• Reclassification of VMmark 2.5 to VMmark 2.5.2

  Hello

  I have an installation old but existing of VMmark 2.5 with everything up to 10 tiles. VMmark executions go very well with full compliance.

  Now, I understand that present the results before 15 April cycle I need the patch with VMmark 2.5 1 or for presentation at a later date that I have VMmark 2.5.2.

  I have 3 questions: -.

  1. I am unable to find VMmark 2.5.1 fixes. Can see that for 2.5.2 here ( https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/details?downloadGroup=VMMARK_250 & productId = 187 & rPId = 3218 ).

  Has it been removed from the site now?

  In addition, I did not understand what should be the last date of submission of result with 2.5.1? It is mentioned as ' April 15, 2014 will be the last cycle in which VMmark 2.5.1 proposals will be accepted ".

  2. If I have applied fixes for such 2.5.2, mentioned here VMmark 2.5.2 released and README, I upgraded versions of material of all VMs to 10? Those current hardware version 7 or 8. It will affect anything else in my existing configuration?

  1 VMmark replaced 2.5.2 VMmark 2.5.1 that day, he was released.  VMmark 2.5.2 is a patch roll that contains all patches of the patch in VMmark 2.5.1 as mentioned in the release announcement.  There is no advantage in trying to update to VMmark 2.5.1 at this stage.

  2. the physical versions of your virtual machines are independent of version 2.5 of VMmark, ensuring that you have the same version throughout your workload types (Ex: virtual machines of DS2DB have the same version) is required.  It should not affect anything else in your system with the exception of the VMMARK2.config, also noted in the file ReadMe.txt Patch VMmark 2.5.2, but it is fairly easy to fill in relevant information to a version that is copied into your existing results files.  You can always make a complete copy of your directory VMmark2 on your preferred as C:\VMmark2-bkup just to be sure.

  3. This only applies if you have already installed VMmark 2.5.1.  Since you have not, you will need to do an extra step for the upgrade of the ptd-windows - x 86 .exe, which is covered in the ReadMe.txt of Patch VMmark 2.5.2.

  After having installed the pre-built Web server template and then installation of Staf, jrockit and Specweb2009

  When I try to run a Web server workload, I get the following error:

  Tile 0 Web server could not start / complete java specweb.jar

  Please contact the SPEC Office and make arrangements to return the SPECweb2009 kit (except if you want non-VMmark test)

  and ask SPECweb2005 v1.20.

  You need to specifically request v1.20 since you use it with VMmark since there is a newer release v1.30 who has

  its directory structure a reorganize to look more to of SPECweb2009.

  Then Istanbul AMD 6-core chip is officially on sale.  While I'm not usre that a box of Istanbul 12 heart could beat an 8-core Nehalem, I'm interested to see the VMMark #s.

  I have searched all over the Apple site and cannot find the release notes for Sierra.  I'm trying to find the official word of what are known issues with Aperture, thanks!

  Apple removes older versions from the Mac App Store, once a new has been released.

  If you buy any iPhone outright directly from Apple full paying, it is carrier unlocked.

  What happens if you buy a car or a TV, or other technology and then a few days later a new model comes out?

  You always bought what you paid for.  There may be exchange for privileges, or you may be able to sell your privately purchased item and then buy a new one.  Or you can be very happy with your purchase and keep and enjoy.

  In the case of the MacBook, if you buy a new computer running El Capitan, you will certainly be able to upgrade to MacOS Sierra once that came out later in the fall.

  If you can wait and explore the unknown, with unknown characteristics and an unknown release date, or you can buy a known quantity as soon as possible.
