VISTA INSTALLATION PROBLEM RE. MS OFFICE HAS DISAPPEARED

YET ONCE AGAIN, I WAS INVITED TO START TO USE THE BOOT CD. BUT THIS TIME HE WAS INSTALLING A FULL RE. APPARENTLY ALREADY THE ROOT FILES WERE DAMAGED. DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS.

NOW, I FIND THAT MY SUITE MS OFFICE WENT. IT IS NOT IN THE CREATED FILE.

COMMENTS PLEASE?

It can exist in the Windows.OLD folder if one has been created, but may not be re-installed or recovered from there.  You need to re - install MS Office again if you did a clean reinstall.  It is the same for all the other programs that you have installed.  If you have a Windows.OLD folder, we will be able to recover your data from it - but that's it - no program, no settings, nothing else.

Sorry maybe this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

The red color has disappeared from my computer. The moniter is ok.

    Hello

You did it changes on your machine before the problem?

It could be a hardware failure.

Things that can be loaded are listed below:

    broken monitor cable has...
    b. defective monitor.
    c. faulty graphics card.

    You can consider measurements:

    Step 1:

Double check that monitor cable is firmly attached. Try the Wiggles, see if the color returns.
    Step 2:

Test another monitor on the PC (Personal Computer), and/or the monitor on another PC.
    Step 3:

You may have a bad cable, or the monitor may be defective.

    Step 4:

Right-click on the desktop and select Properties. Go to the tab settings, and report on what choice was filed under 'Color quality' and what is the other choice in the drop-down list?

If there is no choice of color quality better than what you have, you may not use the correct driver for your video card or monitor.

Uninstall and reinstall the drivers for video card and see if the red color appears.

Follow the steps in the link to uninstall and reinstall the video card drivers.

I recently had a hard drive on my Vista crash.

I bought a new hard drive and began to install vista on it.  Whenever he develops the files copied to my hard drive, it freezes.  I tried so many times and it always freezes during the stage of expanding files.

Does anyone know a way around this?

Unplug everything except keyboard/monitor / mouse ther.

Here's how to do a clean install:

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  • During an update to Windows Vista, my office has disappeared with the task bar and start menu.

I can only access my and other programs through the Task Manager.  I have tried troubleshooting, I restore my computer on the eve of what has happened, but nothing helps.  Any ideas?

    Hi cthodges

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers Forums!

I would like to ask you a few questions to help focus in the right direction:

Are there other specific details that you can provide that will help us understand and solve your problem?

We can try a few steps and check if it works:

Run explorer.exe from the Task Manager > new > task. If the start menu reappears, it would confirm the cause.

We can now perform the following steps:

    Step 1:

Run an on-line analysis of your PC of malicious software:

If you want to scan your computer for malware and potentially unwanted on a Web site, please use the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner.

Windows Live OneCare safety scanner is an online service that lets scan you your computer to protect yourself, clean and operate at its best. Use our free protection scan to check and remove viruses, spyware and other potentially unwanted software and to find vulnerabilities in your Internet connection.

You can also run Anti-Malware on your computer. Follow the steps in this link:

    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistasecurity/thread/ba80504b-61f1-4D71-960f-b561798b7b42

    Step 2:

To use a boot option, follow these steps:

    a. restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    b. Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and press ENTER.

    c. when the boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in the bottom, select the installation that you want to start and then press ENTER.

If it works fine in safe mode, infer you that all third-party programs are causing the problem.

Put the computer in a clean boot (namely if any third-party software hinders the process)

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Check with step 1 (run a clean boot):-If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

(Note: after find you the problem causing the program, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program and also don't forget to put the computer to a normal startup)

    S tep 3 :

The SFC utility allows administrators to perform an analysis of all protected resources to make sure they are the correct version. Whether SFC should find all incorrect versions in one of these protected resources, SFC will be replaced by the correct versions.

You can still run a sfc on the windows vista computer scan. To run a scan suite sfc as follows:

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the command prompt type sfc/scannow , and then press ENTER.

    Hope this information was useful.

