• SkyDrive displays blank thumbnails of photos. No problem in IE8

  Uploaded many photos on Skydrive. When I go into my Hotmail account I can't display an any of them - filenames are displayed, but not thumbnails. If I do the same thing with IE8, they appear without problem. Seems to be a FF issue but have tried all obvious checks on parameters etc.

  Microsoft just wiped it and then reinstalled win 8.1. I loaded Lightroom 5 and see only the blank thumbnails. If I click on a photo I can see what is under the gray, but when I click on another inch the previous photo becomes grey and I see the current image. Of course, I'm in the middle of a huge delay. I did remove LR and reinstall a second time but no improvement. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  I think more transparent method woud be to add a DA on P1_Y:

  Event: change

  Selection type: product (s)

  Product (s): P1_Y

  Condition: equals

  Value: 1

  Then add real action: disable LOV, fire the loading of the Page = Yes (if necessary add also a false action accordingly).

In addition, please add your vote and opinion for the bug report. even though Adobe has acknowledged the problem, they can't fix it immediately.   Just for clarity, the strict answer to your question is 'no': you can't just Lightroom for the same price as the bundle Lr/Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC).

  You can buy a stand-alone license for Lightroom only - that's what Don and Elijah helped you to find - but the terms of pricing (and licenses) are entirely different from those that make up the whole of the CC.

  Also note, it is likely that Lightroom 6 will come before long (although how long is not known): almost certainly, you will pay for the upgrade to Lr 6 If you are on a stand-alone license, then just 5 to 6 (7 and to...) is included in the price of the set.

  Nothing to worry about. It's the same for everybody and it's normal.

  Lightroom does not follow the version numbering (again) Cloud. She always had her own version numbering.

  When the cloud came out, there was no included Lightroom.

  Added Adobe Lightroom to the cloud later but never added CC to the numbering. So yet another layer of confusion has been added to the management software Cloud versions.

  There are now two separate versions of Lightroom:

  • 5.6 Lightroom (perpetual license, does not include Lightroom Mobile)
  • 5.6 Lightroom (a cloud which includes Lightroom Mobile)
