Vista SP2 will not download. Problem with Microsoft?

Hello

I am trying to download the Windows Vista service pack 2 and the download seems to download under the ussual mannor, but I get the message "data are not valid. In addition, it seems that download says it's over when it has only downloaded about 50 KB.

I tried this several times then and on several internet connections with the same error. Also, windows update will not download the service pack on the target machine.

I am using the following link to download from the Microsoft site: http://download.microsoft.com/download/E/7/7/E77CBA41-0B6B-4398-BBBF-EE121EEC0535/Windows6.0-KB948465-X86.exe

If I do something wrong, please correct me, but from here, it looks like there may be a problem on the end of Microsoft.

Thank you

    Hello

    To make another account with your same password - ADMIN upgrade - REBOOT (do not only closing session) and
    connect that account - you can download to use it? (do both ADMIN - one accounts in case that you
    migrate to it and another to test and difficulty).

    It while in the new use of the account to LOWER your account regularly APPLY / OK to need - and then lift back
    for the ADMIN - repeat several times - descent - go downstairs - raise - repeat. This allows to clear corruption.
    Make sure that the account administrator.

    Try your downloads in the new account - the downloads work in the new account?

    If necessary later this is the process to fix a damaged account or migrate to a new.

    Are some error messages such as low on ink, which was broadcast on XP is not on Vista SP2, is there a patch for this?

    It is strictly a printer driver problem.  Epson doesn't have no drivers for Vista or later on their website, you're stuck with the default from Vista drivers if you want to continue to use the printer with Vista or later version of Windows 7.
  • Callback thread will not end, problem with CNVDisposeData?

    I have a problem with a thread of reminder on a RT system. I work with CVI 8.5 on the pc and the engine Runtime 9.0 on the RT system.

    I use a client-server architecture, the client writes data to a network 1 d variable, the server is informed via a connection to the Subscriber and frees a callback function. My problem is, this callback function is launched in another thread (not the main thread) and is not over. I reduced the problem as much as I could, right now the only thing I do in my callback is to have the CNVdata. The problem occurs when the callback is released, create and destroy the connection to the Subscriber without calling the callback does not lead to any problems.

    The real problem with this, is that when my program ends, there are still threads running on the RT system, which can lead to problems later (I have a multi-day-measure application that crashes always at the same time, so I must really have it clean) to the left.

    I'll try to post a snippet of code to make sure you get what I'm doing (all in the main RT, for simplicity):

    CNVCreateSubscriber (serveurnom, dataCallback, NULL, NULL, 3000, 0, & dataSubscriber);

    While (!.) () RTIsShuttingDown &! error)
    {
    ProcessSystemEvents();
    Sleep (100);
    }

    CNVDispose (dataSubscriber);

    ProcessSystemEvents();

    CloseCVIRTE();

    My point basically looks like this:

    Sub CVICALLBACK dataCallback (void * handle, CNVData data, void * callbackData)
    {
    CNVDisposeData (data);
    }

    When I look at my son when running, I see from the callback thread, when I'm inside, but it's still there afterwards. In addition, what is CNVDisposeData supposed to do? The variable 'data' retains its value even after disposing. I don't see any change at all.

    I would appreciate any comments or ideas, I have tried to solve this problem for a few days and really don't know what else I could try!

    Yes, for the network variables, callbacks are called on a dedicated worker thread. Do not calls to ProcessSystemEvents - network variable reminders will be always called. You must call CNVFinish at the end of RTmain to ensure that the worker thread comes out cleanly. If your variable is hosted (configured) on RT target, then the worker thread can continue to operate even after the call to CNVFinish - I recommend that you host the variable on another machine, said the Windows host.

  • Microsoft 'Fix it' will not download/run/save

    Hello

    Microsoft 'Fix it' will not download, Vista SP1 32, running with the Defender, basics of security, AVG 9. and Win firewall. I added the site as exceptions on IE etc, but I can't get the .exe to others... BECAUSE IT WON'T SAVE TO THE OFFICE OR TO RUN!

    Help please

    Hello

    You shouldn't run MSE with a complete other antivirus. And Defender is disabled by MSE as it does
    the same function for spyware and antivirus adds.

    What Fix - it you try to run? What is the problem?

    AVG is probably the primary cause. I would uninstall it by using the removal tool or Special Instructions
    from their site - AVG 9 is causing many questions. Usually best to disable as much as possible before
    the abduction. Also download but do not install the replacements until after the deletion is completed
    and a reboot. Use the method below to all in the right order.

    Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN

    Here's what I use and recommend:

    Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with everything I threw at them.
    Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven very reliable and compatible.

    Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except away from Standard, Web and network is working.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

    Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

    IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

    I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
    (Sometimes you have to temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom right of IE)

    Avast - stop home - free - all shields you do no need except leave Standard, Web and network running.
    (Double-click the blue icon - details look OK. - upper left Shields - those that you do not cancel).
    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

    Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

    Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

    Prevx - Home - small, fast, exceptional CLOUD free protection, working with other security programs. It comes
    a scan only, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something to come back here or use Google to see how to remove.
    http://www.prevx.com/   <-->
    http://info.prevx.com/downloadcsi.asp  <-->

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

    Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever suspect malware, and that would be unusual with
    Avast and Prevx running except a low occasional (not much), updated cookie and then run it as
    a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

    ================================

    Your router may need a firmware update, but that would probably not produce
    bluescreens. And the rest can be processed after that AVG is out of the picture.

    I hope this helps.
