Void correlated, making query very slow

Hi all

I have a correlation query that performs evil and not sure why. Here is the code:
*Explain Plan:*

PLAN_TABLE_OUTPUT

Plan hash value: 1791134653

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
| Id  | Operation             | Name        | Rows  | Bytes |TempSpc| Cost (%CPU)| Time     |

|   0 | SELECT STATEMENT      |             |     1 |   262 |       | 16216   (7)| 00:03:15 |

|   7 |     TABLE ACCESS FULL | SZRAPPL_ADT |  1197K|    18M|       |  6791   (6)| 00:01:22 |
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Predicate Information (identified by operation id):
---------------------------------------------------

   1 - filter("SATURN_SZRAPPL_ADT2"."SZRAPPL_ADT_TIMESTAMP"=MIN("A"."SZRAPPL_ADT_TIME
              STAMP"))
   3 - access("A"."SZRAPPL_ID"="SATURN_SZRAPPL_ADT2"."SZRAPPL_ID" AND
              "A"."SZRAPPL_CHOICE_TYPE_NO"="SATURN_SZRAPPL_ADT2"."SZRAPPL_CHOICE_TYPE_NO")

              O")
   5 - filter("SKRUDAP"."SKRUDAP_TERM_CODE_ENTRY"='201100')
If I changed the line that connects the timestamp to the MIN (timestamp) of the sub query...
AND nvl(SATURN_SZRAPPL_ADT2.SZRAPPL_ADT_TIMESTAMP, to_date('30/12/3999','DD/MM/YYYY')) = (select nvl(min(A.szrappl_adt_timestamp),to_date('30/12/3999','DD/MM/YYYY'))

then I get much a much much faster response. By taking swapping that line, this is what the explain plan looks like:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

   6 - filter("A"."SZRAPPL_CHOICE_TYPE_NO"=:B1)

Centinul has provided a solution, I have provided another.

Interrogation of several times the same physical table should be avoided.

  • Hi fetch query very slow - maybe it's performance problem

    Hello
    I ask as below:
    SELECT d.gid "Global ID"
    FROM load_data d
    WHERE d.gid NOT IN (SELECT peo_no FROM ppenpart);
It is very slow. Is there any other query to extract as fast as?

    Thanks in advance.

    -San

You could try NOT EXISTS instead of NOT IN

    select d.gid "global id"
    from load_data d
    where not exists (select null
                      from ppenpart
                      and d.gid = peo_no
                     );

However, resultset may differ, so please test.

I think you might have some misconceptions about the work of parallel processing how and what to KEEP. You can also consult the manual of Concepts on when things go in the PGA, and when they go into the CMS and find out how to see the use of the PGA. If you try to load the buffers of the SGA by making a parallel with full table scan, it won't, because this combination uses your PGA and multiblock reads to increase performance - negative in some cases, such as yours.

  • Firefox 10 - installed and the performance is very slow, unresponsive while trying to load websites.

Just noticed the other day on my server and it could have been thought Nvidia driver. Update that and same result with Firefox very slow in delay/performance while making the web pages? Downgraded to Firefox 9.0 and problem solved. Return to previous performance levels.

Just received and installed the update for Firefox worm 10.02 and voila... all the symptoms of the problems I had been able to correct themselves? Always curious what the issue was with my install in Server 2008? Have the latest Firefox installed in Fedora 16-64 bit and works without a problem. I have dual boot this machine between the two O/S once again, thanks to all who offered suggestions or advice about my problems.

  • Satellite L650-1MC begins to be very slow

    Hi guys,.

I have a Toshiba L650-1MC, with an Intel i5-480M dual core with hyperthreading (2 cores, 4 threads), and since last Thursday (May 10, 2012) it was * very * slow.
The hard drive led is * always on, * and when I resize a window sometimes does not.

It has 6 GB of RAM (upgraded from 4 in February this year), and I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit.

Here is a list of the things I've tried:

-Made a * _full_ * scan of Microsoft Security Essentials, which showed no infection.
-Removal of 15 GB of files and software (disk cleanup, defragmentation, CCleaner, add remove programs and my old documents ect)
    -Disabled several startup programs.

