Vista recognizes my Y510 as a Dell, in any case I can change it to Lenovo?
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/2122/dellgq5.jpg
This is a screenshot of the systems page. I think I have my computer recognized as something or no Lenovo affects Veriface is working on this laptop. Can someone help me fix this?
Yes, you're right. Wearing recognition system as causes of non-Lenovo Veriface, shuttle Centre, Power2go and easy to stop Capture because they are deighned specially for Lenovo.
If you customized your installation of Vista which has caused this - would recommend do not activate it by popular activators in internet, but to use your license at the bottom of the laptop key and correctly record the MicroSoft Vista.
For now try to recover the Nova. Turn off the laptop and then turn it on by pressing the button NOVA.

Restart Windows Vista KSOD - no cursor - CLTRL/ALT/DEL
After a Windows Update my 'spare' Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 computer laptop (MSI VR600, 2 Ghz Intel Core Duo, 2 GB, 250 GB of HARD drive memory) displays the famous KSOD. In my case, no blinking cursor, just a totally black screen. It is the first restart after installation of the Microsoft Updates. It seems that WINLOAD. EXE has hung or has not completed treatment by pressing CTRL/ALT/DEL just restarts the laptop. No disk activity occurs.
1. I ran the Startup Repair (symptom: a patch prevents your system from start) and it is not to fix anything.
2 rebuilt BCD
3 run BOOTREC /FIXMBR and /FIXBOOT
4 Ran System Restore point previous control and also the first available controlEverything indicates that WINLOAD. EXE has a problem with something after the Microsoft Updates, but there is absolutely no output.
This isn't a problem with the hardware of the new memory and HARD drive new worked for awhile.
CHKDSK runs clean!
I can't start the Vista recovery console no problem.
My theory, there is an update pending preventing Windows Vista to start, but in the absence of any exit or diagnosis any where to start?
I played with various options of BCD, debug, SOS and basic videos etc.
I even created a boot disk (remember those?) with WINLOAD. EXE and a BCD and bootmgr.exe what boots and I can't see WINLOAD. Run the EXE.
At this point, I'm ready to start debugging WINLOAD. Even if I have to follow all the EXE! While I could just restore this laptop to a recognized backup reliable, this has been a recurring problem with Vista and I finally had enough, BTW, I'm a COMPUTER Consultant with 35 years of experience.
Any suggestion is welcome. If I find something solid I'll repost it here.
Everything is nature!

I use Vista Home Premium on a laptop Dell 1545 Inspiron and Dell 968AIO wireless printer. I can't print the attachments of email but I can print several pages on the internet. I updated drivers and tried everything that other people have told me to try on other forums to the best of my abilities. I'm not otherwise qualified in computer science. Also, I will mention this all started when I restored my computer laptop back to factory settings. I did it because that's all I could think about. As far as coming back on my laptop, he did do the trick. Thus, suggestions, thoughts will be appreciated.
Thank you

I lost my CD of vista window. but his key... is there anyway I can download it install it n
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

Dell Latitude 10 ST2e compressed can not boot from an external USB optical drive
Dell Latitude 10 ST2e compressed can not boot from an external optical drive USB (CD/DVD)
The BIOS has no setting for it. It will boot from a flash drive. I would like to boot from my CD of 2013 Acronis Recovery Console. Anyone have any success to boot from a CD/DVD USB drive?
Yes, there is a way to do this.
I just did this to install Windows 10 from a DVD on a tablet of 10 Latitude by following these steps:
(Note: my version of BIOS is A08)1. turn off the 10 latitude power.
2. attach a USB hub to the USB slot unique on the side of the tablet.
3. fix a keyboard and an external USB CD drive to the USB hub.
4. now press the button down on the side of the Tablet and simultaneously press the power button for 5 seconds (until see you the screen light up, but will be weak against black unlit).
5. When you see the Dell logo, start typing on the F12 key (the lower right corner shows the option press the F12 key to choose single startup options)
6. now start choosing appear with many options to choose from, including my CD/DVD drive.Hope it will be useful to you.

Contact Dell Technical Support and they can help with this question. Since you have the sticker, if it doesn't work, the cable can detach.
