Yosemite stuck in a single column, view column for the finder discovers all files

I use Yosemite on a MacBook Air and I am an old user of Mac since 1989. Today, I can not go single column, all files display even if the menu or the icon indicates that I should see display multi-column.   Y at - it a known bug, or a way to reset this?  Thank you.

It is normally enough to 'reset ':

Apple-> Forcequit menu: relaunch the Finder.

If this does not help:

Restart the mac in shift: starts in mode safe, slow, connection; When logged in, restart normally.

    I need it to compare to another data base for all these values.

    I would like to make a wild guess at what you are getting.

    In view of these two tables

    create table emp
       (empid number,
        empname varchar2(15),
        empaddr   varchar2(15),
        sys_creation_date date);
    --
    create table dept
       (deptid number,
        deptmgr varchar2(10),
        sys_creation_date date);

    you want to combine somehow

    select empid,
             empname,
             empaddr
    from emp;

    with

    select deptid,
             deptmgr
    from dept;

  • View of the column in the Finder

    OK, so I've had this problem before, but it sets out of himself, do not know how, but it just resurfaced again.  Normally, for the column, you can drag the width of the columns and make as wide or narrow as you want.  However, the mine at that time the bar doubled with the cursor instead of simple lines... and I can't adjust the columns...  Don't know what it is or how it goes.  Not sure if I am fairly clear in my description, but I add a page to help.

    Does anyone else have this and no idea how to change this?  I can't find anything in the Prefs or display Options or anywhere else.  I had to restart Finder in the Force Quit Applications window, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.  Have also restarted my MBP as well.  I had posted a discussion about this before and can't remember if someone did or not, but I'm not.

    Thanks for your replies.

    Manfred Hi, I saw this behaviour a couple of times.

    Go to your 'Go' menu Finder, hold the option key and choose the library. Then go to the preferences and trash folder these files:

    com Apple.Finder.plist

    com Apple.sidebarlists.plist

    Then, restart or log in and again.

    (You will have to reset some finder prefs the way you like them).

    Prashant,

    You must assign new values to null values. You can use a sequence to produce the figures in this column.

    Select max (your_unique_column) from your_table; -find the maximum value of this column, so you can start the sequence of this number.

    create sequence seq_for_your_table with XXXX - value max + 1 you have found

    Update your_table set your_unique_column = seq_for_your_table.nextval () where your_unique_column is null

    You can create a primary key on this column.

  • Use the 2nd column for the label data

    This should be easy. Online help for the numbers shows an example under Add graphics > adjust figure brands and labels.  My table is a simple 2-d column chart. In a single column, I have the weight in pounds, and in the second column, I have a date. When I have only the weight column selected in the form of data, I get a graph that is almost perfect, but there is no date label. When I try to include date data, I have a reverse relationship X and Y. Once I selected a cell as reference data, it doesn't have any way to deselect. What I want to do is chart weight against date and have the date appear as a label.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Hi innerserenity,

    I swapped the order of the columns. Column A is a column header.

  • Default value of width of column in the finder

    For Finder column, the column in a new window widths are often too narrow and I have to resize to display the full name of each file.  is there a way to change the default column width?

    Unfortunately no, but a solution could be to hide the sidebar.

    Go to the Finder menu bar, click View > hide sidebar, or you can use the Option + command + S shortcut keyboard.

    Bookmarks always appear in a single column. As I have a lot you have to scroll to see all.

    How can I set bookmarks in several columns so that I can see them all at the same time.

    You can use the above. The Bookmark Manager works just like the

    your list in these files. In addition, when you open the Manager, it
    a search box is at the top right.

    As far as I know, which cannot be done. I saw someone post a way to maintain the desired column width.

    Send feedback to Apple. They will not respond, but at least will know that there is a problem or a suggestion for improvement. If enough people send feedback, it can get change / suggested the problem solved as soon as possible.

    Roudier,
    You can determine the format of date by yourself.
    in your entity object select the attribute, click on edit, go to the control indicators, the Format type, select Date Simple
    and in the format field, you can enter the format you need
