Virus arriving by e-mail

Yesterday, I opened an email from a friend, and since I get warnings that appear on the screen - red and those aqua. They give me various codes that my computer is infected with. It now appears on my notification with a security shield _red bar and one an aqua. At this point a screen came who want details and, of course, a credit card only. to register. I have no idea where it comes from or how to get rid of. Icons can be taken out of bar? I spent more time clicking to get rid of the warnings more typing. Very frustrating, please help.

Hey IbuJane

the icons and screen eager to credit card etc. are part of the rogue security program that you have installed which is malware

Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware

http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php

You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill

If this does not work in normal mode only the above work in SafeMode with networking

Windows Vista

Using the F8 method:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
  3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
  4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
  5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

    3. Can you get any warning of virus for mails? Whicg operating system is installed on the computer?

There is no need to scan email, parts and that is done by all modern anti-malware programs such as files are written to the file system of the PC.

Refer to: How can I tell if my computer has a virus?

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • Virus on our Mac Mail?

Good evening, both my sister, as well with a mac, we received an email from our own accounts containing an attachment document.zip, fear is a virus, is strangely is arrived at the same time, you hear of flaws in the system of Apple security?

Delete the e-mail. Apple security does not check if your incoming emails.

If you fear that your email is compromised, change your password or contact the email provider.

  • Emails sent from thunderbird arrive to spam, very well arrive sent e-mail web host.

I use 1and1 hosting for a provider of e-mail company website and the company. When I send emails to gmail accounts using the 1and1 interface they manage very well, but when I send them using thunderbird they arrive at the level of the junk e-mail folder.

I've confirmed this by sending to several different gmail addresses and company represents several I use in thunderbird. The same as always the case, emails sent to gmail via thunderbird are sent to spam, but those who are sent directly from 1and1 arrive perfectly.

Is there a setting in thunderbird that is causing this problem? I have tried Turing on and outside, anti-spam and antivirus put in mail electronic provider 1and1 but to little effect. Thank you in advance.

When you send via webmail goes directly from 1 & 1 webmail server.
When you send via thunderbird it goes via the smtp server.

It is possible that gmail is down your IP address that sends spam.
Try changing your IP address to test.

The SMTP server associated with the host of your domain, it is possible that the IP of your host (or range of IP addresses) can be on the black list of one or more of the known spam servers, based on other users of the same service.
A search on the web for the blacklist of email server will give you several sites that you can use to determine if your server is on ordinary black lists.

Send via webmail could pass through completely different servers with different IP numbers explaining why these emails are not be marked as spam.

Select e-mail to have it displayed in the messages pane.
Click on "More" and select "view source".
In the headers of messages that have been classified as spam, you can find the header information of spam by the mail scanner which has classified the message as spam, which may help to establish what is mark as spam.

  • BlackBerry 8800 BlackBerry Smartphones is flashing at the arrival of e-mail

I already checked the e-mail settings and "Message indicator new Display" is checked "Yes." Can there be another reason?

    Thank you

    yosoh

"will not blink" suggests to me that you want the LED indicator flashes red to the arrival of a new email, not the notification of homescreen which is controlled by the option 'display a new Message '.

In your profile, scroll down to advanced > highlight your active profile > Menu > change and set the 'messages' or specific e-mail messages to have the notification LED.

Emails sent to the account could be a silent Apple filtering problem, although it is difficult to say.  You say that the email (s) are sent to this account do not appear?  Is that all emails or some emails from a specific source?

Here is the link to the silent filtering - http://www.macworld.com/article/2029570/silent-email-filtering-makes-icloud-an-u nreliable - option.html.  This is an article by 2013, but if you do a search, you will find many and recent reports about it on forums, blogs, etc.

Regarding the other issue you mentioned, i.e. do not receive emails for verification or resets, you can take a look at this - If you don't receive your check or reset email - Apple Support

  • Lose or damage received the content of the e-mail, can see the fault once then apparent on refresh. worm 38.4 on 64-bit Windows8.1 / thank you

Thunderbird worm 38.4/8.1 windows 64 bit
Emails in the Inbox display content on the first reception. During subsequent attempts to display the message content can be completely empty or the contents of another adjacent email in the list. This seems to have started at the time that Norton detected and quarantined a couple of emails with identified the virus attached.
After you run the full system antivirus scan I backed the content of the 789abc987.default of profile to backup taken yesterday. Now new emails coming to see the same problem, so that up to this older email display correctly.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem wise to disable antivirus because in business, even if you wait for an attachment and you know the source, the technical capabilities of the source is not always known.

I suggest to disable antivirus. Indeed, it would be a bad choice.
The point is not to analyze the attachments so that they are still part of the e-mail message.

Some form of holding directory which allow scanning prior to arrival in the mail app would be nice

I don't know what you want to achieve by doing this. Yet once, any malware eventually joined an e-mail won't hurt as long as you do not deliberately open or run the attachment.

Save an attachment to disk and then let it scan by anti-virus would be a good strategy.

  • Apple Mail & IMAP Bell of intermittent problems of connection and synchronization

I had Bell (Canada) mail for years and has implemented the server IMAP end of 2015 but just 2-3 weeks ago I started having problems with my iPhone and Macbook, mailboxes remaining in harmony.

If I delete a message or move it to a folder, it may or may not do on the other device, or on the Web page of @bell.net for mail. He will sometimes move but leave the message as 'read' in the Inbox on other devices.

Also I see mail on the Macbook sometimes happen and then moments later disappear but still be on the phone.

I am also getting intermittent messages:

don't arrive on iPhone6 - mail. The imap.bell.net mail server is not responding. Check that you entered the correct email account information in Mail.

on Macbook using Mac Mail - Server returned the error: connections to the imap.bell.net on the default ports server has expired.

These messages may appear for a few minutes, and then it checks mail very well. Very random and intermittent.

Crazy. I spoke with tech support several times in recent weeks, nothing helps. All the settings are correct and updated test / verified several times. Anyone else having this problem? They seem not to be aware of this...

    Thank you!

I can't open any links that are sent to my email.

    A message box opens:

The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator.  (who's who?)

How can I fix this problem?

It will be a security problem, so probably that your program anti virus, firewall or e-mail is to stop them.
You are the admin if it is your own computer.
Best off asking on a forum which is for your email client - Outlook/outlook express/hotmail etc who will know what to do.

Of course, you can get a virus from an e-mail. This is probably the #1 way or #2 people get infected. More common is when people open an attachment, especially one of someone they don't know. However, you can get infected just by opening the e-mail. As for the infected web sites, this is called a 'drive by' infection

You must ensure that your AV software will analyse incoming emails (as updated).