I'm really anxious to get back to how it was, System Restore is not an option as the only restore points are from before I installed Office 2010 and I am very reluctant to do a system restore, because that would mean use my license 2nd and last for MSOffice.

Any ideas before going through the recovery methods? As a last resort, I can format the drive and do a clean install of Windows 7.

I would be really grateful of * any * ideas/suggestions you may have, because I'm really disappointed by how slow it runs and would like to get back to how it was.

    Thanks in advance.

    > Any ideas before going through the recovery methods?

I m wondering why the HARD drive light is still on did you check the fitness of HARD drive?
I would recommend this making the nice tool for such job is Drive Fitness Test Utility.
Is a freeware and can be downloaded on several pages.
Check the HARD disk using this software.

If there would be no error, you can try to recover the laptop as suggested by the detachment
    But
You did a good job. I would also clean the system using CCleaner, maybe you should try extra to defragment the HARD disk

  • Satellite A40-151 started very slow and have hours to transfer a single file

    Hello.

I've had my A40-151 more than two years now, and up to last month, I got no problems at all. However, last month, it began to be very slow and took hours to initialize. I'm worried that I would lose all the data that I didn't back up, and so I bought an external drive to transfer data.

As I was doing this, my laptop started making grinding noises, and it took up to 12 hours to transfer a single file. I got to the place, I bought it, and they said it had crashed and that it was not something they could do other than get it back - and so I lost all my data.

When I came back, it was OK for a few hours and then started grinding again! And I think it might be something to do with the CD/DVD drive. I uninstalled the drive, and the squeaking seems to have stopped as long as the "drawer" player is open! Help, please!

How can I get the drive replaced? My laptop is no longer under warranty. No I lost everything this that data for nothing?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

No, the squeaking is probably from the reader of CD/DVD being dry, while optical rides on squeak track passing. But the long loading is certainly a hard drive problem. Looks like a head crash. The head is more or less what locates and reads/writes data from the HARD drive. When this plant it is unable to read/write/or locate the data on the surface taking more and more to save the data, transfer data and load the operating system. Two problems independent of each other. If your ASP cannot repair the cd that squeaks, then they can replace it one that works normally. I hope this has helped you.

  • Satellite A30-514 is very slow and how to repair the cooling fan

My laptop is now very slow. Power on the need to use F1 at startup and it is also quite the slowness of the process. My machine has 512 MB of RAM, but shows only 480 MB on Control Panel. It is believed that it's a RAM failure that made the slow machine or something else. I tried maintenance but did not help.

Also any what has got the details how you can open the unit up to service the cooling fan as the machine heats up a lot and need a maintenance operation.

  • DIAdem v11.1 SEEN very slow to load pan and zoom 2D graphics axis

As for the user KJ2, I find DIAdem version 2011 very slow when loading the data in the display.

I have two laptops, a DIAdem 2010 operating and the other the new 2011. IAM loading the same PDM file into two versions.

The 2010 takes more time initially to load the data in the browser window, but it is almost instant when zoom and pan in the display window.

Load the file instantly in the browser of the 2011, but then takes an age to zoom and pan, which is very frustrating when the analysis of the data.

I can improve performance at the 2010 level if I load the data with an interval of small applied reduction (factor 2) - once again, it takes much more time to load in the browser window, but is now usable in the view window.

The only problem now is that all channels are renamed with the Appendix "sample".

I guess that's a result of the new feature 'optimised loading data' which I guess is only load the data when I need IE when zooming and panning in the display!

Help please, before I resort to re - install 2010!

    Karoline

    Hello Albert,.

It is a relatively easy solution:

In the BROWSER, go to the menu "settings":

In the dialog box that is displayed, change the setting of data "always load in bulk.

Alternatively, you can also change this in the dialogue box "parameters: compatibility", but I don't know what is the difference between these two methods.

Hope that helps, no need to return to the 2010 version after these changes. Oh and don't forget to save your configuration file after making the changes to make them permanent!

  • How can I improve the performance of my compaq presario V2000, its very slow

How can I improve the performance of my compaq presario V2000, its very slow!

