Restore the Tme Machine mail files

I did a new install of El Capitan who cleared my email files.  The system is saved in Time Machine, but will not let me restore the e-mail.  No way to recover the old email files?

You have restored the computer using your back upward, or did you create a new account, as if it was implemented for the first time?

  • Restore the project individual mail deleted

I tried to use Time Machine to restore a deleted project.  I can see the deleted project opens in the e-mail program. The instructions on the screen say 'click on restore' but the restore button does not appear when saved mail screens are rising.  I have also tried to go directly to the 'last to the top", but does not have backups of mail.  It doesn't seem to be a library under my user name file.   NOT a big fan of El Capitan... :-(

I think that your question is not Time Machine backup... I think you need to post this as the El Capitan Mail because BONE is certainly the question in the latest OS.

  • Restore the virtual machine to the new ESX box

    Hello

    I'm new on this.

I recived a set of virtual machines to another place and I want to restore to the newly created ESX. I followed the steps below to restore.

    Recived files:

    XX_YY. NVRAM

    XX_YY.VMDK

    XX_YY.vmsd

    XX_YY.vmtx

    XX_YY - flat hard

After I copy all the files above using WinSCP, I could find the "XX_YY.vmdk" is copied to the XX_YY.vmdk.flatfile' which I have one copy of another on the server with the old name using the command #cp XX_YY.vmdk.flatfile XX_YY.vmdk?

I copied all of the above files using winscp client.

Open the VI client and browse the storage

right click on the "XX_YY.vmtx" and add to the inventory

Add to the popup to open inventory and asks me to enter the name of the template and that I have provided.

In the next window, I click on finsih, I see the error: "the operation is not supported on the object.

Any Document that would tell me more info on how to restore / import VM in my newly created ESX box?

    Thanks in advance

    Krishna

The files are in the format of model already if not the following.

Simply import the vmdk into ESX using "vmkfstools", then search for the data store, right-click on the vmtx file and select Add to the inventory. Also, you can simply rename the vmtx to vmx file.

  • Satellite C660 - BIOS Update Failed, need help restore the BIOS. BAK file

Everything by updating the system BIOS froze in step 7 to replace the code of the BIOS, needless to say that the laptop does not start because the BIOS is now corrupted.

I have the BIOS. BAK but need advice on how to restore the BIOS. I copied the BIOS. BAK on a key usb and it connected to the laptop computer and then powered on the system (now I tried the F, F2 key together). I can see the usb key will Flash initially but is not, clearly, progressing with the restoration.

I hope someone might be able to advise the use of the BIOS. BAK file to restore the BIOS.

  • How to back up and restore the system and program files to install new OS

    Hey all,.

I recently bought a new Toshiba 1 TB HARD drive. My old WD 1 TB HARD drive was giving me the end. occasionally, I get the BSOD. In addition, on occasion, when I restart the computer it automatically runs chkdsk program and reported several bad clusters. However the chkdsk program never seems to report the bad clusters, so periodically, when I restart, it runs and bring back them again.

I would like to the image or to back up all the files on my HARD drive problem, then do a fresh install of Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit (my current operating system) to the new HARD disk, and then restore the clone or image system and program files on the new HARD drive. I don't want to go through the process of reinstall all again, when everything seems to work very well. Given that the image of Win 7 program makes and accurate picture of the HARD drive, then use this program would cause the new installation of Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit to be replaced by the restoration of the image. Therefore, if there should be corrupted data under a bad cluster of old HARD drive, that data would not be transferred and my existing problem would be transferred to the new HARD drive.

On the other hand, if I do a clone of disc, I'm not sure that existing programs would continue to operate on the new HARD drive and would require a new install of each program based on the new installation of the operating system Win 7! I would have then lost my time to make a transfer of program/data files to my newly formatted and freshly installed OS.

Anyone know of any program (Acronis True Image, Paragon, Norton Ghost, Macrium Reflect, etc) that will allow you to image or clone the program and data (including the operational needs of the files such as: Win32 system files, files of activation, etc.) so that they will work properly on the new installation of the operating system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day.

    Ed Wood

"Questionable" disk formatting can hide bad sectors or replaces the original format.  It is not known if / when bad sectors could / will reappear.

