VMWare View fails with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and smart card

I have two PC's are both 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate machines.  My laptop connects to my work PC, but my office will not.  He is aware of my smart card, but when I try and connect it fails saying "failed to connect to server to connect to view. Smart card or certificate authentication is required. "Anyone else had a problem like this?

See http://blogs.vmware.com/view/2010/10/troubleshooting-smart-card-authentication-using-the-windows-view-client.html for more information on this problem.  Let me know if you have any questions.

  • NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.

  • Tungsten T3 Hot Sync in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and WIndows XP mode

I've upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and now my Palm T3 will not be synchronized.  I downloaded desktop 4.1.4e 6.3 and 4.1.4. I tried all three in both windows 7 and windows XP mode that tells me is a 32-bit o/s but I'm really not sure.  I tried to hot sync in bluetooth in windows 7, as the T3 and laptop connect but he always tells me that the port is used by another program? Does anyone know what I have to do to get it to sync or am I've sentenced to throw my faithful T3 out? Any ideas?

Hello eaglesfan723 and welcome to the forums of Palm.

The Tungsten T3 HotSync driver is not 64-bit capable, this is why you can't get the T3 to HotSync.  Please read this thread to learn more about your options with Windows 7.

  • Games included with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Games included in the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits have been modified and differs from the Vista installation. example - in the game of hearts - open cards inside were all very common from left to right, and it's very tiring for the eyes, constantly looking for left to right. in Vista, open at the bottom cards were tightly compressed makes it easier for the eyes.

with Windows 7 for sure if you get cross-eyed playing hearts, your business can get justice for product liability. just a clock - so if you have the time to do the previous update, I imagine that customers would be happier.

You are right in the spacing.  You can take the game to exit full screen mode and narrow down the window is easier on the eyes.

I have an old problem with the FN key. I installed Vista and after a while, it stops working. Under Windows, when I press the FN button it freezes about 3 seconds a blue screen telling me that Vista crashed, begins a memory dump, and then restart the laptop. And now, bluetooth doesn't work anymore and if I try to enable it dows the same thing.

P.S. windows are new installed (4 days) and has automatic updates so far.
I reinstalled Toshiba Value Package and Bluetooth Monitor, Bluetooth Stack.

  • Miniature icons of files *.psd Photoshop under Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I have Adobe Photoshop 7.0 on my Windows machine 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and
Windows Explorer does not display the thumbnails of the *.psd files. I did some
research on this subject on the web and have been informed that Adobe does not
This feature for all versions of Windows. I found several supposed
workarounds, but none of them worked for me and then after a little more
Research has discovered that workarounds only work with 32-bit versions
Windows. Does anyone know if Adobe never will be codecs for the
miniature *.PSD which is compatible with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, or if
There is a solution for this that works on Windows 7 Ultimate
    64 bit? Thank you.

    Hello Nathan Sokalski,.

For now, I suggest that you need to find 3rd party options to be able to view PSD thumbnails.

I recommend that send you feedback to Microsoft about the lack of this feature in Windows 7.
    http://mymfe.Microsoft.com/Windows%207/feedback.aspx?formid=195

The feedback is read and discussed.

This is a thread about this on the Adobe forums.

It is the only solution I can offer at the moment.