Whenever I try to install anything, such as MSN Live messenger, Skype, or update the latest version of iTunes, I get an error.

He now tells me that the installation could not be completed because the path is % APPDATA%\.  I really have no idea what it means.  But he told me the Installer failed because another program blocks.

My update does not work and I think it's been a while since my computer had any appropriate updates.  I read through many messages forums and tried about everything except to reinstall my operating system that I really want to avoid.

  • I have Vista installation problems

I bought Vista Ultimate in March 09, I bought a seagate Barracuda 500 g to install it on.
Aiinstalle it ok andcommenced transfer my files a few days later, my new hard drive crashed with vista and all my files. I bought a new drive 650g go digital and decided to install vista again, this time in 64 bit (no mistake no drivers for my sound card after spending a week sent to the sites of the manufacturers to get the last 64 drivers, I gave up in disgust, I have now returned and installed vista 32 on digital weston.)
My mow question is that vista is going to blow up my new drive (it has a compatibility issue with the large capacity disks.)
can I use a program to drive to make it easy for me to up grade my drivers?
can I get a registry cure for vista Microsoft does have a list of compatible service programs available.

To go to 32-bit to 64-bit, you will need to reformat and do a clean install. (Although it sounds like you have already reinstalled Vista)

This means backing up your data in first place, Windows installation, drivers and all updates. Then install your software.

There is no problem of compatibility with the large capacity disks.

You will need to install fresh 32-bit drivers.

What do you mean by 'save the cure for vista?

What do you mean by 'service programs? If you mean that security programs, as far as I've seen that all modern security programs are compatible with Vista 32 bit.

  • Vista installation problems

I have a Pavilion a6334f running Vista 32 bit.  I ran into problems with the Western Digital hard drive and replaced one in October and now do the same thing in December/January (replacement of WD drive showed error.).  I had HP recovery discs that I used in the OCT reinstall.  (The game I did when I first bought the machine does not).  I used these to recreate the initial installation of the machine.  The process is going well, but met an obstacle at the end of the installation.  He stopped with a message "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run this hardware.  It's strange because it's the same drive I ordered from HP to reinstall, I had to do in Nov.

Well, I've tried decided to try a reinstall with recovery disks that I created on this same machine.  (These were created after that I got the machine in Oct.)   This time I got the OS installed and working, but now Windows will not update.  I get an error message which is a Code 8024 A 000.  Nothing seems to work to solve this problem either.  The operating system seems to think that it was updated on October 19, which is probably when I started the installation on the first hard drive.

Any ideas?  Start with either scenario.  Scenario 1 I used an HP provided set of disks.  Scenario 2, I used recovery disks that I created on this machine.

I fell on the fix.  It turns out that I needed to install a newer version of the Intel storage driver version 9.6.0.1014 for my machine.  The site of HP had only version 8.6 on it.  Once I put that on the updates started working.  I remember seeing errors in my log windowsupdate that indicate an error of data store, so I guess this should be a tipoff.  Intel has a utility that you can download that will show you the good update.  Someone had suggested earlier the upgrade to version 10, I think, but that did not fix the problem.

  • Satellite P300-27 t - Vista installation problem

    Hello

I just got a satellite P300-27 t, which came with Vista Home and I wanted to install Vista Ultimate instead.
He had 3 partition (labeled WinRE, Vista and data).

Then I backed up everything (never even connected on this version of Vista Home never), deleted the first two partitions and has started to install Vista Ultimate, the beginning of the installation worked fine but it failed all of a sudden with this message:
"Windows cannot update configuration to start the computer. Installation cannot continue. »

An idea what is causing that and how do I get around?
I must be missing something obvious here, but it can't know. Sorry if that's one of the questions that opens every time here, but I have not found my installation.

Thank you very much in advance.

    > I want to put my Vista CD in the drive, start with him and then install Vista
The point is that you can do this without installing SATA drivers!
Books supports the new SATA controller and the driver is not part of the operating system, and therefore you must first install it.
You need the Intel storage Manger.
Check out the Toshiba driver page!

However, you can set the compatible SATA to AHCI mode and you can install Vista without driver SATA need.