If you have a player that you suspect problems, find advanced manufacturer of the car diagnostic tools.  Go to WD wdc.com website and get their diagnostic tools Data LifeGuard, to 'really' to test your drive.

  • Restore the database only have files DBF and CTL [Windows] [11.2.0]

    Hi all

Got a little a situation here. A development database (11.2.0).) on a Server Windows 2008 sank yesterday.

Something went horribly wrong with the hardware, so we can't start the machine.

I removed the hard drive and attached it to another windows machine. I got lucky and can get all the files on the disk.

Is there a way I can recover this database? I read some where people say you can just re - create a new database and then replace the DBF files.

Judge that worked pretty good, control files were attached. But when I tried to connect with any user, I got this beauty of an error:

    ORA-12432: LBAC error: zllessesinit:OCIStmtExecute (Yes it's English :-)).

Anyone have some advice on this? Should not be a solution for the above error. I just want to get current DB running on a virtual computer so that I can expdp data out of it.

You might have figured out, the original database has not been closed correctly, since the entire machine just crashed. If I can't get back it, this isn't a problem.

I'm quite new to the Oracle DBA part, so sorry if this is a silly question.

So unclear and more information needed, pull! ;-)

I found the solution to my problem:

It is possible to simply re-create the database, stop it and and replace the DBF files in the new instance.

However, I didn't know that the old database is a 32-bit version. The news is a 64-bit.

I re installed a 32-bit host on the new machine, and that did the trick.

Hope this helps other people with the same problem.

  • How do I restore the hard ESXi RDM file?

Hi all, I have created a file hard RDM using vmkfstools - z and boarded one of the virtual machines. However, I have deleted the virtual machine of the drive and re - create a new virtual machine in esxi.

When I tried to recreate RDM hard, it shows an error:

    vmkfstools - z/vmfs/devices/disks/t10. ATA___TOSHIBA_DT01ACA200______1234ABCD "/ vmfs/volumes/HARDDISK/VM/1234ABCD.vmdk"

Unable to create the virtual disk: the system cannot find the specified file (25).

I noticed there are additional files (: 1,: 2 and: 3) who were not exist when I created first the hard

    T10. ATA___TOSHIBA_DT01ACA200___1234ABCD

    T10. 1234ABCDATA___TOSHIBA_DT01ACA200___: 1

    T10. ATA___TOSHIBA_DT01ACA200___1234ABCD: 2

    T10. ATA___TOSHIBA_DT01ACA200___1234ABCD: 3

So, does anyone know how to recreate for RDM hard to mount on my new virtual machine without losing any data?

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the community,

Take a look at e.g. RDMs SATA drives create how to create the RDM. Also make sure that the destination folder (in which you create the map file) already exists.

The additional "files" that you see in the output of the command ls are partitions on this disk, which were probably created while the ROW was mounted on the virtual machine.

  • How to restore the ability to download files and documents?

End of last week I noticed that I had accumulated a large number of cookies. I decided to clear the cookies and history by selecting «Clear history of Firefox closing» I deleted cookies and closed Firefox. Firefox has started closing but stop responding before the end of the fence. I forced Firefox to close (Mac OS X 10.6.8) then restarted Firefox which has always failed. I unchecked 'Clear history of Firefox closing' and Firefox resumed normal operation except that I am now unable to download files and documents from any web site. I tried another browser (Safari 5.1.5) and downloads are normal.

    Any help much appreciated.

Check your other app or home screen folders.

If you can't find it always, settings - General - reset - Reset available to the home screen.

  • Restore the original on HD file to 'online '.

When I hit 'Delete' to delete a photo I usually get to choose between deleting the original file / delete 5 Lightroom.  Earlier, get the message: "the original file cannot be deleted because it is absent or on a volume that is offline.".  I did not remove the original file.  How the file can be returned to "online"?

Is there any point, if all that you try to delete the file? Simply use the option 'Remove' to get out of the Lightroom database, and if you want to remove from your hard drive, do so using whatever file manager you use (Finder or Explorer depending on your operating system).

The reason Lightroom reported the missing file is that you have either moved, deleted or renamed since Lightroom outside (so Lightroom is not aware of the change, and as he did not see the original file it is saved as "missing"). Otherwise, the file is located on a drive that is not currently connected or has had its drive letter (Windows), or the name of the drive (Mac) changed... again, Lightroom is unable to see the file.
