• Where the virus hides?

  Under C:\Documents and Settings\ Setting\user\Local, I could not find Temporary Internet Files folder, even through I set view of the file system checked and would like to know where the virus hide.

  These places do not exist.  There is no such thing as a "Documents and Settings" folder on Windows 7.  It will appear if you look in the files, but a redirect is false.  These batch files do not work.

  I was infected by a virus (initial symptom was redirecting me to different sites every time that I click on a google search result.)  I tried to clean it with a number of scanners (AVG, VIPRE, Trend Micro, Microsoft MSERT) a number of viruses have been found and cleaned (Ramnit.B, VBS/Generic, feat: java / cve-2010-0840.) THIS).

  However I have 2 pending problems, firstly when I run Microsoft MSERT there but that partially removes feat: java / cve-2010-0840. IT - I can't find out how to uninstall completely, then my initial symptom (mentioned above) which happens in internet explore (v8), Chrome and Firefox has not been set.
  Can anyone help?

  Uninstall all previous versions of Java, then make sure you have only one version (the latest version)

• Update Java 24 is originally vista not responding.

  I use a laptop Vaio running Vista Ultimate 64.  Very few problems (thank you), however two weeks ago Windows became very slow until it would take up to 3 minutes for the program to respond.  Things went bad, the only way to turn off the computer's power off.  Then, I got the computer to a restore point.  Clean all them looking for errors of disc or from viruses.  Java asked me to update, so I did.  Immediately, Windows becomes desperately slow and it froze.  I got about to restore again, and once again the update of Java caused the problem.  I can't find any info as to why Java does this, even on the Java site.  At this point, I don't update Java any time soon.  You have any info on this?  In my view, that the update of Java is #24.

  Now, my fourth day to investigate this, I discovered that Java may not be the culprit.  The same day I installed Windows PowerShell.  I just uninstalled, and my computer is now very fast, as it used to be.  Problem solved.  (I think).  Thanks for your help.

• Horrible virus that prevents opening executable files?

  I recently managed to infect my computer with the worst virus that I've ever seen. I was on several different sites at the same time research on Elder Scrolls traditions for a mod I did. They were TESNEXUS, The Elder Scrolls Wiki and PlanetElderScrolls... With Bungie.net. IM POSITIVE it was TESNEXUS who gave me the virus, as they were recently hacked and I check other sites regularly.

  The virus opens and downloaded instantly (less than 1 second) and the second, he disappeared from Firefox crashed. I knew it was a virus and immediately tried to open spybot, but a protective icon in my tray called "Spyware" gave me the notice:
  'Spybot.exe' is infected with W32/Blaster.worm

  I got a similar message for any program, including the editor of the register, System Restore and command prompt. It was not long until things began to disappear and changing. I lost a lot of data from my program files. Photoshop works more and more than most of my games. Whenever I open a file, it would make a sound screams instead of his usual.   But what worries the most is another message that appears at the bottom of my screen. He said that a large number of files have been transferred remotely on another computer.   Thanks to Malwarebytes, I managed to find the potential killer.

  I had a total of 9 infections, of whom 8 were temporary files listed as Adware.

  The latest infection was listed as spyware and it was found in a folder in my program called relevant knowledge files.

  Dear,

  I have problem with my iPhone backup 6 for the local computer when the backup process from the local antivirus installed on my computer by setting the Trojan virus hide the file name/calling (order details specification.exe).

  Whereas the iTunes collect all the files on my phone and try to save everything on computer with this virus Trojan, local antivirus blocks this activity and crashing save the process.

  Could you please help me find the way to discover this Trojan file in my iPhone and permanently deleting.

  Well I'm glad you got it up and running again. As you run fixmbr we believe only you had a corrupted master boot record. It could have been the virus you had, but do not explain why you can't boot from the CD.

  But it seems to work fine now. If you are not sure of your MBR and think that there is always a virus hides somewhere there is a detection program capable of analyzing your MBR for all changes that have taken place. The programs name is MBRCheck and you can get it here http://ad13.geekstogo.com/MBRCheck.exe

  You should be able to run it in Windows Normal or if your McAfee blocks it try safe mode.

  But I think McAfee would have found a boot sector virus.

  I used to click on the butterfly on the desktop and be connected to msn.com with Microsoft money msn window and various icons above as "Favorites", "email", etc.  Now, nothing happens when I click on the butterfly.  But I can click on the 'e' and get the msn money but still no icons at the top.  Microsoft has just downloaded and installed something new for me.  I suspect that's the reason for which something has changed.  But I don't know how to get to 'Favorites', 'email' and so on.

• How do you return the system to 15% system restore as I req more restore points

  restoration of retail Vista 64, compile it and install I reduced to 10 GB (jan 2008) but recently I noticed that I have only 5 restore points and I have a lot of free disk space and the recent problems with virus, mse, java wdoand (all fixed if all goes well) and I have forgotten the mvp who showed me how to reduce 15% I have a lot of restore points so that I can go back enough. • I want to format my hard drive and reinstall windows. How can ensure me that I can reuse the product key?
