  It may be worth trying. Stop the laptop, remove the AC adapter and remove the battery. Now, press and hold the power button on the laptop for a good 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

  Now, Windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, open sound, video and game controllers, right click on your audio device annd, select Properties.  Click the driver tab, and then click on "Roll Back Driver".  Once done, restart the computer and see if that helped the issue with your audio files.

• How do uninstall my CS6 software from a computer that no longer works?

  My old imac just died as well as all the software on it. I bought a new imac and have managed to reinstall most of my old Time Machine software. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do that with CS6.
