  I don't know what the problem at the moment with your laptop, but if it's a problem with the power supply or the battery it can easily lead to a fried motherboard.

  Yes, this extra GPU's in the UltraBay slot on the right side of the laptop.

  You will have to remove the DVD drive (if it is then installed in the Ultrabay slot) and put in the GPU SLI. Replacement is very easy, there are buttons on the back of the laptop to free housing Ultrabay. You then need to configure the GPU in the NVidia settings.   Also, don't forget to buy the 170W power adapter, if you buy any other model of Y510p other than SLI pre-installed.

  I have a 1280 x 720 Samsung TV, I don't know the model exactly.
