  Printer works fine with the office. When you try to print from laptop, black is faded or nonexistent. The colors are sometimes normal and sometimes faded. Are passed through the HP print and scan doctor including updated drivers and the problem still exists. It started when I replaced the black ink cartridge. HP used cartridge, not off the mark. Printer is set up with WiFi connection with a Belkin N600 router. Both computers are HP. Last screen with print and scan doctor says printer has some serious problems.

  You know, even if the printer prints fine on a computer, I can't help but feel that the question has something to do with the printer itself. Let me explain; I wonder if when you print from a computer so the settings are grayscale, so 3 colors would be coming together to create a composite black.

  OfficeJet 4620 - printer keeps going offline.  If I turn it on and turn it on, it's online for a while, but it disconnects again.  My IPad can't print on it. My Windows laptop, 10 shows as offline.  I can open his web page by entering the IP address in a browser and can ping it, but it also shows offline.  It is very annoying to have to reset the printer whenever I want to print to it wireless.  Is this to say that the wireless antenna is going wrong?  Should I buy a new printer?

  I found what caused my problem when troubleshooting the installation of a new printer. I have 2 range Extenders. They had the same ssid as my router. One of the reports of tests of the new printer had a warning about it. I changed the range extenders in order to have all 3 different SSID. Now when the ipad & printer are that both connected using the ssid for the range extender in the room with the printer, there is no problem of ipad impression. My old printer is fine.

  My printer recently started telling me it was in a State of 'error' and could not print my documents.  Sometimes I could turn off the printer market and all that was trying to print would then print, if documents or Quicken checks.  Now I can't print from the computer at all, or it will print checks from Quicken even if I turn the printer power off and power on.  The HP Web site indicates that it is connected.  It is the second computer from HP Officejet 4620 of the original that I bought.  The first has a problem that has been covered by the warranty, and this one doesn't seem to be much better.

• Set Up for HP OfficeJet 4620 prints to fax only

  Try to implement OfficeJet 4620 wireless laptop running Windows 7.  Wireless set in place works.  When a document is printed, a fax page.  Document never print to the printer.  After you set up the printer name is preceded by FAX.  Have deleted the printer and re-installed several times.  Do not see possibility to do something different.  Any help appreciated.

  @GuyNameDavid, sorry that you experience this problem with setting up a default printer.

  Try uninstalling and reinstalling the software and drivers. Do you still have the CD?

  HP officejet 5740 - having problems printing.  Output is white pages with light smear.  However, when I run the diagnostic tests (step 3/level), information will print correctly.  Now, just keep using more and more ink on the different levels of test diagnoses but still cannot print or copy simple documents.  Suggestions?

  In fact, I found a video online that solved the problem for me.  Faulty ink!  Cartridges showed they were half full, but once I replaced the ink, the problem has been resolved.

  Never had this before so was quite a revelation.  Keep your answer on the record in case something pops up!

  I noticed you're wondering how to initialize the process of your HP Officejet 4500 Windows 7 configuration. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

  How do you connect your printer? Wireless, Ethernet or USB?

  First of all, I would make sure that you go through the hardware configuration, as indicated in this guide, setting up hardware for HP Officejet 4500 (G510) all-in-One Printer Series.

  Then, depending on your connection type, select one of the following guides:

  • Download and install printer Windows HP driver and software for a wired (Ethernet) network.
  • Setting up the printer on a wireless network for the HP Officejet 4500 Wireless all-in-One printer.

  After 2 pages print, my printer stopped printing.  Then I changed my cartridge, when I tried to print again, I got blank pages.  Just installed a black cartridge genuine HP.  I cleaned the print head 2 x and still get blank pages.  Can someone help me with this problem.  Printer was purchased 7/2013 and I think I'm out of warranty.

• HP OfficeJet 6500 E710n: HP OfficeJet 6500 printer problem - connection to new Comcast Wireless Gateway E710n

  Use this printer (wireless) for a few years without problem connected to a Linksys 802.11n wireless router.  Connected to a desktop computer and two laptops.

  Comcast asked recently that I update my modem cable to a new wireless, which also serves as a 802.11n access point wireless router.  I installed the new point wireless very well and has been able to set up the printer on a wireless network. (IP, host name and Mac address doesn't appear on the thin printer).

  I reinstalled the printer drivers on each computer and everything worked very well last weekend.  This weekend, I went to turn the Scanner on the desktop (HP Pavilion, Windows 7, 64-bit) and it wouldn't work.  Then I reinstalled the device drivers and then there was no connection to the printer (many reboots the PC and printer at various times during the tests).  So I ran again the connection settings on the printer - and led wireless term.  (I was able to get the scan to the connection to the computer once on one of the laptops, never the office, then lost.  When I send to the printer, it goes into the queue, a very small number of bytes, cross (usually hear the printer starts) then there lost error "connection to a printer.  Oddly enough, a couple of times after canceling the print job in the queue, the printed test page actually printed a few minutes later...

  I tried to use HP Print & Scan Doctor - it was a complete waste of time.  To date, it has always died (do not connect not not the unit) and never been able to diagnose something.  I end up having to go to the Task Manager to kill him because he always hangs.

  Any thoughts?  I'm puzzled.

  Appreciate any help/ideas that someone can think.

  FYI - I have still no idea what the question is / was?

  Connected to the gateway wireless from Comcast to the old Linksys router and I went back to my old wireless network.  After you have reinstalled the printer drivers, re-connection of the printer to the old wireless network, re-start the printer and computers - I was (finally...) manages to get printing and scanning works again.

  What a waste of a morning/afternoon.
