Voltage for modules of Pavilion dv7t laptop RAM

I have a 4GB module and a 2 GB module (provided by the factory) in my dv7t-4100.

I want to replace the 2GB card with another card of 4 GB.  I have two available, both for the same price and with the same specifications as stated except one:

Specifications: DDR3 PC3-10600 • CL = 9 • unbuffered • NON-ECC DDR3-1333 • 1.35v 512Meg x 64 • • and

Data sheet: DDR3 PC3-10600 • CL = 9 • unbuffered • NON-ECC • 1.5V DDR3-1333 • 512Meg x 64.

Both claim to be compatible with my laptop.  Is it really important if I choose the map of 1.35 volts or 1.5 volts card?  We run more hot than the other, for example?

Hello:

I would go with what the Crucial site States as they compatibility guaranteed - 1.35v

  • What is the maximum allowed by a HP Pavilion zv5000 laptop RAM allocation

The specifications for an HP Pavilion Notebook ZV5160US (DZ330U) available on HP web site indicates the allocation of eligible as maximum RAM (1x256M, 1x1GB). In the meantime, Crucial downloadable memory scan suggests that 2x1GB is a legitimate laptop SODIMM (2) configuration. Who should I believe; and, in addition, what truth is there for some versions of Windows only benefiting from extra RAM so memory "match" the size and configuration? This laptop runs Windows XP Home Edition.

    Thank you, Paul!

I did not hold much hope of much attention to issues related to this one laptop dated - but I am pleasantly surprised to find that someone was interested to address an issue that may find application even in conjunction with the latest computer models.

Given your answer, several nuggets of info available on the web (and on the web site of HP) and information from scan of Crucial memory, I will probably go with modules of memory of 1 GB. For sure, current applications can use (and most certainly end up using) all the RAM, you can collect!

  • HP Pavilion dx6667cl laptop Ram Memory Upgrade

I would like to move the RAM of my laptop so I would ask for help in finding the right to buy.

Care of my laptop is located here.

Memory 2048 MB DDR2 memory (2 Dimm) system

Memory Max Up to 4096 MB

Therefore, there are currently 2 x 1 GB and I would like to replace by 2x2gb. The problem is that I don't know where to find the most appropriate. I have searched ebay and found this.

However, I don't know if the article I found is compatible with my laptop. The series seems different, which is also the DDR2-6400? He also said SoDimm but mine is just Dimm. Any help with this please? Links where I can find the most appropriate?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I suggest stick with 5300 because it's the plug that came with the notebook and won't have any problems working. But if you are really specific to get a little faster you can go for the 6400.

    Hello

Through 2, 3 page in this manual:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04427554.PDF

There are two slots for RAM, you can put two 8 GB of RAM of the same exact brand & plug as shown in the manual. Then max up to 16 GB is possible.

    Data sheet:
    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c04454103

Go through page 104, 105 in the manual steps of replacement are not easy, and I would say you contact center of HP service in your region for assistance if you are under warranty as it will void the warranty for major disassembly can cause unexpected problems, if you're not used to it.

  • Pavilion 15-P001TX: RAM manually installed in the laptop

    Hello.

I have a laptop HP Pavilion 15 - P001TX, which has 4 GB of RAM, integrated into it. Recently I realized that for the purposes of my work, the 4 GB of RAM provided is not enough for me, so I want to buy another 4 GB of RAM and install it into my laptop, my 8GB memory total. In this regard, I have a few questions:

    1. can I install the RAM manually by opening the Panel of the laptop inside of myself? There are several slots of RAM for my laptop?

    2. doing so Will void my warranty?

    3. If my warranty will get Sub, can I buy a new RAM and ask the people of HP's service center to install it for me?

4 RAM which company will be more suitable for the model of my laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Rishi.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See pages 106-117 for the installation of the memory. It requires the removal of the motherboard and puts at risk the warranty.