According to many things (specifications, you have now installed vs the programs he came originally with programs, etc.)-it may or may not work better that ever he does now.  However, in terms of nothing other than the software and others on the subject - there are some things you can do to optimize performance.

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

Do some cleaning and dusting off this hard drive:

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

Windows XP should take between 4.5 and 9 GB * with * an Office suite, editing Photo software, alternative Internet browser (s), various Internet plugins and a host of other things installed.

If you are comfortable with the stability of your system, you can delete the uninstall of patches which has installed Windows XP...

You can run disk - integrated into Windows XP - cleanup to erase everything except your last restore point and yet more 'free '... files cleaning

    How to use disk cleanup
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310312

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

You can use an application that scans your system for the log files and temporary files and use it to get rid of those who:

    CCleaner (free!)

(just disk cleanup - do not play with the part of the registry for the moment)

Now that your system is generally free of malicious software (assuming you have an AntiVirus application), you've cleaned the "additional applications" that could be running and picking up your precious memory and the processor, you have authorized out of valuable and makes disk space as there are no problems with the drive itself and your Windows Update components are updates and should work fine - it is only only one other thing you pouvez wish to make:

Get and install the hardware device last drivers for your system hardware/system manufacturers support and/or download web site.

If you want, come back and let us know a bit more information on your system - particularly the brand / model of the system, you have - and maybe someone here can guide you to the place s x of law to this end.  This isn't 100% necessary - but I'd be willing to bet that you would gain some performance and features in making this part.

Vuze download is very slow... He pointed out that I have a nat problem... Help please.?

    Hello

    ·        What browser do you use to access the internet?

    ·        What is the full error message that you receive?

    ·        Is it only when you download on Vuze?

I suggest that temporarily disable you antivirus software and firewall installed on your computer and check to see if it helps:

    Disable the anti-virus software

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

    Enable or disable Windows Firewall
     http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

Note: disabling anti-virus or Windows Firewall can make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

  • Release of Lightroom CC 2015.6 VERY SLOW!

    Hi guys,.

I use Lightroom CC 2015.6 contacted Camera RAW 9.6 out of 10 Pro 64 bit and I have pretty decent rig: i7 6950 X (10 carrots), Asus Radeon Strix 1080 GTX, 64 GB 3200 RAM, SSD on PCI.  'Use the graphics processor' is enabled in my preferences of LR, but I don't see an important when different it is turned off.

First of all it takes LR about 3-4 seconds per image to build 1:1 previews, which means several hours if I have thousands of images from a shoot.

When I try to get a glimpse of some of the images at 100%, and to quickly move between them it works fine for maybe 5 minutes and then it starts to slow down: it takes LR seconds to create each preview and also from seconds to move between images. Furthermore, the previews are 3840px in size and average quality.

In Manager tasks I can see that at the start after start LR uses only 5-10% of my CPU resources and about 2 to 5 GB of RAM, but after a few minutes the use of RAM increases 15-20 GB and that's when LR becomes very slow. It seems he keeps each image previewed in memory and not release to the system when I close the preview.

I also tried another software to compare and other programs were significantly faster (Aftershot Pro is the fastest, followed by DXO Optics Pro and Capture One).

So it seems that this problem is strictly linked to the software and not to my material at all. Also, I noticed that after the recent updates, so I wonder if relling until one of the earlier versions might help.

Ideas to improve my experience with the latest edition of LR?

I'm really scared, because I don't really have time to wait for the software when working on thousands of images each week.

Your response will be appreciated. Thank you!

You have your system configured to save all 1:1 previews in your catalog for ever? I set mine to delete every 30 days, so I don't have all that stored somewhere in a cache with LR.

Because it goes so slow down anyway I don't think you have much to lose by trying to clear your cache. But read up on it before making this decision.

In addition, if your photos are stored on an external I wonder if there is a problem with this external hard drive bus speed?

Or if it's all beings stored on your local disk with the OS and applications, maybe it's having a shape any conflict with something the OS or a partner app? Do you think these performance issues when other applications are turned off? Just think-tanking with you here because it seems to have no else responded yet.
Hope of those is the solution.
