ViewObject/Application module with 2 different databases-* URGENT *.

Hi all
I need to get the data of two databases for reading different oracle single table in a jspx page.
It is possible to obtain these data using a single VO and his application module.

If this is not the case, what is the way to go about such a scenario. How can I say VO to get data of different databases.

Both are oracle db, but on different machines, different credentials.

No, it is also not possible. However, you can have two modules different app pointing to different databases. EOs / your inside a an appmodule will only be the connection that a single database.

    RMAN will go for it, that's the beauty of RMAN that does not require the intervention of the DBA to power each archivelogs per turn. Just to start the recovery and the next is your controlfile which contain information about your archivelogs sequence. The mechanisim of the application of the archivelogs see this link for details

  • How to run an application associated with 2 different versions of MFC?

    I created an application that generates a DLL with an EXE which refers to several delivered runtime DLLS. The DLL and EXE have been built with VS2012, and the DLL of enforcement delivered have been built with VS2010. When I try to run the application, I get an access violation in WinMain (calling AfxGetThread returns null). Just to check the application, if the supplied runtime DLLs were also built with VS2012, the application runs correctly.

    My goal is to run the application without restoring links there.

    Is it possible to use a manifest configuration, using the file and change references to the VS2010 (made by the runtime DLL) to VS2012, so that the application can be run without the restoration of the links?

    I don't know if the assemblies Microsoft.VS100.MFC and Microsoft.VS100.CRT names are actually valid and also don't know if I can redirect between major versions of VS.

    I was not able to find examples of work. Any help would be useful.

  • Studio EN - is there a work around for the problem of referencing data from a grid with a different connection of DB and # different dimensions?

    I'm making reference to a column in a different grid with a different database connection. I did some searching in the forums, and it seems that it is a known problem with EN Studio. The problem is that if 2 different database connections have different number of dimensions, then the reference will throw an error.

    For example, what I try to do, is below:

    In grid2.column [A], I have the following formula:

    Grid1. Column [A]

    The result is an error.

    The ultimate goal is to have a base of variance formula in the grid between grid1 and grid2, who have connections to different database with a different number of dimensions. Is there a solution to this bug? The example of the basic formula is less to:

    Grid1. Column [A] - grid2.column [A]

    Any help is very appreciated!

    With the help of JDev 11.1.2.3.0.

    I worked to solve this puzzle for a while.  I'm trying to implement a simplified version of the ADF Code corner #42 (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/42-progressbarcolor-169184.pdf)

    The thing is that my 'business ' service is running in my module of the application.  In short, I take 10,000 rows to view object and run through a few different algorithms.  It would be nice to give a report during this operation.  However, as soon as I start my method of request module, my component < af:poll > end, refusing to update the current page.

    I watched a lot of sites tutorials to try to solve this problem.  I try to stay within the limits of the ADF Essentials which means no ADVERTISING, only of the poll.  Here are some of the best references:

    We are finalizing plans to install Automic (software scheduliong formerly UC4) for our suite of retail applications and replace Uc4.

    The process came to know that Automic does not support AL32UTF8 database characterset.

    At this moment we have RMS and UC4 UC4 supports AL32UTF8 and schema for UC4 running on the same database server is inside the RMS database.

    From now on, it is recommended to have a separate database instance on the same server as the RMS database and with a different characterset which is WE8MSWIN1252.

    Is it possible to have 2 instances of database running with different charactersets, one with AL32UTF8 and the other with WE8MSWIN1252. ?

    There are configuration requirements before implementing instances of database?  THS APPWORX (for UC4) schema will be exported (data pump export) and imported into the new database.

    The utility Automic we want to use is not compatible AL32UTF8 and manage only a database of character set WE8MSWIN1252.

    Yes - without any doubt - two databases are independent and have nothing to do with each other.

    You may have - to test the export/import process rigorously. If your source is AL32UTF8 and target is WE8MSWIN1252, data loss may occur for those characters that are in the former, but not the last.

    We currently have two different applications that use Oracle databases.  Current configuration is two different oracle homes dbhome_1, dbhome2 with separate mounting LINUX points containing the Oracle homes and *.dbf files on a single host server.

    Previously, the idea was to set up a second server identical host configured as a 'data guard' for both of these databases.  Now, management wants to implement a cluster of CARS of two nodes, with each node running two databases.  With the Standard edition.

    I only did CARS of high availability and scalability for a single database.  Is it possible to run two completely different databases Oracle on a two-node RAC cluster?  I am inclined to think that they it has divided into

    two clusters RAC to two nodes on four small servers host.  Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated?

    The short answer is Yes... it is possible.  It will work without any problem, as long as you have the resources available to an additional database.

    I am inclined to think that they it has divided into two clusters RAC to two nodes on four small servers host.

    There is another option.  In the past I have two databases on a RAC cluster that has been implemented for reasons of cost of license / (I don't think that this applies to itself, but you will need to check).

    However having seen on separate hosts that you have only potentially interruptions of service on a database if you decide to do something like upgrading from one of the databases and thus upgrade the GI as well.  This would mean interruptions in service for all your databases using the GI.

    You can not do this - but maybe a possibility is to have the VO depend on a variable binding - and pass this variable to a VO to another.

    Also, I have tried to disable the security of the ADF and the request module Tester then works fine but I need to run it with security ADF is turned on. Someone knows how to fix this?

    I understood the question. It seems that I had to remove the library "ADF generic Runtime ' libraries and Classpath of the project of my model parameters. Does anyone know why having this library referenced in your project settings would cause this issue? I also had to delete this reference from the library to a project to generate a web service proxy in the past, it seems to cause a few problems when they are associated with libraries and Classpath for a project or even associated with a library that depends on another library. Can anyone provide any indication regarding the library and why it causes so many problems? You can recreate this issue on demand by adding the library "ADF generic Runtime ' to your template with ADF security project and then activated by running the module of the application by clicking on it and say run.
