  If you look in Event Viewer, there are alarms sent by packetd but also by the postofficed (traffic ai, road upwards...). Is it possible to define an event rule for the event postofficed (like sending an email?)

• listening in the main application for event from custom component

  I have a component that custom im using an identifier.  I watch videos and tutorials on how to pass variables between applications and custom components. the problem im having is that tutorials or explanation you put the event on the custom component and then it refers to a function in the main application.

  Is a fair way to listen on the main application at the event begins? Ive been tempting for hours and I know there must be something im missing may not be so difficult. any help, I would be really grateful.

  The following example has been done as a simple demonstration of States, but the connection (state1) component, is a simple custom event which is sent by the ok button on the connection, the event could be extended to transfer the information to connect to the main application, in this case because the login screen is always public vars or fields of the box would be available for the main application anyway.

  This is the second time this month, I was prompted to add an event or an option to subscribe to an event and pay using BC. Since there is no build-in module for it and I'm not a developer can you explain or direct me to a place where I can find samples or tutorials how to develop it?

  Basically, I need

  1. the list of events with a button to book (availability will be good to have).

  2 sign up, add credit card details and pay.

  3. connect to the gateway and return the payment confirmation / error.

  4. the customer will receive a confirmation email with the details of the event.

  5. the customer details are stored in the CRM database.

  This is more or less.

  One entry warning, error or information in your event log do not "mess up your computer", but it takes place and so continually underway, makes it harder to see the other topics.  So also fills the space of Event Viewer so that the replacement of the older entries occurs earlier than she is otherwise perhaps - but in general there is a lot of space so fixed at default levels.  Incomplete newspapers in the example you used are also too much space, but it's better another question, addressed through the support of Google Earth web site or forums.

  You cannot remove specific entries from logs in the event viewer, but you can filter the events.  As I don't know what OS you use, I'll provide procedures for XP, Vista and W7.

  To completely clear the event logs, follow these instructions (but it's the whole journal, not only an entry application or event - so I don't think that's what you want): http://www.ehow.com/how_5886147_delete-entries-windows-event-log.html.

  How to delete a specific entry from the event logs: http://www.ehow.com/how_6039004_remove-entry-event-viewer.html.  NOTE: I am note quite sure this removes only the entries that were held (does so must it be restored) or prevents also any future entries like this - so be careful before to do this and make sure that you are aware of the possible consequences (see again this entry).  A possible workaround might be to first copy the entry elsewhere, delete it the registry then, restore the entry in the registry and who can delete past events but allowed future events always appear (or it can restore once restored previous events and so unnecessary - I am not sure).  Before you do, if you do, don't forget to back up the registry (the section you are working on the use: the entire thing using http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htmor http://support.microsoft.com/kb/136393 ) and I would also create a system restore point just to be safe.  , But before I did (which I think is unnecessary and just a little risky), I would use the above filter process.

• Media Player does not open - blame MSVCR80.dll Event Viewer

  Oddly enough, when my non administrator user is connected, Media Player works fine, but as an administrator, it does not open when you try to read on Microsoft.com .wmv files.  It will open and play my videos sample if.

• Event Viewer displays customized with source Wininit

  Hello Microsoft experts.

  After trying to create a view custom in the event viewer, one with the 'Wininit' source, in order to capture all the events, I noticed that even though the view is created successfully, it brings no results (i.e. empty) (Windows 7 64 bit with SP1 operating system). Think that the application log is not registration events Wininit, I tried to add a custom filter in the category 'Application' of events with the source "Wininit. The latter brings multiple results (mainly information and one caveat, I think)). If the events with the "Wininit" source are recorded in the category 'Application '.
  How do you think should I proceed in the future, in order to troubleshoot further? I checked the filesystem with sfc/scannow nothing helps. Also I discovered that when I change the view custom to another source, for example 'Winlogon', the results appear under the view, with the selected source - 'Winlogon' now, to make it work as it should.
  Finally and most importantly, I navigated to my registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Application\Wininit) and saw the differences between the two (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Application\Wininit, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Application\Winlogon) without any ideas on how to proceed.
  I assumed that it could be a matter of rights. So, I checked the security under the branches of two registry settings, and they are the same.
  Now I'm out of ideas, and internet research helps not at all.
  Please indicate something, because reinstalling Windows is not an option. Also, I checked this custom view (with source Wininit) in Windows 7 PCs of others (friends), and it works perfectly. What is the possible problem in my case?

