  I can't update "windows" or "windows defender". Followed the steps described by Microsoft help, tried to download manually, have asked Microsoft to help (no response yet) these first two things didn't work.   I would recommend that we run a SFC (System File Checker) first scan to see what he finds. Try this:

  1. click on START
  2 type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter
  3. go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck all the entries displayed

  As I'm troubleshooting various problems, I want to know if the current version of a file system on my system has been patched already by a hotfix.

  I'm pretty convinced I used such a site [Microsoft if I remember correctly] a few months ago.

  I enter the name of the dll and obtain different versions / the latest available at the time.

  I'm not familiar with a reverse like this search.  But if you know the hotfix KB number, you can open the properties of that Web site and lists the versions of the DLL that it could have installed, which you can compare to your own computer to see if you are updated.

• Trying to fix Chkdsk from freezing to step 5 of 5 during a scan and trying to recover bad sectors and fixing file system errors

  On this afternoon, I ran chkdsk to check and recover bad sectors and solve the system files and then frozen at 43% on step 5 of 5. I left it on through the night and I went to school and came back, she was still at 43%. Then manually shut my computer and since I tried to solve the problem. It was the second time I ran chkdsk on this pc having windows 7 generally run chkdsk every month or so to make sure that everything works well. After that my problem is that I tried so many things that I ran spinrite, I reinstalled windows, I tried to run chkdsk on safe mode, I tried sfc/scannow, and chkdsk/p and all these things has not fixed the problem. CHKDSK/p was the only thing that does not even tried to fix anything because it says invalid parameter. Also when I reinstalled windows 7 on my pc then chkdksk froze to 49% on step 5 of 5.  I even ran diagnostics from the bios and I use Seagate Seatools and two diagnostics says my hard drive is perfectly fine. I also tried running chkdsk in windows 7 cd and for some reason any he completed in less than 2 hours. I then ran chkdsk from the pc and then it froze again it made me think that there must be something wrong with my pc. So I was wondering how can I get chkdsk to complete my PC again once instead of using the windows 7 cd every time.

  What is the difference between taking a snapshot of a virtual machine, including memory vs take a snapshot of a virtual machine and standby system files only (and not the memory)?   They are not the same.

  Correct your understanding of the file system option.  By also preserve the memory, the State power of the virtual machine is also well preserved (think of it as sleep your laptop) - memory is preserved intact in the virtual machine as well.

  I use Oracle RAC 11 g R2 + ASM.
  I am new to RMAN, but I am trying to build daily tasks to do below:
  
  1. backup of my database to the FRA located on ASM diskgroup + FRA.
  2. at the same time I want to save my database for Network File System (NFS) to be taken by system administrators to an archive location that I can't access. Since according to my knowledge can't copy files to ASM for outside... so for this I'm planing to use the command format of the NFS mount point.
  3. on daily basis in the NFS file will be taken by a work (that I am not responsible for) to the Archive, and then it will be purged from this location.
  4. I am planing to have my windows of 15 days retention strategy.
  5. on every day, I am planing to cross check my backup and then delete the expired so that taken from NFS in the journal of the archives is deleted.
  
  The RMAN I am planing to run it on a daily basis are:
  

  backup incremental level 0 cumulative device type disk tag 'FULL_DB_INCR_LV0' database; -- this will be to the default location (+FRA)
  backup incremental level 0 cumulative device type disk tag 'FULL_DB_INCR_LV0' database format 'NFS/oracle/backup%U';--another copy to be taken to the archive location
  crosscheck backupset;
  delete expired backupset; -- this will delete the backups taken to the Archive location

  Now my questions:
  
  1 what good solutions? take account of the fact that I need backup on the file system of the operating system so that the jobs of system administrators take the backup of their archives.

• Windows 10 - LR 6 files in my windows to the account tree (such as images, documents and downloads) may not be open, show empty subfolders .as and empty files. Folder of drive D especially show and act properly (not all)

  

  I think that if I use 'public' rather than 'charlotte', I'd be OK, but until now I just used a subfolder on D; drive for my photos from this week. 13 items view all files correctly. The problem is that LR, after that I have upgraded to windows 10. I would get my LR works entirely new. Soon.

  I finally found the problem and the solution - somewhere in windows 8 time, a few each of my dirs & pix out marked as hidden. I didn't know that was the problem, all I saw was greyed out icons. I have not had any problems of access, in LightRoom or any other application. After that I upgraded to w10, suddenly records were not showing the presence of content, all the files in the tree view of the photos my personal account showed greyed icons, and everything I copied to another location were also gray. LightRoom 6 import file did not see in any of these files, so I could not access any of the images in them. Somehow my poking around I discovered that all records in the tree of my personal have been marked read only and hidden. After that I removed the 2 attributes of all files and folders, LightRoom returns to see & access to all.

  I've updated Windows 7 Pro for Windows 8 pro on my Sony VAIO (model VPCF24C5E).
  Instead of using the kit to upgrade from Sony - which would be put to day/install the necessary drivers that are compatible with Windows 8, I decided to perform a clean installation and leave with the generic drivers.
  Everything works fine, except there is a device in the device manager that are displayed as "Unknown device" and another showing as 'System device Base' which has installed a driver, no one can be found.
  Also the only FN keys that work are the volume and mute keys. So I guess that one of these devices is something to do with those non-functional.
  I wonder if anyone can shed light on what are "Unknown" devices and "Base System" and what they are for and the drivers, I need to get them to function.
  It is not a major issue to be honest, as there is nothing that the FN keys do I can't access/adjust through the windows. But I would fix still rather the question anyway!

  I bought the HP ENVY 15 t-j000 Quad Edition and opted for the WSSD 24Go cache as well as the hybrid drive 1 TB. Do I have a problem just buy a kit of cloning and spend the hybrid propulsion system to a full on SSD in the future if I choose to?

  I did some research but I can't isolate an answer if yes or no I might encounter problems on account of the Intel RST be "associated" with the traditional HARD drive caching.

  So I wonder if I can't just simply disable acceleration of RST, clone HARD drive for an SSD via a cloning kit, remove the HARD and the SSD drive and call it a day?

  Any help with this is appreciated!

  Well, I think a pure 2.5 "SSD should work on the system but make sure the cache is removed. For the purposes of cloning, I suggest using the DD command:

  When Timo records the images in the database, you save it in the file system (examples on how to do this Java are available much if you just Google for it). Similar to Timo you then use the tag image to display pictures. The difference is that you can directly add the URL of the database table.
