    Hello

You can only buy the individual applications of AppWorld. AppWorld is free.

AppWorld is just a store, buy individual items, what you want, when you want.

In AppWorld use the search feature, simply type tip calculator or conversion unit.

  • Including the conversion unit during printing technical product or a supplier file in PDF format

When we print product sheet and files of the supplier, the resultant PDF print or file contains no Conversion of units.  Would you be able to provide PLM 6.1.1.5 code to add information to Conversion of units (in \Reports\FO\GSM$xlate$.xsl) of the contents page in PDF format?

    Hi Dulce,

I think that there is already a model inside GSM$ xlate$ .xsl which can be mapped based on the product data specification and printing Unit Conversion. It also includes data of TS and density. If you're OK with printing as well as data, then the change is very simple:

1 find a model that corresponds on specifications with the mode ProductSpecs - this model of the plug product handles (should be around line 693).

    It should look like

    ....

    2. Add the next node in the model (inserting just below of the might be a good place)

This model corresponds to DesignAttribute node product sheet XMLand create a section of density, Conversion unit and TS - you can find the model if you are looking for 'match model = "DesignAttribute" ' which should be about 5741.

I think that this template is not used anywhere else so you can remove some of the sections in this model.

Also, be sure to bounce the application so that the changes take effect.

  • On the digital unit of string conversion

    Hello world

I'm trying to convert a digital control with min as a unit to a string.

The fact is that it converts in seconds before it updates the channel indicator.

I noticed that the format "in channel" will convert always first to the base unit (unit multiple value of units conversion value), as W kW (10 kW will display 10000 W) to watt unit.

Is there a way to format the entry without this conversion value to the first base unit?

    Thank you...

If you are looking for the syntax of using LabVIEW Format specifier, you'll see a unit option.

This is the format that you want to keep the string in a few minutes: g {min} %

  • ChnLinGenImp do not convert the value of units

    Hello

I use the ChnLinGenImp command in a creation of such as channel below.

    --> Call ChnLinGenImp(SpecChannelName,length,SpecNumber*1,0,Unit)

The question that I am running, I run the script for a conversion unit that converts the units if they are incorrect.  However the part convert does not convert the IMP channel, because it is a path of IMP.  Is in any way around that in addition to going to the ChnLinGen command?

    Hello J,

Only two options I know in tiara 2012 are:

    (1) give and make a meaningful string instead of an implicit string and let conversions of unit of the tiara to manage all

    (2) manage your implicit channels separately and re-create them whenever there is a change of unit - but you have to manage the offset and the conversion factor

For the linear unit conversions as degC to degF, I could imagine DIAdem running automatically on the offset values and factor of the implicit channel, BUT not all unit conversions are linear, and there must be able to operate on the values of the channels - you can not apply a non-linear conversion to a y = mx + b equation and get another y = I x + b' equation.

  • Unit of the y-axis of the power spectrum

    Hello

I am acquisition of acceleration of an IEPE accelerometer. Units of the axis y of the signal in the time domain are in (g). The signal in the time domain is then injected into the Spectral VI Express measures to obtain the power spectrum of the signal. In the Spectral Measurements Express VI, I put the results of linear and the window (Hanning). My very basic question is: what will be the units of the axis y with the linear option power spectrum and how can convert their return to unit (g). If you provide an example of calculation that would be very appreicated. One of my simple code is attached.

  • How to choose the time of conversion on a module in the series C NI 9207?

I have a NI 9207 C series module that is currently attached to a cDAQ chassis 9181 (it moves to a cRIO soon, however).  The manual States that there are two modes of conversion time, high resolution and high speed.  Apparently, the default value of the plant's mode high resolution since my maximum acquisition rate is less 20 Hz single channel.  I have read the manual to research how to define it, but the manual does not cover the intangible aspects of the implementation.  I think that there should be a way to do in the two MAX and LabVIEW.  It is enough to affect the rate of acquisition you want something that is supported only by the mode high speed does not switch automatically, because LabVIEW generates an error when you do this (frequency of acquisition application exceeds the maximum acquisition rate).

Can someone tell me how do to it.  I would like to know how to do it in LabVIEW and Max (if supported).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Well, I guess I just need to do some more digging and DIY.

I didn't understand how to proceed to the MAX, but in LabVIEW, you can use a property DAQmx Channel node.  I don't check the channel palette because I thought that it was configured per device / channel... I was looking on the property DAQmx Device node.

Thus, in case anyone else is looking for this answer to the LabVIEW environment, set this value using one of THE. ADCTimingMode on a node property DAQmx input channel.

  • fixed point conversion

How do I know how LabVIEW manages type conversions and type cast to point fixed.

In particular, I have two problems:

    (1) assume I want to convert an integer signed 32-bit to a point fixed <+ ,20,20="">with the function "-fixed-point."

Of course this conversion involves a waste of bits. LabVIEW will keep the most significant bits, or those less important?

