NO sound when recording Audio - problems with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I got in trouble for almost a year now with NO sound when recording Audio with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just found this forum today. It's really weird how recording with windows and other sound recorder works perfectly since 1998 or so until the upgrade to win 7. Now every time I try to record it shows no found recording device or just fails to record any sound. As you'll see below I have activated What U Hear so I can use the system recording features sounds.

I use the functions of audio recording and pdf reader because I'm legally blind. It is one of the few tools that I could use with ease on all my systems windows for many years.

A similar question has started happening with nvidia graphics cards. AND... I was led to believe that it was a problem with Sony wanting more strong piracy measures built into windows. Am I correct to assume that this is what is happening with the sound also today or is there a solution to this frustrating problem?

I run a dxdiag & posted that, according to me, you asked another user on the forum, the same or similar problem.

Help solve this problem would be greatly appreciated as this has been a problem for quite a while now.

You buy a genuine Windows 7 license. The copy of Windows 7 Ultimate, you have installed is an OEM SLP license that should only be preloaded with a new PC. You seem to have installed a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate that uses an activation exploit that bypasses the product activation.

We know that it is because the BIOS date:

    20080909000000.000000 + 000

Windows 7 was released in 2009, the date of your BIOS says 2008, which means probably that your system is provided with Windows Vista or Windows XP.

In addition, he is a well known Windows 7 Ultimate license which has been used all over the web:
    Windows product key: *-* - YG69F - 9M66D-PMJBM

Do a search on the web.

Thus, you must either charge your version of Windows that came on your computer (Vista or XP) or consider purchasing a license of Windows 7 genuine.

  • Dual monitor boot problem with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit after installation of any graphics program like a game.

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!

    Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:

  • No audio HDMI with Windows 7 Ultimate

Since the departure of Vista with Windows 7 Ultimate, I lost audio HDMI.  I can connect video successfully to my Sony KDL46VL150 but will not come out through the home theater system.  It comes via the laptop.  I tried to update the drivers, but clearly, I have not found the right pair.  I tried as well through the website of HP, and Intel.

The audio drivers in the system are now:

Stwrt64.sys IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Version 6.10.6276.0

Intel(r) High Definition Audio HDMI IntcHdmi.sys Version 6.10.0.2056

I suspect that the HDMI driver is not 64-bit.

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the tips.  I downloaded the drivers and the saved on the desktop as you suggested.  However, I could not find the graphics driver as you have described.

I also followed the following suggestion I had to re-boot with the HDMI cable connected to the TV and it worked.  I see now that I have 2 identical drivers (Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family) loaded in graphics cards.

In any case, the problem is resolved.

    Thank you very much.

  • Audio problem in Windows 8 Pro 64 - bit...?

    ---

Sometimes (about 50% of the time), sounds don't work at all, either when using headphones or built-in speakers...

    ---

    When this problem started:

This problem started on July 10 after a few automatic updates have been installed. According to the history of my update, this is:

    (1) update for Windows 8 for x 64 systems (KB2960837)
    (2) removal tool malware from Windows to Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows Server 2012, 2012 x 64 edition R2 - July 2014 (KB890830)

    ---

    How to solve this problem:

    Right click on "computer".

    Go to 'manage '.

    Go to "Services".

Right click on "Windows Audio" and "restart".

Then I restart the laptop and the sound is working again...

    ---

After the above, I did this:

    Went to "playback devices".

Went to 'Properties' and then 'Advanced' tab

Unchecked "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."

    ---

But still, half the time I start up my system, the problem is recurring and I have to redo the steps above to make it work again... When I go to "Playback devices" and right click on the speaker and select 'Test', I get the following warning message:

"The device is used by another application.

"Please close all units are audio playback on this device, and then try again.

    ---

But according to the Task Manager, there is no other application running which I think could do this... I got a Virus/Malware and did a full system scan and analysis in time start but there is nothing... While I can solve this problem by following the steps above and by restarting Windows Audio, I want a permanent problem solution please... I don't want to have to keep rebooting my audio system to rework...

Dear, I installed the HP Officejet Pro 8600 on a Windows 7 ultimate software.  Days later, the scanning application didn't work anymore.  Then I decided to uninstall the software and reinstall it again, but now I can not complete the installation because even when the software recognizes the printer, it can not connect it.

The printer is connected with an Eth cable directly to a router in the network even when my PC is connected.  The printer is properly connected and works well because I can print from another PC on the same network, but with windows 8.

Could you help me with a solution? I need to change in my windows 7?