On page 3, it shows that the Intel models have only a slot of memory. I think it's probably true for the lower end of Intel models and yours is an i5 so I think that yours has 2 slots memory I can't find documentation so you be sure had better assume she's a. So to have 8 concerts would require the purchase of a module of 8 GB.

    HP part number:

Module of memory of 8 GB 670034-005

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-693374-001-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-memory/DP/B00G2F3I4W/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=0F6ED1G94P46SD4A2NPS

Where do you live (single country) as this can impact your HP support options. I heard, in some countries, the Service Center will install memory that you buy from them if the laptop is still under warranty.

  • 2nd hard drive for HP Pavilion dv7t-4000 CTO Notebook - what do I need?

Hi, I have the HP Pavilion dv7t-4000 CTO Select Edition Entertainment Notebook (product # WV703AV). It can accommodate two hard disks but only came with one. What would need to be able to install the second hard drive? I need just a connecting cable or I also need to caddy or kit?

Also, would I get a solid state? My laptop that would support or should I just use regular?

Currently, I am on Windows 7 64-bit. I have a 500 GB hd (which came to be partitioned with hp tools/restoration).

Help with what I would need to a conventional hard drive or ssd would be greatly appreciated. I tried to look through messages of others first, but could not find anything specific to my model. Thanks for your time!

    Hello:

The only place I know where you can get a 2nd hard drive kit is that provider.

    http://www.newmodeus.com/shop/index.php?Main_Page=product_info&products_id=345

Your laptop should be able to work with an SSD, but I can't guarantee it.

I don't really see any point in adding an SSD unless you make the main hard drive, and to do this, you must get an SSD of the same size as the original 500 GB hard drive to use the recovery discs to reinstall the operating system.

Most people get smaller SSD and they use the W7 product key to activate a simple installation of W7.

If you can read all 25 characters of your product key for windows 7, you can do your own installation media and allows to install Windows on a smaller than 500 GB SSD.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. The link below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://download.CNET.com/Windows-7-USB-DVD-download-tool/3000-18513_4-10972600.html

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • The g7-2240us 17.3 "laptop Pavilion has 6Gig RAM. This may evolve and if yes what is the max?

In the product the seller information it says RAM max for the HP Pavilion laptop 2240us g7 is 6gigs.  Is this true or can it be upgrade (why else?) and if so how and what is the appropriate way to go and best bang for the buck?

    Hello

Your machine accepts 8 GB of RAM, it has 2 connectors means that each slot can have 4 GB. Your machine currently has 6 GB of RAM, its configuration must be 4 + 2 GB. You can get Max: 4 + 4 GB, so if you wish you can take 2 GB and buy 4 GB (same characteristics with each other) for the slot. The following link shows your machine for the RAM info:

    http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/HP+-+Compaq-memory/Pavilion+G7/Pavilion+G7-2240us-upgrades.html

You can buy from them or use the info to buy elsewhere.

    Kind regards.

PS I do it, there is no difference of 6 GB to 8 GB.

  • I want to add 2 USB3 ports for my Pavilion 9667ea laptop using the available Express/54 slot.

My question is, I want to use a: 2 ports USB 3.0 Flush Mount Expresscard 54 MM adapter card (one made by StarTech or similar) into the available Express54 slot that is currently empty. There is of course no reason to do this if the width of the Strip or BUS speed is not sufficient for USB3. I don't know what bandwidth is on the 9667ea of flag? If it's only 2.5 gb/s, then it will not be worth, but if it is 5 gb/s, then it might be interesting to do?

Would there be other problems by doing this update, such as driver problems?

As the Pavilion dv9667ea laptop computer was bought in 2008, so I suspect that the bus Express/54 is the ExpressCard Gen 1.0, which is the old standard. "StarTech.com" put this out in specification here.

This means that the flow will be 2.5 GB and not the 5.0 GB for the highest specification of the ExpressCard Gen 2.0 bus. It's a shame that a port USB3 is now not worth.

    Thanks for your help.
