VMware View 6.1 Zero-Client disconnect

We have recently updated our platform VDI of VMWare View 6.1 using vSphere 6.0 and Nvidia vGPU (K1 grid). (HP T310 ZeroClient 4.7.1)

Some of our users complain disconnects, some users have this error more than others.

The mouse stops and a disconnect after 30 seconds.

    VMware View 6.1.1 construction-2769403

    VMware vSphere 6.0.0 2776511

That's what's wrong: used SecurityServer and connecting to the server. External connection - via a router. When it is connected to a vmware PCOIP Protocol (Internet) outside of the view with a Windows client and a web browser, it works fine. But when connecting from Android or Linux (Ubuntu 14) load the desktop does not occur. Android immediately displays the message 'connection to server lost', Ubuntu delivers all messages - I'll be back on the screen to select a pool table.

Which connection via MS RDP connection protocol is correctly to all customers.

In the settings ConnectionServer in PCOIP Security Gateway set up the external address of the router.

    Redirect them router ports:

    Any ideas?

In security settings server in 'URL of PCOIP' was FQDN, but it must be the IP address.

Had the same problem with the t5145. HP said to allow the direct connection and it should work with vmview. However he has worked with the former client of 2.0 client just couldn't do SSO on. Technology of lvl 2 HP said that he could not do the tunneling using the broker.

  • VMWARE HORIZION VIEW 6.0: it does not serve any which RDS (using PCoIP) session to my zero Teradici Clients but it works with Horizon of VMware View client 3.0.0 from my computer

    Hi all

I'm testing view Horizon 6.0 Service sessions (Windows 2008 R2) RDS through PCoIP. I think that my setup is just because I can connect via Horizion View Client (installed in my laptop or my Android smartphone). But when I try to connect from a Client Tera zero, 1 or 2 (with the latest firmware), at the same time I did logon, I still have this error:

"View server connection has no return of available virtual desktops."

Could someone tell what can be wrong?

    Concerning

As a result of this discussion "Re: RDS support is included in Vmware View (broker)?" I saw that I must spend my customers zero to 4.5.1 firmware. Once I did, Tera 2 Zero Clients work very well but do not have customers zero 1 Tera.

    I expect response from Teradici.

  • Problems with the module supplier of personalized identification information and overview of VMware View Client working together

I have a Horizon of VMware View client that connects me HVD Windows 7. So when I give view client Vmware Horizon my credentials, it auto logs me. I also created a custom credential provider that works on Windows 7 PC. When I install the custom in the HVD credentials provider, it works if I am already connected to HVD and I simulate CTRL + ALT + DELETE. Can I use my credential provider to "unlock" in. However, if I disconnect of HVD and try to connect using VMware Horizon View client to connect to Windows 7 of HVD, it gets stuck on the screen of the tile. I see the VMware SSO user tile but nothing happens when I click it. Then, I use my provider of customized credentials to connect. I expect to bypass my ISP credentials on the first connection and self as before.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks for your help.

OK, I did some more troubleshooting and discovered that it was a problem with auto connection set to TRUE on my side of custom credentials provider (I pbAutoLogonWithDefault to TRUE). Since I still like it TRUE, I had originally set it to FALSE and then change for REAL once my credential provider was used.

    Thank you!

  • VMware View Client Logo/skin

We did it with other products before, but curious if we can change the skin of the Horizon of VMware View Client to something more exclusive to our society, such as our logo or by putting the name of the company in there.  We would also like to do on the Clients of zero if possible Teradici.

Anyone done this?  I watched the local folder 'skins' under the program VMware View\Client, but these are the old skins (don't know why they are still there).

    Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you should still do this, but I was able to achieve earlier on the VMware View client.  I discovered this by accident when I 'played '.  Within the facility there is a dll called wswc_en_us_409, it is in C:\Program VMware View\Client\bin.  You will need an application that will be able to open the dll, I think I used Microsoft Visual Studio.  In there is a bitmap (I think it's a bitmap) of the VMware View logo that appears on the client from the view.  If you create a bitmap with the same size, you should be able to replace it.  It worked on older versions of view, I do not know if it works on the latest version.

To do this on customers of zero Teradici much easier.  In the profile on the management console, there is a parameter named profile OSD Logo which will allow you to upload an image.  You will need to set the OSD Logo to use for setting banner Login to true.

When I connect the customer to see I'm automatically redirected to the WinXP for HER, without going through the window that lists usually all available virtual PC. This happens on all terminals, I tried. Other users, even if you connect to the same terminal, are given the option to select a virtual PC, even if they have the choice of a!

I have checked the setting for the PC virtual in the Teradici PCoIP Management Console and also the settings of the user under the Horizon view VMware administrator but cannot find where my configurations user and desktop are different from those that work "correctly".

Is someone able to propose what I'm looking for?

    TIA

    Thanks, Stu, for your input.

I arrived on the solution after you follow through with your suggestion above. I used the client on a Windows PC, then after that record on I clicked on 'Options' in the bar of VMwareView Client session and erased the text is 'auto connect to this office. We have the option 'Enable automatic reconnection' set to false, so I'm not sure why that followed me.

But the good news is that it worked!

  • Zero client tera1 and view 6.2

    Hello community,

Please can someone tell me if they are connected to the view via a zero 6.2 chip tera1 client?

I won't bore you with the details, but we are finalizing steps before moving the environment seen at 6.2, and I just want to check if any of our customers tera1 chip zero (Wyse P20) will work correctly.   I see that the latest firmware supported for the tera1 chip is well 4.7.1 that only support the firmware to see 6.2 is 4.8, we cannot use it on 80% of my estate to VDI.

Here, boredom, it's that when we bought the P20s for more than 4 years, they were supposed to have a shelf life of 6-7 years and although they work well on 6.1 (I know that is not supported on firmware 4.7.1 as well).  Whatever it is, we want to get a few good years out of the tera1 (mostly) faithful customers zero.

    Thank you...

Yes, I've just implemented 6.2 seen earlier this week in an environment with lots of Tera1s.  They do not work on firmware 3.5.1 but after 4.1 update, they work.  Firmware 3.5.1 the view connection server logs were filling with "WARN: expiry of the current session on machine user yyy xxx»  This error disappeared after I improved the Tera1s.

We also tested 4.7.1 in the lab, but I don't have it in production anywhere yet.  I imagine something more 4.0 might work.

Can you try to launch the client of the view with the option - once. View customer will leave when disconnect / logout / stop with this option remote desktop.