The same problem occurs if I want to convert a fixed point of data (for example <+ ,20,20="">) to another fixed point data with fewer bits (for example <+ ,10,10="">).

    (2) I have a data represented with a point fixed <+ ,20,10="">and I want to cast to a point fixed <+ ,15,5="">by removing 5 whole bits and keeping the sign.

For example, I have the number - represented 1.5 in <+ ,20,10="">and I want to convert it to <+ ,15,5="">(to be noted that the two representations can express the number correctly).

How can I do such casting?

    Thank you

    Hi Tom,

That's a fair criticism, there are probably a few tribal knowledge implicit in the documentation. I'll give some briefing notes that might help a little:

    • LabVIEW makes a distinction between the functions of conversion (aka "balls") and casts. Conversion always functions are trying to preserve the numeric value, with a handful of out-of-range values with different rounding and overflow modes. Conversions integer/integer wrap, while all other combinations round to closest and saturated by default. If the destination is FXP, you can configure the modes.
    • Coercion points have the same behaviors as their corresponding conversion function.
    • Type cast is not supported on the FPGA
    • The fixed point to whole and entire Cast to fixed-point slur was created with use FPGA to mind cases. They are not pure bit casts, because they support extension of sign for an arithmetic scaling, as well as ways of handling overflow. I hope that the new documentation is a bit clearer on their behavior.
    • Number of reinterpret is a little pure cast to numbers FXP or integer, available on digital > palette to comma fixed only under target FPGA. It simplifies the behavior by limiting the length of the input word and output is the same.
  • Merge: Not available in mode Mac menu bar full screen

Merge 1 and 2, the Mac menu bar would show and hide when in full screen.  This was very useful to display the file menu to open these recent virtual machines and for suspension, change the display mode (unit/window/full), etc.

Now the menu Mac disappeared and is replaced by "title bar full screen" that always shows whenever the fullscreen VM loses focus even if it has the value to mask all the time, but under the Mac menu.  Seems a bit implemented by half and a straight copy of windows/VMWare, but regardless of the Mac user interface where the Mac menu located on the top.

Now the Mac menu never shows when it is in full screen mode.

    (1) how can I get the Mac menu to display full-screen mode?

    (2) how can I completely remove the title bar of useless display "full"?

It is my understanding that what follows is not supported, although it should work.

Change the file in VMware Fusion preferences...

/Users/$ the specified item was not found./Library/Preferences/VMware Fusion/preferences

    Add the following:

    fusion.showFullScreenTitleBar = "FALSE"

Note: Shutdown, not, suspend the Virtual Machine, and then close VMware Fusion before editing the file.

  • Preferences (vs picas pixels) / unit of measure for the application

    Hello

I need to adjust the geometricbounds of an Image in a rectangle with a JS script. But when I get the geometric limits for my image, it does not use pixels for measurement unit, using its picas. However, if I manually adjust the preferences in my office about Indesign pixels, the script runs correctly.

How can I change the preferences of "Pixels" of my script so that I don't have to manually check?

    Thanks in advance!

    Lloyd

There's nothing wrong with changing preferences. Simply change it back later. Play with unit conversions, it's more trouble than what it's worth (in my opinion).

If you wrap your script in a try/catch/finally block (change back in the end), that should change back 99.9% of the time units.

I am just using the preferences visible, so you know if it changes back fails (and will not break scripts legacy, based on the measures of the user interface)...

Your file PS does not contain the parameters of size or page orientation, so the PostScript interpreter you use

simply defines the configured default page size.

As the file defines something as a page covering (the name pagebbox is used), take the fiven values it

to build a State of page size. For example insert

    < agesize="" [792="" 612]="">> setpagedevice

right after the comment lines (lines starting with two percent signs). Forcing your PS interpreter

(condition he speaks at least the language level 2, that I take in silence) to make the formula for a

Letter size page orientation is landscape.

If you really want a portrait orientyation, you need to swap two numbers in the

Statement above and enter the code to scale down the formula.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

If you restart Firefox, is the problem solved (or at least enhanced)?

  • First HP - function erf

For HP first, when tracing of f (x) = erf (x), he gets the undefined values for integer x values.  ERF (1) or erf (2) is undefined.  No problem with erf (1.1).  Home in rpm mode, I can do it "erf (1.1)", Enter, Eval and get a value.  But when I do "erf (1) ', Enter, Eval it just says: erf (1).  This indicates as trace that the erf function cannot tolerate as integer values.  Even if I try 1.0 it still has a problem.  It has the value "approx. (erf (1)) ', Enter, Eval.  So what's happening?  Why would it tolerate "approx. (erf (1)) ', Enter, Eval but not to do anything with" erf (1) ', Enter, Eval?

Also, RPM mode I can't do 1.1, Enter, erf, Enter.  It requires the algebraic mode of this function.  This is the normal scenario for functions special single argument?  For example, I am able to make 1.1, Enter, sin, Enter, where I have indexed into sin instead of SIN.

