export

  settings file. The materialized view is not exported, but the table associated with the view is always exported. Does anyone know how to remove those?

  You will need to specify the tables in the exclude parameter.

  EXCLUDE the = MATERIALIZED_VIEW would not exclude the paintings of masters associates.

  In a single parameter EXCLUDE specify:
  EXCLUDE THE = MATERIALIZED_VIEW, TABLE: IN "('EMP', 'DÉPARTEMENT')" "

  Basically, I am trying to extract the data to a different database using the materialized view. For a particular column, the length of the source table is 56 and I am creating the MView based on this table. Thus the length in the MVIEW is also 56 for this column. But when I try to refresh the Mview I get the error message too large value.
  
  Why is it abnormal behavior and is there a work around for this.
