  • Problem with getting Vista to read my Morphvox mic

I installed morphox on Vista (that is to say, a voice change / morphing software).  My computer sees the Morphox microphone as an option, but when I try to ring Skype etc it is clear that the computer is not grateful that the microphone is.  I elimanated the obvious possibilities.  This has everyone puzzled. Any ideas?

    Hi bubblegum123,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

Showed the microphone in the recording in Panel tab > sounds?

Have you checked the settings in the preferences of Morphvox?

Have you tried this microphone on another computer?

I first recommend you install the latest drivers for the soundcard of the manufacturer of the sound card.

Note: Uninstall the previous driver first and then install the most recent driver that you have downloaded

    Try to configure the microphone

    1. right click on the speaker icon in the bottom-right of your screen and choose recording devices.

    2. click on Microphone in the window and then click Configure.

    3. click on configure the microphone in the next window and follow the wizard to configure the device.

Try to manually configure the microphone and the speakers used by MorphVOX.

    In Preferences > device settings

Microphone: This menu lists all the drivers of entry of valid microphone on your computer.  Choose the device that is attached to the microphone you will use to feed MorphVOX.

Reading: It is a list of the devices used to read audio data.  Choose the one you want to MorphVOX to use for echo/listening and auditioning the sound effects.  Usually, this should be left as "Primary Sound Driver".

Playback volume: allows you to access the reading of Windows volume control.

Use Legacy Drivers: Use an older way of capturing and playing audio. This should be used if you have problems audio glitching, or you don't use echo.

The microphone volume: allows you to access the microphone/recording of Windows volume control.

    Hope the above information helps.

Try to configure the microphone using the Windows speech recognition and check if it works it

    1. make sure the microphone and speakers are well connected to your computer.

    2. Open Options speech recognition by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, on ease of access, and then clicking Speech Recognition Options.

    3. click on Configure microphone.

    4. follow the directions in the wizard.

    I hope this helps.

Yes. Buy a reader able to read SDHC cards. You can buy them very
low cost;  for example, on Amazon.com, you can find one for $2.50
    US.

I have two of them I bought from Amazon: one that I keep on my
Office and another that I keep in my case of laptop for use when traveling.

  • Vista not read or recognize no matter what disc I insert - maybe he thinks I'm trying to burn a CD, even if I'm not.

Vista recognizes the type of disc inserted because the icon change CD, CDR or DVD.  But it will not read the disc.   When I click on the drive in Explorer, it ejects the disc & says "insert a disc.  When I reinsert (any drive) it ejects the disc again & says "insert a disc.

    Hello

Restart and do not open all programs except as necessary here and try this checklist.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    Hope these helps.

  • Satellite P100-10U preinstalled Vista cannot read DVD - event code 11

After the work with my new Toshiba P100-10U system could not read DVD more, it is still able to read CD-Roms! In Device Manager, an exclamation point grey is visible.

The event log indicates repeatedly "Treiber Der hat einen Controllerfehler auf \Device\CdRom0 found.", something like "the pilot detected error on \Device\CdRom0 controller."

I installed the system again, but the wrong behavior is still there.
    The system has a carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s drive.

I already checked the registry entry {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. There's no UpperFilter or UpperFilter attributes.

    Any idea?

    Thank for Kalle

    Hello

I m really surprised because such error problem should be resolved after the installation of the new operating system.
More as you already suggested the filter upstream and downstream in the registry key are mainly responsible for these strange drive problems.

In any case, I recommend to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot the laptop. After restarting again the operating system should recognize the CD/DVD drive again. You should see a message as new device has been installed or something like that

In addition, it would be desirable to use a system like CCleaner repair program. It s freeware!

Finally, you should check the registry again if the upper and lower filter exists and delete it.
Don t forget to reboot the device.

    Good luck

  • Lsass.exe on Vista constantly reads and writes three times. How can I stop this please?