    Hello

Iron and other elements in the menu "special" brought the side CASE of things. So when you do erf (integer), it keeps things as a symbolic or exact object. The way in which the CASE in the earlier works is that a numeric value with a decimal value in it is interpreted as a numeric value and evaluate numerically. Try, for example, in the CASE of 1/2 vs 1. / 2 (with the comma on the 1. In one case, he renvoie.5 1/2 and in the other

While tracing the curve, the same thing can happen when the CASE orders. Chart approx. (erf (X)) draw what you want.

Now for RPN, this also has something to do with the CASE orders. In the CASE, there are really no command argument "single. You can do things like erf (1,2,3,4,3,4,2,2,3) and fortunately it will calculate for each of them. This allows you to use common or simple in very flexible ways commands. For example, sin can take any number of arguments you pass and calculate all. This allows passage without soldering of the vectors of arguments through complicated calculations.

During operation in RPN mode, the system recognizes now that this command is a command of CASES which can take any number of arguments you want. This is why it does not only immediately calculate the result. Give him a count within the () to specify the arguments to remove the battery. For example, erf (4) would consume 4 arguments and return a vector of the results.

  • Using a matrix with variables in it.

Hi all, I'm new on my HP 50 g so it can be easier that I am make it look like.

I'm writing an equation for my strength of class material. The equation is the following:

    K = ((E*A)/L) * [C ^ C * S 2 - C ^ 2 - C * S]
    [C * S S ^ 2 - C * S S ^ 2]

    [- C ^ 2 - C * S C ^ C * S 2]

    [-C * S S ^ C * S 2 S ^ 2]

The matrix is a 4 x 4. I need to be able to assign values to E, A, L and the largest C & S. So basically, I just need a scalar multiplied by a matrix. I can't find a way to make it work.

Anyone would be able to help out me?

I use RPN and CAS mode only has verified digital mode. I am really new to the HP 50 g but I can pass anything as longa s we can make this work!

    Thank you!

If you want to multiply many different measurers to the matrix,

or replace it with many different values of S, C, E, A, L, the best way is the following

store the original matrix (again, in this example, only using 2 lines of the matrix)

    [[' C ^ 2 ' * IT '-C ^ 2' '-(S*C)']]
    [[THE OF * c ^ 2' '-(S*C)' '-(S^2)']]

    "MAT".

    STO

the matrix is now stored in a variable called MAST

    now store the meter

    ' E * A/L '.

    "SCAL".

    STO

the meter is stored in a variable called SCAL

    now for the original equation

    "SCAL * MAST '"

    « K »

    STO

now for the first group of variables

    5

    « E »

    STO

    6

    « A »

    STO

    7

    « L »

    STO

    8

    THE OF '

    STO

    9

    « C »

    STO

all variables have now assigned values

    Press the VAR

to make sure that the variables are showing on the keys F1 to F6

Press the key to display for K

    EVAL

    SIMPLIFY (or ENLARGE ENLARGE)

and if you want the solutions of matrix in decimal form, press SHIFT RIGHT-> NUM (key)

to change the values of variables, for example, 'L', it is very simple... a value of 20 L

    ENTER 20

    LEFT SHIFT

L key (note that, to the left, then the selection key for the variable to be stored in the format works only in mode RPL NOT algebraic mode)

now to reassess the matrix * equation Measurer

    K key

    EVAL

    SIMPLIFY (or ENLARGE ENLARGE)

If you want to change the scaler, the same process.

    "L * E * A + 13'.

    LEFT SHIFT

    softkey SCAL

    K key

    EVAL

    SIMPLIFY (or ENLARGE ENLARGE)

    to change the matrix...

    softkey MAST

DOWN (this automatically the matrix in the matrix writer application)

Edit the required cells, and then press enter

with the matrix now published on stack level 1

    LEFT SHIFT

    softkey MAST

    K key

    EVAL

    SIMPLIFY (or ENLARGE ENLARGE)

    etc...

  • User-defined function: BAD ARGUMENT TYPE, ERROR

I am creating a function defined by the user, named DOTAN, to calculate the angle between two vectors X and Y.  The UDF looks like this: DEFINE (' DOTHAN (X, Y) = ACOS (DOT (X, Y) / (ABS (X) * ABS (Y)))')--> (see pic attached to the actual Calculator display).  The problem is that I can not set because as soon as I hit ENTER I get the warning: DEFINE ERROR: wrong Type of Argument.  I tested each component separately and I am sure that the problem is with the help of DOT (X, Y) inside a UDF, but I don't know why. Maybe I'm missing some setting related to the use of functions which take an argument that is greater than 1 inside a UDF. Just guessing. Any idea?

    Thank you

for some reason, the DOWRY is a commandment and not a function for the 50G.

You cannot use DOT in a function, you maybe wrote a program

    in RPL

    '--> x, y   '  x y DOT  XY ABS ABS * / ACOS   ' ""DOTHAN"STO

    [3.0] [0.3] DOTAN
    back 90 degrees

I never use the algebraic mode but I guess it's the same thing with a program...