  I get the following error messages in EV, please help to decipher and all the solutions, thank you:

  1 - system shutdown prior to 29/01/13 to 18:14 was not planned.

  2 - the system has rebooted without clearly stop the first. This error can be caused if the system is not responding, crushed, or lost power unexptedly.

  3 session "Microsoft Security customer OOBE" stopped because of the following error: 0xC000000D.

  4 audit events have been abandoned by public transport. 0

  5 - the SNMP Service encountered an error when accessing the registry SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SNMP\Parameters\TrapConfiguration key.

  6 - the computer has restarted after a bugcheck.  The bugcheck was: 0 x 0000000024 (0x9f693698, 0x9f693270, 0x001904fb, 0x8af32c51).  A dump was saved in the: C:\Windows\MEMORY. DMP.  Report ID: 012913-25890-01.

  7 - the print spooler cannot start because the PrinterbusEnumerator could not start.  Error code 0 x 490.   This can happen due to instability of the system or a lack of system resources.

  8 - custom dynamic link libraries are loaded for each application.  The system administrator should review the list of libraries to ensure that they are linked to trusted applications.

  9 - the next (s) start or system start could not load:

  amacpi

  mssmbios

  I am particularly concerned about #8 - libraries of custom applications loading dynamic links...  (doesn't look good)

  I might suggest that your support align more closely the event viewer, since this is a descrept of the activity log, and that it be made possible to COPY the EV, WHO SHE does APPEAR TO BE POSSIBLE CURRENTLY.

  Anyway, your help to clarify and solve these problems is appreciated.

  It is followed by a waterfall has no process under svchost.exe, including the User - Mode Driver Framework. It also seems to turn off Windows Aero, when this happens; I don't know how this is related. All events ID following the svchost.exe error are 7034 or 7031 (service ended unexpectedly).

  Just to avoid the usual jokes "have you tried this yet:

  -All drivers are up to date. I check regularly.
  -Windows 7 is fully updated.
  -I am running Avast! Antivirus.
  -J' I run ScanDisk, Memtest86 + and Windows Memory Diagnostic tool completely (the whole process lasted a total of 24 hours). All tests come back, rated, indicating no material error.

  My system specs are:

  This error seems to happen when I'm out of World of Warcraft. I don't remember seeing this problem while my system is slow or running other programs. I worked on a problem perhaps with the support of Blizzard, but I just want to eliminate my machine and my BONES as possible culprits.

  Any ideas on how to solve this problem are most appreciated.

  You define the fields to be hidden by default. You can add code to show and unlock these fields by the user to enter a password, but it is a very weak control.

  Another approach is to use the ID of system connection. The only place that acrobat/Reader sees this information is in the identity object and to access this object in a form requires a special encoding because when you open a form it is not initializing the application, an event console. or a batch. You will need to add a special user folder script to each special user or all users to be able to access these data in a form. This may require the assistance of your IT support form.

  The folder level script could be:

  You can access the MyLoginID in open a PDF file to get the ID of the connection. You can change the variable name for security reasons.

  Once, there may be some disconnect here but I tried what you said and it works wonderfully for me. I can certainly add another user event to the cluster of user settings. Now, what can happen is that the cluster of user settings is a control while your "user event on" refnum which is in your screenshot is an indicator. LabVIEW should automatically convert to a control (and actually unplug the wire you see) because in a cluster do not have controls and indicators set.