After starting calm down.  Task Manager indicates that LASS. EXE continuously reads and writes.  It shows three readings and three written a couple of times per second.  The readings are still 204 bytes and the writing are always 132 bytes.  This action stops.

  • WMP11 Vista cannot read attachment WMV files.

Vista Home Premium 32 fully updated and current running.

    WMP 11

    DirectX 10

Whenever I try to play a video that is contained in an email as an attachment (webmail), I get the error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player cannot support the
file type or a required codec might not be installed on your computer. »

However if I download an attachment on my desk, WMP will play very well.  There is nothing wrong with the file because it does not play after downloading.  I tried with several different WMV files and the result is the same.   These same files play fine e-mail on my XP system.  I get lots of emails with attachments and have to stop and download each of them is a pain.

The file type is correct (WMV).

The file will not display all properties of the WMP playlist as an attachment.

See the file propertioes of the WMP playlist after downloading.

It shows the Code Audio: WMA 9.2 video: WMV 9

Another showed: V8 WMA and WMV V7

I ran SFC/scannow, and he said there is a mistake he could not correct and referred me to C:\windows\logs\CBS\CBS.log but I can't access it.  I tried several different ways, and I get "access denied".

What web browser do you use to access webmail?

Unfortunately, it is a common problem and is caused by the e-mail client or the web browser not related the correct file for WMP type. The only solution is to manually save the attachment to disk hard (as you have already discovered).

  • photos on CD - R in Vista can not read in XP

I burned the pictures for a total of 628 MB on a 700 MB CD - R using Vista of reading.  I used the system of active files and ISO image formats.  Nor will allow the CD - R to open on XP.  On Vista, it shows all the photos that have been copied.

If I use the Live file format & copy only 20-25 photos on CD - R, CD opens on XP.

Is it possible that I can avoid using so many CD to copy photos?  I'm not very known to the computer!

Perhaps you could use a memory card or a USB flash drive to transfer
    photos.

If you insert your Vista created CD - R in the CD/DVD drive on your
Machine XP and go to the... Start / my computer... can you right click the
The drive letter of the drive and select Explorer? This lets it
See the directory of the CD? Maybe you can copy and paste or drag and drop
photos from there to a folder on your hard drive XP.

  • Tecra M2 - card reader does not work on Windows 7

    Hi all

I installed Win 7 on my TECRA M2 and everything worked well at the same time... except for one thing! The SD card reader is not recognized (works well with XP).
    Hint please?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

The card reader is listed in the device with the yellow exclamation point Manager?

Normally, I suggest that you should try the Windows Vista driver card reader, but there is no driver on Vista card reader available on the Toshiba site.

So it seems that you have to live with this problem or you try a driver from another laptop computer card reader

  • Two devices in Vista on Satellite M100-222

Under Windows XP, a playback device has been recognized for the laptop. Sound can be heard through the computer speakers portable or you could plug in headphones and hear the sound of their share.

Under Windows VISTA, two reading devices or "High definition Audio Device" s are recognized. One of them, when the default is actually the speaker for laptop system. The other when the default value is actually the headphone plug system.

In other words - it can not just pass from speakers to the headphones just plugging headphones into the socket. You must also not select the correct playback device, otherwise no sound. This is not good! Help, please!

    Hello

Your post is a little confusing
I installed Vista on my laptop (unfortunately it s not M100) and I don t needed any reading to hear the sound of the speakers or headphones.

As far I can understand the Satellite M100 supports 2 microphones; built-ininternal mic and external microphone jack.
But this has nothing to do with double Audio devices high definition

The motherboard supports a good chip Realtek ALC861. Maybe an update of the driver from the Realtek site will help you.
If it won't help I guess it's a feature of Vista on this device and it must deal

I visited the European Toshiba driver page and didn t find the Vista drivers for the U400 PSU44E series.
Are you sure that you downloaded the good HDD Protection Utility to 100%?

At the other hand that this error message may appears because the HDD Protection Utility is not fully compatible with the ultimate edition of Vista
I read in some messages that this might be the reason also.
