Vista OEM of Emachines detail record

My client purchased Vista OEM of Emachines. It seems to be a retail version as I'm prompted to save the operating system. Originally, the OS is XP Home, but the computer is out at the time that Vista appeared on the scene. Microsoft and Emachine indicate he had no problem with that, but neither Microsoft nor Emachines will help.

I installed the disks of Vista of Emachines, and the computer works perfectly, all the drivers, etc. My problem is that I get the message from Microsoft saying the OS is not saved and cannot go beyond that. My client is completely frusted as I worked on it for more than a month. Pleas Help!

Recently, HARD drive of my secondary office failed and I bought a * computer, ZBOX and Vista installed on this computer as well. However, the activation on the ZBOX will not move forward. It is the third computer on which I have installed vista. I tried online and phone activation. Upon activation of the phone talker asked me how many computers, I installed this version of vista on and I replied "two" and tried again with "three". The talker has informed me that all product licenses have been used and I need to buy a new product ID. How should I proceed? Thanks, Bragaul
