Licensing of Vista OEM 3pk

Hello, I bought windows vista OEM 3pk for my new computer several years ago. It was my understanding that I could use this activation code on 3 computers I have built/bought. I currently installed on my main desktop I built and sold this product windows for. Then I used the product key to upgrade my secondary office (which I also built) of XP. I have reinstall windows on my main desktop following some corrupted install video card, but since the motherboard drivers and the internals are the same (except for a video card I DGAR but it's the same brand/model etc) I understand that this does not count as another separate installation. Recently, HARD drive of my secondary office failed and I bought a * computer, ZBOX and Vista installed on this computer as well. However, the activation on the ZBOX will not move forward. It is the third computer on which I have installed vista. I tried online and phone activation. Upon activation of the phone talker asked me how many computers, I installed this version of vista on and I replied "two" and tried again with "three". The talker has informed me that all product licenses have been used and I need to buy a new product ID. How should I proceed? Thanks, Bragaul

I was able to solve this problem by contacting the Activation Center. I had tried twice before, but the key did not say anything to the talker and wait that it transfer me to a CSR.

  • The resale of Windows Vista OEM (dvd and license)

If I build me a PC parts and use OEM windows Vista Home, can I consider all 4 years later apart sells parts and the vista OEM software all stay?

The license is no longer in use. Therefore, it is fair to say that it can still be used by a PC? Should be sold with a 'part of this original PC' I built 4 years ago or a part of it, that is to say the motherboard or hard drive?

    Hi AhmedChowdhury,

    1. Yes. If you install Windows 7 on this computer have the Vista DVD and its product key / license that you can not use it as an installation legitimate anywhere else using this product key. or keep it in case you want to roll back to Vista, which I doubt as you'd like!

    2. that Microsoft OEM Vista DVD will contain the files to install the various editions of Vista; Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate. Microsoft retail Vista DVD will do the same. The only problem is that the 32 bit and 64 bit Vista editions come on different DVDs.

But with respect to the sale of a DVD of Vista without product key, computer owners can make their own or buy DVDs of recovery for their computer model OF the manufacturer, at a cheap price anyway.

And if their friends have a DVD Microsoft, Microsoft NOTES not Sanyo, Toshiba DVD, they can copy their DVD friends for nothing.

  • Vista OEM installation CD

    Dear Toshiba

I bought a Toshiba laptop (with vista oem), and I installed another operating system then vista on it.

Now (as I bought it) Im asking an installation of vista Toshiba CD or
a downloadable CD image (.iso) I can write and use it later if I want to.

I called the Toshiba locale support service and they told me, that I should somehow get a vista installation image,
and as I have a Vista tab at the bottom of my laptop it is perfectly legal.
As I refuse to fly or hijack the installation of vista on the internet image because I already bought,
IM asking installation OEM CD from Toshiba directly.

Can someone tell me who should I connect directly?

PS: I have never installed or accepted the Vista license, so I accept a refund too. But I'd be happy with a
Legal OEM installation CD. Everything is easier to achieve.

    Hello

It's user forum and if you want official statement from Toshiba, then you are on the wrong place here. The declaration of support is somewhat strange and it won't work. If you want the official text, how it works, you can also contact the nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer.
They know for sure how it works.

I know how it works too, but I'm afraid that you will not be satisfied with my answer, so I don't want to start writing anything. If you want to read it anyway please let me know or just check out the recovery on this forum category. You'll find a lot, but really a lot of discussions with exact explanation how it works.

  • Conditions of the retail of Windows XP Professional and license and decal OEM COA / label question:

Hello everyone and especially lawyers license!

It's pretty obvious (applying common sense) that a single license is a single Installation, no matter if Windows XP, Vista or 7, or OEM or retail.

    However...

    Question 1:
Is that the only true, firmer and more correct to do statement?
""Windows XP Professional OEM license dies with your computer / caisse".

    Question 2:
I have two DELL computers. One is with Windows XP Professional OEM (Dell) and the other with Windows Vista Business OEM (Dell). I would like to swap/Exchange two licenses COA stickers (if it's physically possible) and simply change the Microsoft Windows operating system on these two computers. From what I understand at this time - and please correct me if I'm wrong - Microsoft Licensing policy said it is legally impossible. True? Fake?

    Question 3:
This question is about the "decommissioning" of Windows Vista business to Windows XP Professional. I'm OK with my understanding that there are some licenses of Windows Vista Business out there that can be legally retired, and some who cannot?
How do I determine by looking at just the Windows Vista Business OEM COA sticker, if it is a license that can legally be downgraded or not?
If it can be downgraded, can I license Windows Vista Business COST just the installation of Windows XP Professional key, when asked to enter?

Thank YOU ALL for your expertise and your help!

    Hello

Question 1: "Windows XP Professional OEM license dies with your computer / caisse"-c' is licensed OEM is NOT transferable to another machine and once your dies of PC/LAptop, then the license dies with him.

