  Unfortunately no, but a solution could be to hide the sidebar.

• Impossible to disable the column "Preview" in the Finder Windows

  Before that I describe this problem, I just want to clarify that I have configured Finder to always open folders in a new window, and while some of my files are put into mode icon that the majority is set to display in the list.

  Following an upgrade to Yosemite to El Capitan, some of my Finder list view windows began to show the column "Preview" on the side of the far right, after the date modified column. I don't like this feature because when none of the folders or items are selected it shows just a ugly "blank" space in the window. So, I quickly discovered that I can disable this "Preview" column by selecting "hide the Preview" in the view menu.

  The problem is that once I chose this, in many of my files change does not stick. After a reboot or a restart, I'll go back to the window and the preview column is again. Sometimes it happens immediately after closing the window and opening it again. The worst culprit is my user folder.

  I tried selecting "Hide Preview" and then enter the display options and set as the default view for all Finder Windows, but this makes no difference.

  Anyone know how to disable the overview at all times column in all the windows in the Finder?

  You cannot use oracle sequences directly in the query that is connected with other queries using Union or INTERSECT or less cluses.

  For some reason any CC and CS6 I can't drag files from the Finder (Mac OS x Explorer) in design mode (for example: adding images to a table cell), the Browse button doesn't work properly or the other... The 'Find a file' button only works if there is an image already and then it will update the image, or if there is no image in the table cell, it will bring up the dialog box browse, but does nothing if I select a file and press 'open '.

  Is there a setting that was introduced in the CS 6 which affects this behavior?

  @Jdawg - we have seen that the Drag and Drop does not work on 10.9. We're investigating this issue. As NAncy mentioned, I too suggest using the Insert panel until the fix for this issue is available

  I'm looking for a way to customize the information displayed in the tab preview Finders or in the Display Options for the Finder.

  I deal with a lot of video files (about 6 TB) and I'd LOVE a way to get the Finder displays which Codec to use the files. Cmd + i to see this info in the section of the Finder's ' Get Info', you can, if the information is already there and Finder is reading. I would like a way to add a custom column for the options that says "Codec" or to have that information appear in preview just beside where the resolution of the video are already displayed. Y at - it a third-party application that would make this integration in Finder? Or y at - it a script that can be written in the code of the OS to add these fields? I have 3rd party apps that can display this record in the batch lists, but I use just Finder (a step less) especially since the Finder already stores this info, I want just a way to put these data out in front where I have to cmd + i to dig for it.

  In the RMAN discovered RC_BACKUP_SET repository you will find by database the most recent backup time (NEWEST_BACKUP_TIME column), if calaog is used.
  If a database is not backupped using the catalog that no new entry will be added to this view. For example, if the target is a database in the repository of the MA, but has no recent entry in RC_BACKUP_SET (sysdate-2 or something like that) the backup fails either or the backup was made do not help catalog.   I have 3 views of the end user, and they all 2 underlying objects in common (1 table, 1 review).

  Is there a way to allow end users to bring together these 3 points of view while limiting the number of times that the underlying objects are accessible? Ideally, Oracle would have access every underlying object only once by request of the end user, even if all 3 views are used in the query. Oracle is hitting the underlying objects once by the sight of the end user in the query.
  
  In addition, the underlying view (b) cannot be converted to a materialized view because of the size of the data obtained.

  The general with this kind of structure problem of the view, it is essentially impossible to the optimizer to know that this table should only be consulted once because the logic in any particular view could exclude a line that another view would return or could cause a single row of has to join several lines in table B. It is generally not possible for the optimizer determine that a query that joins A table in three different views could be rewritten to have a single reference to a rather than an intentional 3-way table A self-join.

  You will find many people who complain the performance of queries that use views not because the views improve intrinsically, but because someone has designed a very generic view layer and apparently simple queries join now to a bunch of tables, they don't really need to get the columns are not referencing or perform some other inexpensive filter which is not really necessary.

  If performance is a problem, you could change the view layer so that users do not have to join three distinct views of which attached to the same table? Or you could allow users to reach the underlying tables for queries that require higher levels of performance?