Question 2: You cannot exchange an OEM license of any computer to another. This includes exchanging the COA from one device to another, making of this ould invalidate your license, as the certificate of authenticity shall be kept with the license provided with the original machine.

Question 3: Downgrade rights allow you to get off at analogues for the same edition of vista, IE company from Vista to XP Pro, you cannot downgrade from Vista to XP Pro home.

hope that answers all your questions.

  • Downgrade from windows XP Professional vista OEM

If I want to downgrade my windows XP Professional vista OEM, I fill in key windows xp product of google search,.
    It will be illegal?

You can not downgrade Vista to XP. You need a separate license for XP. Yes, it is not legal to do this. Found on Google product keys should never be used.

  • Vista OEM previously saved on portable computer diff no longer works, want to install on another

What will happen if I install my own OEM Vista version that I had already installed and registered w/MS on an old Compaq laptop but is no longer use this laptop and to install the version of Vista OEM on an old HP dv8000 has Win XP on it... thing is, barely, I used my version of Vista and this old Compaq because shortly after I put all that registered with MS, the LCD screen is kaput and I took the thing out, and so it is since that way... not working... I lost all that money on the purchase of Vista and never really used a lot. So, what I'm wondering is MS will allow me to activate my Vista OEM version if I install it on the dv8000 with same serial number supplied with the pkg? do I need to call? They let me use the same serial number or is it possible that because I OWN it, they just issue a new product key that so I can install and save Vista on the dv8000? and what is the phone number for the activation of MS service? I should maybe just call and talk to them and I hope that I can reuse my version?

    Hello

Microsoft, you cannot move your OEM license to another machine.

And you don't know you have a license to use it according to the discretion of Microsoft.

    Licensing rules:

If the machine came with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.), this product key supplied with the machine is for the preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) and system builder OEM license is bound to the first machine it is installed on and dies when machine who dies.

  • Install Vista OEM giving no end of trouble

So, I have two computers right now, and I am trying to install the version of my Vista OEM on the first computer.

The first computer I bought from dell on 3 or 4 years back, and he came up with an OEM version of windows vista and a disc re - install. It's the computer, on that I try to install Vista, but that's the problem. This computer has 4 SATA ports, but 3 of them are broken, so I can connect only 1 SATA, my CD-ROM drive or HARD drive device. In addition to this, I can't boot from a USB device on this computer, so I can't install the operating system on the hard drive of this computer using this motherboad of computers.

So I thought ok, I'lll just use my other computer to install the operating system. So I plugged my HDD from my work computer and installed the OEM of Vista version on the hard drive, it starts on this computer. I took the hard drive and put it back in the 1 sata port on my other computer to work, and I get a BSOD... I read that the OEM of Vista version cannot synchronize a motherboad, but this is ridiculous. I bought vista for this computer, I ran vista on this computer for 4 years now, until I temporarily used this drive in my other computer. Now, I am very disappointed to find that I can't install vista on the computer vista was originally bought for...

[b] for a long time, has not read [/ b]

I have a product key to do this, so I wonder if there is a legal Vista download, that I can install on my HARD drive using a computer, then put the HDD on another computer and activate with my code product, without getting a blue screen of the dead...

I tried everything, short of resorting to piratebay, which is looking very tempting right now.

    Hello.

I'm interested in the resettlement of former PC components from a computer I already have (the components in question are: CPU, mobo, RAM, card graph, HDD, DVD drive) in another case.  As all components essential are staying together, the Vista OEM software that came with these still usable components, even if the components should be used in another case with a different PSU?  And if so, is it acceptable to just remove the sticker of the species and re - apply to the new matter?  Please let me know what you think.  Soon :)

As long as you use the same motherboard, you can reinstall the components in a new folder and still meets the standards of Vista OEM license agreement.

  • Resettlement and Vista OEM activation on the same machine with different Hd.

I have hard disk problems and was wanting to know if I can reinstall Vista OEM with the same key, the system I built a few months ago, which apparently needs a new HD, all the rest is original. I have heard, a person cannot change the motherboard, but the beautiful la belle fille girl to MSoft, told me on the phone I couldn't change anything. Now I'm afraid to buy the necessary hd.

    Thank you

    Any help much appreciated.

  • XP to Vista OEM

    People,

In my previous posts in it, I was lucky enough to have access to Microsoft Volume licenses. Currently, however, this is not the case. This leaves me a little of a link being that the company does not want to spend money on upgrades.

Which brings me to my question - a handful of our machines are still running XP. HP OEM XP. Of these machines, the majority of them is licensed to Vista and have been downgraded to XP. This being the case, I am now able to upgrade these machines to Vista using OEM license?

    Any help much appreciated.

    HP

    You are the very welcome.

Vista Business has been the only OS that Microsoft obtained the right to downgrade to XP Pro for.

Do not for example rights to downgrade from Vista Home Premium to XP Home or Pro.

Virtually no consumer PC came with Vista Business. There was a custom order.

Let me know what the model # s of the computer you want to install Vista on, and I'll let you know if they are professional PC or not.
